Is anyone following Dr. Phil's Weight Loss Challenge? If so, how is it working for you? I just started reading the book, and I have seen the TV segments. I would love to read your comments about this challenge. Thanks!

I found the book hard to read. Actually, his writing style is very easy to read but some of the areas he talked about really hit a nerve with me.

He has a way of making you really think about your relationship with food. It was painful for me to face some of the facts about how I use food for reasons other than getting nutrition.

Some of the chapters were hard to read and that's how I knew that I really NEEDED to hear what he was saying.

I'm glad I pushed on and read the whole book. It has helped me a lot. I do not, however, follow the food plan he outlines. I have been eating low-carb and that works for me.

Best of luck. If you're willing to really think about how food fits into your life, you'll get a lot out of his book!

I did really good reading it in the begining, and then I got so busy that I haven't been able to finish. I plan to make it one of my New Years resolutions.......to get get back on track and read it.

I think it does a good job of getting down to the issues. I don't know how good it will do to make you stop them, unless you faithfully practice the steps he tells you to do. It's hard sometimes to really recognize why we obsess about food and overeat.

Thanks for the responses! It seems most of the people on his show are having success, but they also have alot of support. I am curious how those of you who are following the book on your own are doing?
