Has anyone been to Dolly Parton's "Dixie Stampede" in Orlando?
Sounds like fun, but I would appreciate some reviews.::MinnieMo

I have not done the Orlando version. I did the Pigeon Forge and I was prepared to hate it and wound up really enjoying myself. It is very entertaining. (I would like silverware however!)

My hubby, 6 year old son, and I did the stampede dinner on 10-18-03 in Orlando and had a great time. The food is great plus my son really got into cheering for the North and he just loved booing and hissing at the South. Audience participation is great and I can't imagine a bad seat in the whole place. I would recommend it for anybody.

I saw Dixie Stampede in Orlando and it was a very enjoyable evening. Food was quite good, entertainment was fun, the audience was a bit small that night, so I think if you have a rowdy crowd it would be even better. The preshow was amazing!

Give it a try. You might find a discount coupon somewhere, too, so keep your eyes open for it.

A few tips from someone who knows a lot of Dixie Stampede employees and has seen the show a few times...

Dixie Stampede loves Christmas so they will be doing their holiday show from now through the end of the year. It is even better than the regular show and the camels from the nativity scene are very cool and sooooo sweet. Unfortunately, they are not housed in an area accessible to the public.

If you're thinking of going on a Saturday, try considering alternate dates - their Saturday shows through December 20 are almost all sold out.

Check "The Best Read Guide" for a coupon for $5 off adult tickets. That is one of the best I've seen.

Call to make reservations in advance because the shows are selling out. Just be prepared to pay for your tickets at that time.

Don't worry about where your seats are - you'll have a great view from anywhere in the arena.

Remember that your ticket prices do not include a gratuity for the server. If they've done a good job, please let them know with your gratuity.
