We are contemplating a trip to Hilton Head Island. What are your opinions of the Disney Hilton Head Resort? Any great things to do or things not to do?
Thanks for your suggestions!!

There are lots of things to do, but it's not an adventure park. The good part is that you can do as much or as little as you wish. There's lots of outdoor activities: golf, boating, swimming, walks, bicycle riding, even horseback riding. There's some fun Disney themed activites at the resort. There's plenty of shopping at the outlet mall (which puts the one at Vero to shame).
Check out my links.

There is more to do than in a beach town, like Nags Head, etc. Lots of outdoors activities, like kayaking, bike riding, etc. We tried it out with a 3 night stay a couple of years ago. Like you, we weren't sure if we'd like it, so we didn't want to book a week. This year we stayed a week---need I say more??!!!

We just got back on Saturday from HH. We had 5 nights and loved every minute. DS age 4 and DD age 2, we spent everyday at the beach. The Bigdipper pool gets very busy as well as the pool at the beach house, however there is always room at the beach.
We thought the accommodations were great, disney style without the parks. The Live Oak Lodge worked out great with the kids, we parked underneath and were able to take the elevator to our floor. We drove from southern Ontario and had alot of stuff with us. Definately will go back, might try Vero first.
