Hi A question that really puzzles me,
Ive got my tickets etc inthe post today from Virgin theres a form to fill out for the car to make pickup quicker,2 of the questions are employer and employers phone number.
Why is this do you have to be employed to hire a vehicle even though you pay for fully inclusive insurance?!
Virgins brochure say nothing about this,
What if you were Retired,Self employed, student Etc Does it make any difference??

Not sure what the significance is (apart from Dollar wanting to add more information to their marketing database), but I left them blank on our recent trip without any issues.

We've never bothered to fill these forms in - you just tell the blokey or girley at the Dollar desk these details. I always think it's quicker than them having to copy something down, especially if you've got writing like mine:p

But I see what you mean about the info. At the end of the day, you've already prepaid your insurance via Virgin, so who you work for is irrelevant, surely. I think it's a bulk standard form most of the US car hire companies use.
