We leave Sat with our 2 1/2 yo DS. We plan to nap in the room. will he still need spontaneous naps and thus our reclining stroller? I'm thinking about just renting one.

Definitely bring your own. It is likely more comfortable and reclines. Also probably has a nice basket underneath for stuff.

If you rent a stroller, you only have it while in the park and you are stuck without one while at your resort, DTD, or anywhere else you wander during your trip.

I totally agree with bringing your own. We just got back with our 2 year old and she rode in the stroller a lot outside of the parks (on our way to resort restaurants, to and from parks, DTD, etc.). We also stayed out late a few nights for fireworks and she would fall asleep in the stroller. We could then take her back to the room without having to wake her up and return the stoller and carry her or make her walk (we were at CR, so we could walk or monorail back to the hotel. We didn't have to take her out of the stoller until we got to her bed).

It may be according to where you are staying. Our first trip, we stayed at the CBR and rented a stroller at the parks, because we didnt want to fight the stroller on the bus. That worked out real well. Our daughter was 2 at the time. Our next trip, we stayed at the poly and our daughter was 4 and little brother was 20 months. We carried to cheap fold up strollers, and it worked out great because we could load the kids in them at the room, roll them directly on the monorail, and transport them that way. You cant do that on the bus. So to sum it up, if you travel by bus, I would rent. If you can get there by monorail, go with small strollers. You can buy mesh bags and umbrella holders to attach to the cheap strollers.

If you do not want the hassle of bringing yours, you also have the option of renting one from A Baby's Best Friend www.abbf.com

We have used them several times and have always been pleased with the cleanliness and comfort of the strollers they provide. Best of all Tracy (the owner) delivers it to your resort luggage room before you arrive, and then you leave it there again the day you check out. It is so convenient having it with us 24/7, not just in the parks, but to/from the parking lot and anywhere else (non-park) we go.

Best money we ever spend on our trips is with ABBF. Not just strollers but other items also (their full-size cribs are an absolute must!)

Hope this helps!

I'm a huge fan of the rentals for our situation (2 kids - 4 and 5), but for one 2 1/2 year old, bring your own. However, get really good at folding it up to take it on buses and work out a routine with the hubby on stroller folding/child assisting if you are going to be taking buses. Other than the pain of folding it for buses, you'll be glad you have your own - for the resorts, the airports, the walk from the parking lot to the park....
