Can DVC members really call the resorts directly to make ressies?

I read this on another site:

"DVC members can make reservations through Member Services as with any DVC resort, but you can also call the resorts directly seven days a week, 24 hours a day as long as you will not have to borrow points".

Has anyone ever done this?

Maybe I'm the only one who wishes MS was open on the weekends! Well, not really - I don't want my dues to go up just because I am impatient LOL

Haven't heard of that one. I would think you would have to go thru MS/

While at OKW I have extended my stay through the front desk on points during the weekend. I was told that if my request came during MS operating hours than I would have to go through them.

The DVC resorts can make same day type reservations directly and even allow the use of points, but I don't think you can make reservations more than a day or two ahead without going thru MS.

Cash reservations would be referred to CRO and point ressies thru MS.
