I know I'll probably get some replies that say staying at Las Vegas using DVC points is a very, very poor use of points because 1) the hotels there are so cheap and 2) you would do alot better by renting your points and paying cash and 3) you should really just use your DVC points for staying down at WDW, etc. But the cost really doesn't matter to me. We wouldn't be using our points that year to go anywhere else and I frankly don't want to go thru the trouble of renting points, etc.

So having said that - has anyone ever stayed at a Las Vegas resort thru an II exchange? If so, which resort did you stay at and how difficult was it to get an exchange?

Hey Wolfpack, I'd be interested in that too. We've already got plans to use DVC pts. for New York trips. And probably Hawaii. It's a timeshare, who says you can't use it other places too.

Here is a thread from this past June when we stayed at the Polo Towers in Vegas. We didn't have to use pts to stay there though. Friends of ours own a timeshare there and we went with them. This thread will give you info on the Polo Towers.

There are no timeshares on the DVC list comparable to DVC. I'd go with another option for that reason alone. I think there are a couple of people on the DVCtalk list that have stayed at Polo Towers at well. Go to TUG at tug2.net and read the reviews. Join first at $15 for year one with a free ad.
