DW and I are a little bit confused! :o

Do DVC members cruising on points get the same package as those staying on Cash. Are meals included? What is included as a part of the cruise?

Any information would be appreciated.

Having recently booked a DCL cruise for 2002 with DVC points:

Included
Stateroom accommodations on the ship
All meals (dining rooms, buffets, room service) on the ship
Meals on Castaway Cay
Non-alcoholic beverages with meals
Coffee, hot tea, milk, water any time
Live entertainment
Movies in the movie theater
Most scheduled events
Oceaneer Lab and Oceaneer Club children's programs
Port charges

Not included
Airfare
Hotel accommodations before or after the cruise
Ground transfers
Tips for cabin steward and wait staff, paid at end of cruise
Room service tips, paid when service is rendered
$5 per person for dinner, $10 per person for brunch, at Palo adult optional dining room
Wine, beer, alcohol
Soft drinks (except with meals)
Shore excursions
Spa treatment and tips
Some scheduled events, such as wine tasting
Travel insurance

In other words, a DVC member paying with points and a cash customer buying a "cruise only" package are getting the same thing.

Please let me know if there are any mistakes or omissions in the lists above.

Plus as DVC, we got invited to a DVC only party and got FREE DVC hats, food and drinks. Plus there was a raffle and some people won DVC towels and bags.

Just a clarification on the inclusion of soft drinks during meals. If you dine in the "sit down" restaurants on board ship your soft drinks are included. If you choose the buffets however, such as Topsiders or dine at the deck 9 stands like Plutos Dog House, soft drinks are not included there. Soft drinks are also not included on Castaway Cay nor are they included from Room Service.

There is a refillable mug available for purchase however which includes unlimited soft drink refills on board ship and on Castaway Cay. The price is $5 per day of entire cruise per person. 7 day cruise would be $35, 4 day would be $20 and 3 day would be $15.
