Hi all.
I was wondering if there are taxis available for hire outside the parks at anytime to travel to resorts. Sometimes it would be great to hop in one instead of waiting for the bus. Does anyone know how much the fares are? I want to budget in some of these splurges.
Thanks.

You can get a taxi either at your resort or the TTC. They hang around all day. If there is not a taxi at your resort, just ask a CM to call for one. Since they are at the TTC, one will come for you in a few minutes.

No idea of the rates.

Did a lot of taxis this trip.

Staying at the BWV. Cab fare ran between $8 and $12 (plus tip) pretty much anywhere we went. If going to/coming from the MK, the cab stand is at the TTC....otherwise its pretty much front door service.

It was wonderful to catch a cab for EE at the AK or MK - no standing on the bus. And we used it a few times when we were running "late." And for a whole bunch of resort to resort travel. The only issue we had was we had six in our party, requiring a van (which comes at the same price) so the van had to usually be called. Use the hotel bell stand.

It was still cheaper and easier than renting a minivan.

BTW, the taxis in WDW are contracted through Mears.....
