Oh boy, guys. I was walking this morning (39 degrees outside) and trying to figure why the ketostix wasn't changing color again and the scale hasn't moved, even though I have been on plan lately, when I started thinking...

What am I doing different than I was in the beginning?

Then I realized that I am not measuring stuff anymore! (meaning food, not myself:D )

I stopped measuring out the cream for my coffee, the splenda for my coffee (I have some packets that I will use from now on, instead of the loose stuff), even my vegetables. (Gee, the mushrooms smell good, think I will eat the whole package!).

SO... I am starting over this morning, and I am going to measure everything that needs to be measured. I also know that TOM will be showing up soon, so I am going to keep that in mind when I weigh in next weekend, and will NOT be discouraged if the scale doesn't move (or goes up:rolleyes: ) but will keep on measuring and exercising, and I know it will be a success!

Thanks for listening.

I think it is wonderful that you are recommitting yourself to measuring and doing what you were in the beginning. I think that we all get comfortable in what we are doing and think we can guess. You can do this, keep up the great work and you'll see the success that you want.

It's the little things that make all the diffence. Remember, it was just the little cookie and small candy that got us to the place we are/were. So, too, it will be the little things tha get us back to goal.

Keep your chin up and go for it!

One day at a time...we'll get there!

Jeanne,

Its hard isn't it. I know the one thing I realized most when I started WW was the portions. Wow I was eating a lot more than I should have at each meal.

I've been able over the last month to start to eyeball some things, but others I still measure out just to be sure.

Congrats on recognizing what needs to be done and starting it up again. The more you do it the easier it will become and soon it will be second nature.

You are on the right track! Good luck on your journey!

Way to go, Jeanne! :bounce: It's so inspiring to see someone do what you have just done!! You identified your problem and decided what to do to fix it!! It's so easy to just give up when things go wrong!! I'll remember your example next time things get rough!! :D :D

I am guilty of not measuring as carefully as I should. Especially when we travel and eat out a lot, can't really measure then. I'm going to be more careful, too. Thanks for motivating me!

Thanks for that reminder. I, too, am guilty of "eyeballing" things, and then little by little, my portions are back in the "could feed a small nation" territory! Glad to hear you've solved your problem!
Way to go!

Keep the Faith!
