Help - When to go in Feb??

We have a trip planned Feb 8-13 (before Pres. week!) My DH is in grad school and just found out a cancelled trip is being rescheduled for Feb 11-13. Our last trip he spent 1/2 the trip in the hotel room working on school projects - it was that or no vacation! We are going with friends and maybe some other family members (no one's bought plane tickets yet). I'm considering changing the trip to Feb 22-27 (week after Pres. week) but concerned with increased crowds.

Is there much of a difference in those 2 weeks??
These are the only 2 weeks that we have to choose from because of his school schedule. We already have rooms through DVC and plane tickets which will have to be changed but the fares are much lower so that will help account for some of the fee.

I'm so stressed over this!!

I am not sure about the crowds for the 2nd set of dates you mentioned. However, we were there this past Feb and are going back this coming Feb during the same time as your first set of dates. It was fabulous!! The crowds were almost non existant. The buses were great, not overly crowded at all. For our family of 5 (three girls 11, 7, 2), this is the perfect time for us.

We have gone on President's week. ANY week in Feb (other than that) ought to be JUST FINE according to the guidebooks.

Try to avoid Prez week if possible.

I went at the end of Feb. this year, and it was wonderful!! The crowds were small, and we walked on practically everything. Easy to get PS to eat at popular places at the last minute too. I'd LOVE to go at that time again, but my vacation rarely falls then.

Neither of your weeks are Pres. Week, so I think you should be fine either way. JHMO.

I'll be down there in Feb. too, but I have to go for the last part of Pres. Week. Feb. 18-23. No choice in vacation dates for that time of year for me. But that's OK. I'll be escaping a Michigan winter, so I'll be thrilled just to be there. :sunny:

Daytona 500 visitors will be there starting that 2nd week. The latter week in Feb would be better, jmho.

We are there 1/24-1/31 and had planned the first week of Feb, but flights were more limited and cost was higher than that of the week earlier.

Anytime you go is a GREAT time becaue you will be THERE!

Yes, the Daytona 500 is the 2nd week of Feb aound the 15th. Airfare and hotel prices do go up.
