Hi
Just booked for three weeks in a villa at the Montego Bay development which is apparantly quite new. Does anyone know anything, anyone stayed here or near here. I think it is near the large Walmart on 192.
Thanks

We have never stayed at Montego Bay but have stayed in developments nearby.
I was not aware that MB was fairly new, I thought it was at least 5 years old, cannot be sure though.
Maybe some of the homes are new and some not, I know we stay at Indian Point and some villas are several years old and others 2 or 3.

Hi
Montego bay is near the wal-mart on the 192 , so you are in a handy location for everything.
We haven't stayed there but my sil has,and found it great. We are hoping to book a villa there or in nearby chatham park next year.
When on the 192 turn down SIESTA LAGO this road takes you to montego bay.
Enjoy your 3 WEEKS -- WOW :)

Montego Bay is in a great location but the villas are about 8 to 10 years old.

Thanks...sounds like a good location.
We must have misunderstood regarding the age of the villa not that it is really relevant anyway.
Thanks for the info. Can't wait!

Johnny again here, completely agree regarding the location.
Just off the 192, short drive to I4 also, not sure about the Walmart, guess you have to go and make your own mind up - reminded me of a very big Aldi. Sorry, Publix for us...as for the age of the villa, I am sure you will be fine but I would personally never book one more than 3 or 4 years old.
Basically we stayed at a 10 year old one a couple of years back near Davenport, it had basically been neglected - web site out of date, the whole villa was in need of complete refurbishment,
couldn't use the pool for 3 days and ended up spending several hours on the phone, as our boy is Autistic it was a bit of a nightmare, ended up changing to one at Chatham Park after a week.
Apologies for being so negative.

Hi Johnny thanks for the added info. I have seen pictures and hopefully if they are up to date the villa looks great - you never know it is a chance you take booking privately.
I agree about the Walmart v Publix we have always been at the other end of 192 near Publix and I love it but a change is as good as a rest so let's see.
