I've had a bad few weeks. It all started w/last Tuesday's WW WI. I had followed the program and worked out 5 days and still gained. I didn't check in here and I basically said "screw it!" like I sometimes do when I get really discouraged. So I've been off plan and haven't worked out. I didn't go to my meeting last week b/c I didn't want to face myself. Granted I do have a few things going on making things very hard for me. Mike, my DH has severe back and shoulder pain and we've been going to soooo many doctor's appts, MRI's, physical therapy appts, etc. and our eating has been way off schedule of what it normally is. Also my Dad had a sudden attack of the pancreas and is in the hospital. He has pancreatitis and they discovered it was due to a virus. They said he would be okay, but he's in a lot of pain and very weak and when I talk to him, I fight back tears b/c he sounds so tired and beaten. That's not like my Dad. Plus I'm over 3000 miles away here in WA when they live in OH and I feel just sick not being closer to them. So I've been a bit worried and unhappy lately.
But I don't want to be fat anymore. I know I've lost so much so far and I know I can lose the rest. So last night I said to myself "okay. tomorrow is your recommitting day. no more excuses." And I did. I stayed in my points and did my WATP 4 miles. I went to the grocery store and nothing in my cart will get me or my DH off program. I drank my h20. I'm very proud of myself but I ned some extra encouragement and advise from my WISH friends to stick with it! Everyone on here is such an inspiration to me and I value every bit of good thoughts you have to give.
Thanks for letting me rant and vent, you guys are great!!

Good Morning Christiana,
Hang in there. You have come so far, you know you can get back on track. Even when you miss a few days or weeks there is always tomorrow.
Just remember how you have achieved your goal so far and model that same behavior.
Making that first step is all you need.
I'm sorry about your DH and your Dad.
Remember to help them you have to be healthy.
We all get discouraged, just hang in there.
I'm sending you :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes
Good vibes and good thoughts.:D

Christiana, {{{HUS}}} to you. It is very hard to follow a plan when so much else is going on. Especially since for many of us food is comfort.
I'm sorry to hear you are going through so much in your personal life right now and hope it all resolves itself quickly.
You have done an amazing job so far and I know you can do it the rest of the way! Staying on a healthy journey is the right path. You don't want to have your DH or DF worrying about you because of health problems. So you need to shed that extra weight and get healthy.
You've done so much that you know you can do it! I belive in you and you are an inspiration to me. Today's the first step in the rest of your journey. May the :sunny: shine down on you and make it a good one!

 for you, Christiana!! I also need to get recommitted. How about if we do it together? I noticed your beautiful cheat free star clippie. I got so disgusted at myself that I took my cheat free star clippie out of my signature. Maybe it's time to put it back. It really did motivate me to stay on plan.
OK Christiana - here we go! You and I are gonna tackle this one day at a time, one meal at a time, one choice at a time. Don't forget to post here to let us know how you're doing. I find my WISH Journal to be very helpful - do you have a WISH journal yet?? It works as long as you post to it and are honest.
We're gonna have a great day! :sunny:

Christiana, first off more  for you. You are going through a lot with DH and your Dad right now. Don't forget your fellow WISHers are here for support always so when you are feeling down come HERE! We'll keep you encouraged and remind you how far you've already come.
When I first joined WISH I read through your journal and remember how motivating it was to me to see how much you had accomplished and how well you were doing. You have accomplished a lot already and I know that you can get right back on track and get that scale moving downward again. You did all the right things to get yourself moving in that direction again - staying in your points, doing your WATP, drinking your water, and most importantly going to the grocery store and picking up all the things that will keep you and DH on plan!
Hope you have a great week on WW! :D

You sound newly determined and motivated. You're back on track and on your way to goal again. Your detour is finished. Welcome back, we missed you.
Promise me you will always post to the check in thread, even if you aren't happy with your progress. It is motivating to do that and it helps keep you on track, really it does. Try it and see, okay?
Hope your father is out of the hospital soon and that both he and your husband are pain free very soon.
{{{HUGS}}}, my friend. Hang in there, we're all here to help you stay on track.

One day at a time - deep breathes and the WISH board :D That's my recommendation.
Christiana, it is always a bummer when there is no loss for the week and especially when you were doing the right things. But, I can tell that you are on the right track - only WW friendly foods, exercising and drinking the H20. Hang in there it will happen.
Hope your DH finds some relief and that your Dad is doing better. Hope that you and DoeWDW can be pm buddy's, it sure does help to have a one on one support.
Post your success - we'll be waiting to hear about it

Hang in there! You can do it! You were only off for a little while and you have already started back so just keep it up. WISH is a great support group to help you through the bad stuff.
I hear you about the medical stuff, my dad had a quintuple bypass late last year and then my mother had surgery this Feb. I had lost 40 lbs. only to see it creep back up 25 lbs. but I stopped myself before I put it all back on and the 10lbs more that usually go with. Now with the support of WISH, I plan on taking it off and keeping it off forever.

Good for you to dedicate yourself again to being healthy. Don't be too hard on yourself about slipping, many people, myself included will reach for food when things are stressful. I hope your DH and Father are better soon, and as others have said you need to take care of yourself to be there for them. Good Luck, you're off to a great start.:sunny:

((HUGS)) Christiana,
I have been wondering where my PM buddy has been. I haven't heard from you in a little bit and I was worried about you. First of all, I am so sorry that DH's back is still bothering him, and I know how it really sucks to be so far away from your parents and not being able to just visit, and having to worry about them.
I am so glad that you have recommitted. You can do it. I am so proud of you! You have done such a great job of loosing over 50lbs. Great job on shopping and getting stuff that will keep you on program. You can do it.
Next time, don't stay away from us. Even if you don't want to post, just send me a PM. When your down, you need us most. Please don't get so down you don't come to us. And remember that you won't always loose, even when you are following the program to a T. Sometimes you will have several small losses, or no losses and then have a big one.
Keep your chin up Christiana, you can do this! We are here for you!
