I can't believe I am making the plunge! We decided on the Olympus Stylus 400.
I finally held one yesterday and really liked the feel of it. It doesn't have all the bangs and whisles but it is 4 mp and weather resistant. Which I love. I had a stylus several years ago and loved it but it didnt' have a big enough zoom. I never had a problem with it. Still works and takes nice pictures.
We plan to order I think by the end of the week!

You will have a lot of fun with it, I got one 2 years ago and was not quite sure how or when I wanted to use it, as I love my Nikon SLR, but this past year I have used it a lot. I now use both cameras and the new digital video recorder on my trips. You can take so many pictures with the digital camera, and I love being able to edit the pictures. Have fun with it!:D

I know you will really enjoy you digital camera. I did my research for more then a year. I wasn't sure I even needed a digital camera. When I took the plunge I bought the Nikon coolpix 3100. I have truly enjoyed it. It stays in my purse 24/7.

You are going to have fun with this!
My favorite thing to do with mine - is when my DD has a play date over I take a ton of pics of them - whatever they are doing - then while she or they are still here - I hurry up and make a collage with their names dates and a bunch of pics and art on it - make copies and send them home with one and put one is a special book I have for her!
Also - at her b-day last year I took a picture of each kid with her and then had all the kids paint and decorate wooden picture frames - by the time the frames dried I had the pictures printed and cut to slide in and they all took them home as favors!

Anyways - I am sure you will find a ZILLION other great ideas too!
Have fun!
Patty

Yes I am very excited and I hope we can have it by next weekend! WE have 2 kids going in 2 different directions. DH will have to take DD to the town Halloween parade to march with her brownie troop and i have to take DS to a birthday party of his best friend who moved almost an hour away (figure I should go, 2 reason 1. I am very good friends with the mom and he doesn't know them well and 2. my favorite scrap book store is 10 minutes from there house!
Last night I went over the pictures he need to take...and that I expected at least 12 shots....Which for him is hard to do. But with the digital I know he will play and take lots and lots!
