Where is the best place to shop for groceries when you are coming from the airport? How do you get there. We are going to BWV Thursday and need some help.
Thanks

Publix on SR 192 if you're ont hat side of WDW or Winn Dixie which is about 5 minutes down the road from Goodings and WAY less expensive. Go out the gate from Hotel Plaza Boulevard. You will be looking at the Crossroads Shopping Center(where Goodings is located). Instead of going straight to go to Goodings, take a left, go about 5-10 minutes down the road and Winn Dixie will be on the right. It is a normal supermarket, not tourist priced.

We like to stop at Albertson's at Orange Blossom Trail Exit 11 off of Hwy 417. We shop at Albertson's at home and so it is familiar to us. I don't particularly like shopping in new stores where I don't know where things are.

There is also a Winn Dixie on Apopka Vineland Road. We have also used the Publix on the corner of 535 and 192.
Have a great trip!

If you have a car, I would check in first. Then go to Winn-Dixie or Publix after you get the room, so you have a place to store perishables. Goodings is a nice store, but expensive, like doing your weekly shopping at 7-11 or the mini mart.

Since it just my husband & I, we usualy go to Goodings. Yes, it is a little more expensive, but it was close & time effective. However, I keep hearing about the Winn Dixie just down the street from Goodings. We will be off to Winn Dixie with my new Winn Dixie card in November. I wonder what Goodings thinks about a "real grocery store with real prices" opening in the neighborhood!

Thanks everyone! We have a late check-in so we'll be going right from the airport. We do try to stay away from Gooding since it is so expensive. We only need the bare necessiities so if we're too tired I guess we'll pay!
