Sorry if this has been asked before, but search isn't working right now.

I'm looking for an easy spinach dip recipe. My DS is being baptized at the end of the month and we're having our family over afterwards. I LOVE spinach dip, but I've never made it (my aunts always made it for my wedding and baby shower). I am NOT a good cook, so I need something fairly easy, but still tastes great!

Thanks!!

Sorry I don't have a recipe for the dip, I usually get it from my grocery store their deli has an excellent spinach dip that I always get so you might want to check that out.

Here's the receipe I use. I make a bread bowl to put it in. It is always a big hit!

1 cup Sour Cream
1 cup mayo
1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen chopped spinach, thawed, well drained

1 packet ranch dip

1/4 chopped water chestnuts

1/4 cup chopped red pepper

1/4 cup chopped green onions

1 clove garlic, minced

MIX all ingredients except crackers until well blended; cover.

REFRIGERATE at least 1 hour to allow flavors to blend.

I have a similar recipe that always seems to go over well...

10 oz. frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed "dry"
1 cup mayo
1 carton (16 oz.) sour cream
1 bunch green onions sliced thin or 1 med. onion, chopped
1 pkg. Knorr vegetable soup mix (dry)

Mix all the above together and refrigerate for at least an hour before serving. I have often served this in a bread bowl. If not, I get that party rye at the deli. Nabisco Wheat Thins Harvest Crisp 5-grain crackers (what a name!) are fantastic with this!!

You can also add some chopped water chestnuts for the crunch factor, if you'd like!

I have a slightly different version that is always served at every party we have. Fresh Italian bread is the key!

1 10oz box frozen spinach(thawed and well drained)
5 green onions
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
8 oz cream cheese
1 chopped tomato

Microwave all ingredients for 3 minutes. Stir. Repeat until everything is melted. Serve hot. We use Italian bread to dip but I have seen Melba toast and other crackers used!
