While getting my 1st chemo tx I sat and worked on my winter boarders it really took my mind off what was going on. Thanks Cindi for doing this at the perfect time for me...................:D
All the staff keep coming up an asking me what I was doing. They even want me to bring one of my albums in to show them when I go back next week. I told them I would start a scrapbooking 101 class on my chemo days........................LOL
At first I didn't think they were going to be as nice as they were I had my DH take a pic. of me because I want to scrapbook this and they told him WE don't take pictures here and I told them this is my DH and I want him to because I'm scrapbooking this then they were OK with it.
My friend are taking me out on tues to pick out a wig another photo op...................LOL
I'll let you guys know if I'm going to be a red head or blonde:teeth:

I hope you are feeling well. Keep your spirit High. You should start a class there I bet there is lots of people that would like to be thinking of something else. I vote for the red wig. You should go a little funky.

Take Care.
I would go for the blonde, I hear they have more fun but, I don't know I'm a brunette turning grey.

You must be one amazing lady! I love that you are taking this on with such gusto and that it is just another moment in time to scrap!
My dear friend is battling melenoma right now I know how hard it is. I went with her to pick out a wig. Have fun with it! Just remember you will always have great hair! LOL! It doesn't get messed up! The place we went the ladies were fantastic. So helpful...It was a little creepy all those heads looking at you! LOL! The funniest part one head looked just like my dear friend's sister! Another looked like a bad drag queen!
hang in there! I think scrapping is so theraputic during tough times. I made up a scrap kit for my friend to work oh when she can. You realize how important your life actually is!
Con't prayers!

So, Becky! Did you have fun at the Expo? You are one special lady, taking your scrapbooking with you to your treatments. Who knows . . . you might even get others interested before you're through. How often will you have to go? Will this be an every week thing?

Thanks everyone. I go back next wed to have bld work done then another dose then it will be once every 4 wks, so I'm lucky I only get to have 2 done before going to WDW.
Pat,
The expo had some good classes like the Vellum, color blocking and tags I enjoyed alot my 2 disney ones were a bust-teacher wasn't prepared at all. I won alot of door prizes which was really nice shared some of it with my friend who won nothing.
And as for taking the scrapbooking with me I have to get those boarders done all 72 (winter and holiday) what was I thinking of when I signed up for it................ But I have all of the winter cut out and about 25 of the holiday ones so I'm hoping to get them all done before we go away to WDW in Nov. I know I have until the first of Dec for it to be del. But I like to do it then its done (if you know what I mean).

I know what you mean about hating to have stuff hang over your head, Becky! I'm the same way. I enjoy doing it, but it's sure a relief when I know it's done. I can't imagine having to do 72 borders!! What were you thinking?!? :rotfl: I'm sure they'll be wonderful, though, and to be honest, I'm looking forward to getting one of them.
Sounds like the Expo was fun. It's just a shame the Disney session was so poorly planned. That would have been the one I looked forward to the most, so I'd have been disappointed, too. Sounds like you picked up some good hints, though. I read your tip about adhering vellum on another thread, and I'm going to try that. I use vellum a lot, and so far, I've just been trying to hide the adhesive behind something. It's nice to know there are other options.
