Hi Joanne!
And a big welcome to the DIS!
Shirley! - Pubs in Hamstead? - you just need to shout!
I'd recommend The Spaniards - Spaniards Road / Hamstead Lane near to Kenwood House.
I did some work in Kenwood House which is well worth a look round - has a nice Tea Room and lots of space for a picnic.

Sorry,
Just thought of another The old Bull & Bush - North End road.
Yes - it's the same one as per the Music Hall song : -
Come, come, come
And make eyes at me
Down at the Old Bull and Bush,
Come, come, drink
Some port wine with me
Down at the Old Bull and Bush,
Hear the little German band,
Ta-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-rah.
Just let me hold your hand, dear.
Do, do come and have a drink or two
Down at the Old Bull and Bush.
