Hi guys,
Just finished my 3 miles so anything I eat today has 0 calories. I made a pig of myself last night.......PC has a chocolate walnut cake that is nothing like it sounds. It consists of very few nuts, but is heavy on the chocolate. If you are a chocolate lover you gotta have this. It's very rich but not overly sweet. We also had the grouper which is new on the menu and tasted just like lobster. The menus are basically trhe same but a few items are different in each category. The previous night we dined at AP and it was not nearly as good. In fact, that's the night I'll probably skip for Palo in October.
The CC gift is a very nice navy blue blanket that shows the new Carribean islands and says something like "2004 Inaugaral Cruise". We have 2 staterooms so we got two!
Lots and lots of free drinks all around. Yesterday was Captain's welcome and we had mai tais and cosmopolitans (not your typical cosmo, but hey, it's free!)
Security was no problem at all. We got there early and just breezed in.
Let's see, movies.......They're showing King Authur several times, but the Village only once (Thursday evening at 11:15) Also, Miracle (with a Qand A with one of the players/coach afterwards).Around the World in 80 Days several times, Hidalgo, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Quenn, Raising Helen, Home on the Range, and perhaps a few more that I can't remember. The in-room movies -and there are lots of them - include Calendar Girls, 50 first dates, and a gazillion others.
Golden Mickeys is a great show and the variety act on the first night practically had me peeing in my pants! We all laughed so hard our stomachs hurt!
Still haven't seen the inside of an elevator. I hate it when I have to go from 3 to 9 (like I will in a few minutes to get my coffee) but I wanna eat whatever I want.
Have a great day,everyone....I'll check back tomorrow (tonight is Palo night)
Thanks for the updates. I can sit and watch people do their laps on deck 4 for hours:bounce:
Get your cameras ready Bette I am parasailing on CC at 11:30a.

Thanks for the info, Jeanne :wave2:
That chocolate cake sounds yummy, and so does the grouper.
I hope we get the blanket too. Although our cruise is free we are repeat cruisers, aren't we:p
Mike,
could you please also persuade Cathy (@GoofyNut) to parasail? I would then bring a SAM :jester: pirate: :teeth: I hope I can get it through security somehow:p

Thank you Goofynut for the logos!! I love them all....if I had to pick just one for the back print I think I would favor logo #2...Be Happy...but they are all great!! Thanx for all the hard work...I guess it's off to Michaels for the iron on paper!!

jeanneg: thanks for the update. Sounds like a great time! Do you know if the Q and A session after "Miracle" movie is something they do on each cruise or is that person just on the current cruise? My DS13 is a HUGE hockey fan and would love this.
Also, DS went to see "the Village" with a friend and the parents this past weekend. He was so spooked when he got home, he wouldn't let us turn the lights out at bedtime. I haven't seen the movie, but sounds quite scary.
Goofynut: got the tshirt pictures. They look great! Now we just have to figure out how we'll get them on the tshirt. DH is the computer person. I think we're getting a printer soon.
I still haven't decided what to do in St. Thomas yet. However, I made a reservation with Lawrence of Antigua in Antigua. It's $25 a person, he takes you on a tour of the island with points of interest for a few hours, then to anywhere you want for the day. My kids want a beach for snorkeling. Does anyone know how long we're docked in Antigua? I remember a post a while back saying they extended the day, but can't remember what times.
Have a great day!

Hi Laura,
We have a private tour scheduled for the St. Thomas day that includes, beach time, shopping, touring, the tram ride, bluebeards castle and more, we have space for a few more if you are interested. It is $ 20.00 pp and lunch is additional.
Bye, Kim

Eric ... If I were to parasail, you'd have some falling objects and they wouldn't be pretty (actually be rather smelly ;) ) cause I'm not the type that would like to be held up in the air by a couple of ropes and a Sail! I'll just stay on the sand and take the pictures.
I'm almost at the point that if our weather doesn't get more summer like, I may just start packing up my shorts and stuff for the cruise now! It's August and we left the baseball game Friday night cause it was to COLD.
Decided to bag the stuff to do at the house on Saturday and we went to the Philadelphia Eagles Training Camp ... cool. Got to see the players and coach for FREE. I'd hate to see the food bill to feed that herd ... geez they are big boys!
I've almost got the template done to make the name tags for everyone ..... One thing I'd like to ask ... If you don't think that you would want one, please PM or E-Mail me. I won't feel bad really, just that last year I ended up throwing away at least 30 tags and it gets expensive with the cost of ink and laminate pages. They have our logo in mini size and your name in a larger print with your DIS handle in small letters below. For those that have not cruised with us before, it's helpful in trying to get to know each other as you walk the decks. Not to mention a free souvenir for those scrap-books! :bounce: So far it's 88 adults and 41 kids.

LOL Cathy :rotfl:
We'd love to have our name tags ::yes:: Especially after a couple of Conk Coolers they might come in handy:drinking1 to remember my own name - This is why I will wear it upside down, so that I can read it better
BTW, Anja will go for the 'Don't Worry'-Mickey on her back and I chose the Goofy. But perhaps we'll have two shirts each - Depending on the price the guys at the printshop are offering.
Tonight we'll have a blast from the past on TV: 'The Bad News Bears' from 1976, starring the adorable W. Matthau and little Tatum O'Neal. I rememebr seeing that one at the cinema with some friends from my school.

We are on the Aug. 21st San Juan cruise. I'm so anxious to hear about your experience. We've been on the Eastern and Western before so wondering what will be different... Please post and let us know - especially about the San Juan port. Where does the ship dock? Walking distance to Old San Juan? How did people enjoy the Rainforest excursion? Do kids navigators follow the regular Eastern schedule?
Any news would be appreciated!!!!! Thanks.

goofynut: thanks for the info on the scrub tops. I'll check them out:)
Bettemom: I'll check with DH about the St. Thomas tour. What beach are you going to that day?
I know that its been discussed quite a while ago but , we are on early dining. Are the cruisetoberfest folks sitting together? I guess it depends on what rotation we get, but just wondering. Do they link the group together?

Laurarn...If you look at the "List" you will see the dinning/seating. It will have a "M' for Main or a "L" for late. The people who have linked thier dinning tables are noted. As far as I can see the only groups linked during "M" seating is TwinAve and myself, but we have changed to "L" as of last week. Check out the other DIS'ers who have "M" dinning and see if anyone wants to link dinning with you. Disney Cruise Crazy, Fridayfun,Jeanniec,Michelemouse,Piglet33,Auntmeme, Cdnmickeylover, Bettemom are all on "M" dinning.
I'm pretty sure there are more people who linked the dinning, but I can't remember if it is on "M" or"L".
I found a place today that will do the MINNIE Pedicure! DD and I are going to have it done the day before we leave for Fl.
Cathy....Put us down for NAME TAGS. We LOVE the ones from previous cruises. Hung from your lanyard, it's a great ice breaker!CM asked about them all during the cruise. I hope you don't wind up throwing a bunch away :(
Maybe you should ask who wants them, then only make them for those who want them??Last year I was so worried I would not have enough lanyards, I went out and bought an additional 2 doz. The I came home with 25 of them!
No feathers on me either. I think I will keep my feet on the sand!I also love to count other people's "deck laps" on deck 4 while resting on a comfy chair!:)
Someone asked about putting the logo on a ball cap. YES, I have seen that done in the past.
Jeanne...thanks for the update. Have a wonderful time!

Laurarn - I'm at work, so can't give you complete details, but I know there are a few of us linked together who are on the Main seating. We were kindly asked if we would like to fill the last couple of seats when we first joined the boards. I am not certain if there is another Main dining group. Viking (Eric) I believe has a dining list.

Mary,
you can be official timer for us: When running on the ship we usually need between 2'00'' and 2'30'' for a lap - depending on the traffic;) So in an hour we do between 25 and 30 laps.
FridayFun,
I started a couple of tries to gather enough info for a re-issue of the Activities List, which also includes the Dining Groups, but so far I only had feedback from Renee. With our departure just a bit more than 4 weeks away, there won't be much time left for it :(

Would love our name tags too Cathy. Still have ours from last year and wore them to a dismeet which was great.
Can also understand about the weather although we are sticking it out wearing shorts. We were at the Renn Festival on Saturday and it started out really warm and then in the middle of the afternoon we probably could have put on winter coats and then it got pleasant later on. It rained for a bit on Sunday although the temperature was ok. It's supposed to rain again today. I feel like I'm going on the cruise to get a bit of summer. :p
A co-worker just got back from two weeks in London and Paris and she said it was hot there. Unbelievably they didn't go to Disneyland Paris.

Fiona,
there are some people who can cope with the real world and don't need Disney :p Poor fellows, aren't they ;)
And it still is unbelievably hot over here: Well above 30°C :sunny: :smooth: , but tomorrow the last leftovers of Hurricane Alex will reach us and bring some rain and lower temps in the mid-twenties. Shorts have become the most common piece of clothing at or office and the water consumption has skyrocketed. We're already Florida-proof now, as the heat went together with high humidity.
Kathy and I would love name tags. Thank you for all the hard work and effort that have been done on the logos and your service to our railroad workers. Take care of my twin, he was all skin and bones the last time I saw him.:grouphug: Mike

Can I leave yet??? Do not want to work this afternoon, probably because my desk is piling up again and my secretary keeps reminding me that she's off next week. I share her and the other lawyer already jokingly told her she can't have next week off as there's too much to do!
Luckily I can type, fax and copy myself so I will cope. The senior partner does none of this and is lost without his secretary. The only thing that is beyond me is the accounting program. Every time I try to go into it something goes wrong so I just don't and no longer even have the program on my computer.
Is it time to cruise yet????
I'll go with the lifesaving rings too although I never would have guessed that. Kept trying to think of what was on deck 4 and could only think of the number of laps that Eric and Anja could do in an hour which turned my mind to mush.
How bad is parasailing? Am terrified of heights but think I might (might) want to try?

THANK YOU!
I got the logos and they are wonderful! Thank you design team and for sending them to me. Now I just have to figure out how to do it.
My sister, Joyce, and myself would like a name tag also. Being a first time Cruisetoberfest cruiser it will be very helpful putting names to faces. I am so bad with remembering names.
Like the sounds of the CC gift. The towels are great, but I have 3 of them, so something different would be nce.
I got both of the Mickey Scrub tops from WalMart. Glad to see that WalMart is carrying them. In the past I had to order them from the internet, but the place I got them from stopped selling Disney scrubs. The other cool thing I got from WalMart is light up flip flops in Dis lime green. I'll be the envy of all the Disers onboard.

I DID IT, I DID IT!!!!
I test printed the logos (again, they are awesome, thank you Cathy). I test printed the mirror image and even that worked.
Jeanniec - when I went to the print menu (control p) I went into preferences and selected mirror image and it worked great. I had to open it in my photo editor program Adobe Photoshop is what came with my laptop. Once I figured out how to access it the rest was just like printing from word.
Cathy: Please add the King family to the name tag list. I'd love to be able to put faces to you wonderful folks, it will also help me remember who I am after a couple of Konk Koolers.
Please let me know if you would like me to bring the bubbles for the sailaway, especially you parents of "little ones".

Jill,
I met one of my cop-friends at the gym yesterday and he told me that he had some patches in his locker, but I didn't want hime to interupt his routine so they're still in his locker ;) But I'll surely meet him again Thursday or Friday. He got lucky and his off the street now. He got transferred to the Burglary Department with lots papershuffling, but in plain clothes and no more shift work. So now he works out at 'human' times like I do and I see him at least three times a week :p

Good to hear that it's not so bad. I just checked it and Bonnie is still heading your way. And Charley is aiming at Key West, Tampa, Orlando and eventually Charleston

Tim thinks working the day shift is the worst thing. He, however, will be doing a stint in investigations soon (he was passed up for Sgt. because he hasn't done the paper shuffle yet!) He just thinks "oh, no! Days!!! Will I be able to do it!?" I would love it if he took days! I work a 7-5 shift, he works 4:15 to 2:30 am...so that tells you how much I see him! We will see...I bet he'll love the break and enjoy having a bit of a normal life!

Hurricane update: The county has closed the schools for tomorrow. Mostly because the storm is supposed to hit around the time the kids would be on the bus stops, trying to get to school. We are ready for whatever nature brings. Just hoping we don't lose power. I hate not having my Internet.:(
I wanted to work tomorrow, but when we went to confirm our patients, most said they may not make it. So the doc just said to reschedule everyone.

Check out the Swan and Dolphin. I've seen prices on the DIS for less than $150 per night. I love it there because we can walk to Epcot (for the wine and food!) and take the boat to MGM. We can walk through Epcot and take the monorail to MK. Yes the Wine and Food Festival will be going on (starts 10/1).

Peter,
Did you guys get the info for it the Eco tour? It is at www.adventureantigua.com Tell them you are with Cruistoberfest, too!
I have NO IDEA of they know if we post from work. We got a long, long email from our Leiutenant who is the computer guru....he said view only, no exchange of info....so I figure I like my paychecks, I will comply! Not everyone has internet access...supervisors and sworn officers, so they keep a pretty tight hold on it, but I guess some people were downloading "weird" stuff.
So, we are on a trial period with a new puppy. 9 week old some sort of mutt, but sooooooooo cute! Orion, the big, clumsy 90 lb shepard (our dog faced boy!) is freaking out, but he's loving it! I just don't know if we are ready to deal with all the new puppy challenges. Plus our cat, Macy, is hardly happy with it! It is a puppy from a sweet, corgi mix that was found by a co-workers neices and nephews (when they were kidnapped by their dad...LOOOONG story), and one of the guys at work, who originally adopted him, had to give him up because his poodle was less than friendly. So, I said I'd take him for the night and see how it works. There is a long list of people behind me who will snatch him up....
Lastly, we go to see Chicago tonite in Denver. (We meaning my mom, sis and friend....Tim said "ummm, no.") And Mary Jo called! So I am hoping to meet with her on Sat, along with DenverVal, another cruiser from the Eastbound next year.

No Mystery Cruise for us or we want our money back - OOPS, nearly forgot that we're cruising for free :jester:
As a German I deeply despise when my plans don't work out
Yesterday I went to a local hiking outfitter and bought two packs of 10 stuffing bags each. We'll prepack everything in those small units for each of our six destinations (Crystal River, Charleston, St Augustine, PCB, Radisson, Cruise). This way we only have to unpack the small units for each destination and can leave the rest in our bags/suitcase.
Tomorrow we'll have our 11th wedding anniversary - a very special one as we deliberately married Friday 13th 1993 and tomorrow it is the second time that our anniversary falls onto a Friday. We'll have Paella and Spanish wines with some friends.
And in 3 hours we'll be under 30 days :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Ave' -- Hope you are all right down there in Florida. On Good Morning America this morning the weather man, Tony Perkins, was standing on the beach at Panama Beach reporting on the storms. After the cruise there's MNSSHP at MK but I'm not sure if it's Saturday night or not. At Epcot is the Food and Wine Festival which we intend are going to as well. We went last year and didn't need dinner that night. It's neat to see all the different topairies (spelling?) as well.

Just got a call from my friend in St. Petersburg (FL). They have been told to evacuate by midnight tonight when the second hurricane comes thru. She and her DH are in the "pink zone". She said this is a category 3 hurricane and they are forecasting 135 mph winds and possible water surge of 14 feet. The hospital down the street from her is being evacuated now along with all nursing homes in the area. No hurricane insurance for my friend -- it is not available. They live in a condo on the top floor. Hope the roof doesn't go. She is thinking of the windows blowing out & lots of water damage. Hope Ave' and family are safe -- not sure where Panama Beach is in relation to Tampa/St. Petersburg.

Jeanne,
Panama City Beach is about 300 miles Northwest of St Pete, so they should only be 'scratched' by Charley. But the outlook for St pete is scary, we're keeping our fingers crossed for your friends and for Alikat99 and her family from Cruisetoberfest 2, and for Jeff & Jenn of course too.

Ave',
we're glad that Bonnie was so weak, but Charley seems to be scary.
14 feet of extra water in the St Pete area would be devastating as all the beach island in front of the mainland are barely 5 - 10 feet above main sea level:eek: We spent a lot of time in Clearwater Beach, St Pete Beach, Treasure Island and Indian Rocks Beach, and none of these islands looks like it could survive a surge that high.

Good to see that one storm hasn't done that much inconvenience.
Earlier this afternoon I was browsing at the webcams for around Panama City Beach at http://www.beachview.com/160beachview.htm and you could see how the surf was up... some look like rain still.
The webcam at Key West http://www.liveduvalstreet.com/ (PG site for the bottom of the screen) shows rain, and across the street in the upper left you can see that hoarding has been put up in the last couple of hours... Looks like they're not taking any chances with Charley.

Hi Folks,
thanks for all the good wishes - especially for the congratulations in German:wave2:
We're off now to our dive-shop to get a logbook for Anja and then to the Paella & Wine-feast:drinking1 :cool1:
We're keeping our fingers crossed that all our Floridian friends and wherever else that monster is heading too stay dry and safe ::yes::

I wish we could all send a hundred :sunny: 's to our Florida branch of the DIS family. I know they have better things to do than check in with us but I reallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly wish them well. Last night we had a lot of rain (again) 4 inches in 4 hours and I sat there just thinking how awful to have to pack up and leave ... just where the heck are that many people supposed to go? Bless them all.

I got one of the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers free from a post on the budget board and put it away for a "just in case". Well, today while I was working from home and on a conference call, Haley decided to color the wall and TV screen with crayon. A RED crayon! I used Glass Plus Wipes to clean the TV screen, which was a pain, but I got it off. My mom reminded me that I had one of the Magic Erasers so I gave that a try. All the crayon came off the wall and didn't take long or a lot of rubbing either.
That said, I am now going to go to Costco and buy one of the big boxes of these since I have a feeling that I will be using these quite a bit until Haley learns that crayons are for coloring books and not walls or TV screens.

Must admit that the Mr. Clean eraser's work just like on the commercials. It's amazing what they do. I got a free sample and then bought a box at Costco it was so good.
Don't have crayons on the walls but do have large hand prints from 18 year old DS who tends to lean against the walls and talk right after he's read the paper and before he's washed his hands. I remember crayons though and wish they'd had the magic erasers then.

Another BEAUTIFUL day here in NW FL! But it is always good for us to get a little wake-up call, it reminds us to get ready for a big storm. I am pleased to say there were no major problems during the storm. Now I'm praying for my fellow Floridians to the south.

Waiting for Mary Jo to call...they were driving to Wyoming today, and we are about 45 minutes from Laramie, so hopefully we'll be able to meet for dinner tonite.
I completely forgot my SIL, BIL and nephew were headed for WDW today on their first ever trip. She works for Frontier Airlines and has no hope of getting on a flight to Orlando today standby (I hate to say "I told you so" but I was telling her she should fly in a day early just in case... I spent my whole life flying standby, there are no guarantees!) They will fly to Atlanta, rent a car and drive to Orlando. I hope all goes well. I heard they were closing the parks at 1:00 today, so at least they are really not missing too much as far as the parks go.
I am also a bit worried about my grandparents who live in Englewood (about an hour from Sarasota.) Both 92, living in a not so sturdy modular trailer home in a retirement community. My mom said she heard evacs were taking place near Sarasota, too, so we are all a bit worried. Hope all in Florida stay safe!

Update on the grandparents.....evidently, they got it pretty bad. Typically, one of my 6 aunts or uncles are there to keep an eye on them, my mom just got back Wed, and no one is due there until next week....but the daughter of one of the neighbors got them set up in my aunts winter home in the same community...much sturdier than the trailer/mod they live in. So they are OK....just gets scary when they get that old and they live in the typical hurricane magnet trailer type park.
Now wondering how SIL is doing....

Hi Gang!Wind and rain picking up quite a bit now.I've been up every couple of hours watching the progress of Charlie as it gets closer to Charleston. We live on James Islnd which is just South of the downtown area. The good news is the strongest winds will be north of us, the bad news is the storm will come ashore at high tide(never a good thing!).But no flooding yet.
I hope we do not lose power. We have 2 very big, very old "Live Oak" Trees in our yard and I have been watching them sway:earseek: But they have been here for about 300 years so I don't think this storm is going to change that. But the area has a lot of trees, and lots of trees, mean possible down power line. I would hate to be without my computer!
Jill, glad your "mini meet" went well!Have you heard from you grandparents or your SIL?
Mary you are in our thoughts and prayers along with the rest of the families in the path of Charlie.
Seven weeks until we cruise.:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Mary -- Hope all goes well and that you don't have any problems. I have been thinking about you and your family as I watch the news and the hurricane map. Please let us know how you are doing (if you have electricity).
My friend in Tampa is back home and thankfully they had no damage at all -- only a little rain. However, another nurse who worked with us in Illinois lives on the water in Punta Gorda which was really hit hard. Can't get any info on her yet.
Saw the Magic Kingdom live on TV this morning. They said there was damage at WDW. I thought the castle looked a little different but it was a live ariel shot and you couldn't really see. A few people walking through the MK -- reminds me of when we were there during 9/11 and then had tropical storm Gabrielle follow. Very deserted MK then also.

'Ariel shot' That's what happens when you've been exposed to Disney-influence for too long :jester: I guess you meant 'aerial shot';) Or has she traded places with Tinkerbelle and is now flying around the castle flapping her fishtail :jester:
All this reminds me of '99: We were among those being 'evicted' from the parks at 3pm and sent back to Dixie Landings -or any other WDW-hotel- for the rest of the day. We then bought some provisions at the hotel's shop (Potatoe chips and Coke), took a shower, then filled the tub to have an emergency water supply, and waited for the storm to come. Thankfully Floyd took a turn to the East and missed WDW. But next day they only had enough castmembers to staff AK and so they opened it around noon for on-site guest exclusively.
Unfortunately Castaway Cay received a full hit and was completely destroyed, so our first cruise (3-day) took us to Key West and Nassau in the wake of Floyd.
Disney gave us a raincheque for the the messed-up day at the parks and after the cruise when we were off-site to do USF and SeaWorld, we used that raincheque to spend a wonderful day at Blizzard Beach.
We just saw a lot of footage from different American TV-stations on the web and are shocked:eek:We hope that the money we'll spend during our 2 1/2 weeks in Floriday will help to repair all the damage and I'm sure we'll take the opportunity to donate some greenback when we're there.
Unfortunately there are already two more storms building up and one of them could follow a similar path as Charley :(

I see on TV that WDW has opened but Animal Kingdom is closed because they are short of CM's to work the parks. Hope all the animals didn't get too scared at AK!
Eric, I also saw about those other storm ... maybe they'll not be so bad .... hope so anyway.
So Haley found the crayons .... opsy. I hear that those erasers are really great. Now you just have to teach her on how to use one!

Hope that everyone is safe and sound after the storms. I think we are supposed to get some rain late tomorrow or Monday as the remanents hit us. Saw pictures on the TV and some of the damage is amazing.
Just back from nephew's birthday party that had a Finding Nemo theme. Cake was really cute (although we had to leave before we could eat it!). DS unexpectedly came home this weekend so had to leave the party early as he wanted to go to a movie with a friend. New nephew was actually awake for a while which was different. He's only sleeping 2-3 hours at night at a time and my brother says that he has 2 more weeks before he sleeps through the night as his older brother and sister did by 6 weeks.
DS got lucky too as his aunt and uncle have agreed to drive him back to base tomorrow. We have the company baseball tickets for tomorrow afternoon so can't do it. It's a three hour drive there and 3 hours back so it's a nice offer. Grandma did it last week and had already said no.
Well must go and do some laundry. Can't wait to cruise and am glad that the storm doesn't seem to have affected the cruise line.
Did notice the two future storms though with one having the same path as Charley -- hopefully both will die down long before they hit land.

Just pulling your leg, Jeanne :teeth:
BTW, I also do my orthographics 'by the look' - In German as well as in English: If it looks funny, it must be wrong ;) I then either have a look at a dictionary or use a synonym (More often the latter :p )
You must excuse me, but before I took over my job as an RP&P-Analyst I used to be a Verifier, checking the work of my fellow compilers and marking all mistakes with a red pen - After so many years it has become kind of a reflex
But rest assured, when talking I make a lot of mistakes and have an accent - Not strong enough to play the typical Nazi in a WWII-flic or the bad guy in an OO7-movie, but suffciently audible to qualify me as Governor of California or worse :jester:
My problem is, that I read and write a lot in English, but have little opportunity to speak. That's one of the reasons why I'm so looking forward to meet our old friends again and get to know so many new ones.

Update on the new storms:
Hurricane Danielle shouldn' be a problem, because she's right in the middle of the Atlantic and will probably head due North without making landfall before Greenland ;)
Tropical Storm Earl is right now on Charley's tracks going through the Caribbean, but it is too early to say something about his probabilities of hitting the American Mainland.

He's headed more or less due West right now, predictions say that he may turn over Cuba more to the North and could end up somewhere between the Lone Star State and Florida's Panhandle.

Hi guys,
Sorry I wasn't able to post. I tried to access the boards 2 different times on Tuesday and could not get anything to open.
Wednesday was a super busy day ( did my workout, spent the entire day with old friends from PR, watched Princess Diaries 2, dinner was Pirates in the Carribean night, caught a quick show, and then watched "The Village" which didn't let out until after 1am). Thursday and Friday it was impossible to get a computer terminal unless you wanted to wait for at least half an hour. I guess word of the storm had gotten out and people were busy making plans. I haven't had a chance to read anything since Monday, so if anyone had any questions I'll catch up and get back to you. I've got lots to tell you and will post all the details later.
I received the emails for the t-shirts but haven't opened them yet.
To the person doing nametags (Goofynut?) Yes, I would LOVE to have one and will gladly reimburse you for any expense. I'm the Jeanne from NC with the extra "ne"! Hubby is simply John.
Arlene: yes, we have been linked for dinner since months and months ago. A word to the wise: try to keep the tablesize managable. We were 2 tables of 8 and asked to be joined into one table of 16.....BAD MOVE! Although our servers were excellent, it is very dificult to simultaneously serve everyone at a table that large. They truly did an amazing job, but it was often 10:30 by the time we left the dining room. No matter how early we arrived, we were always the last ones out. We had APL rotation and it was very, very noisey. We were also way back in the room and so we were very far from all the action and show elements. I'm not sure how large the dining groups are, but anything over 10 is probably not a good idea.
I'll post more later......right now I've got tons of other emails to get through and alot of reading on this thread to catch up on!

Welcome back, Jeanne
I saved our logos on a floppy and will take them to a professional print-shop. I wasn't overly convinced by my iron-ons ;) So this year we prefer to spend a bit more and have it done by the pros.
Mary,
that German we talked about -Graf- is racing a NASCAR-car again today in Watkins Glen.
Today Ferrari gained the Formula1 Constructors World Championship prematurely - with another five races to go. Schumacher won his 12th race of the season - out of 13 :earseek: It's becoming kind of boring already, he could have overtaken everyone except his teammate, but after he had won 40 seconds after half of the race he cut down the speed and just maintained his position - YAWN
We watched the race running on the treadmill - I did 11 miles and Anja about 7, but she spent 15 minutes on the sunbed before joining me. Fortunately there were the Olympics on other channels.
If he wins again in Belgium in two weeks, he will be World Champion with still another four races to go. The sponsors hate him already, because the TV-attendance already went down :(

Ave,
So glad you survived the storm. We drove through Daytona yesterday on the return trip home and the devastation was massive - and that was only what we could see from I-95!
Jill,
DH and I are also on the Eco Tour.......booked it months ago. Peter and Jen, I hope something opens up so you can join us.
What time is everyone parasailing? I was supposed to do it last Friday with my 4 kids, but most of the CC activities had to be cancelled due to high winds. If there's a spot open during your sessions, maybe I can book it. It would just be me....Hubby has no interest in putting his life in jeopardy!
Speaking of CC, in spite of the wind we had a wonderful sunny day there. The breeze kept it very pleasant. As you got close to the bouys, however, the water got very deep and very choppy. I floated out a little too far on my raft and couldn't get back in. The current was so strong I couldn't paddle my way back in.
Everytime I gained a few feet, I'd get tired and the current would pull me right back out. I kept thinking I have 2 kids that are professional lifeguards and I am going to die on Castaway Cay! At any time I could have called for help, but I was too embarassed! Finally I was in shouting range of some fellow DISers who began to realize I was in a little bit of trouble and came to my aid. When I was there a year ago I rememeber being able to stand in the water close to the bouys. This time i wasn't all that close to them and the water was way over my head! It must have something to do with all the storm activity.
Tropical night is now called "Pirates IN the Carribean" The menu is similar to the old one but better. We all got red pirate buffs to wear on our heads. That night we also got a limited edition lithograph as a staterooom gift in honor of the new itineraries. It is very nice and I hope we get one again in October. Alot of people had the Captain sign theirs, but if it's a limited edition, I'm not so sure that's a smart thing to do.
Loved "The Village"! I even saw it twice because my daughter did not want to go alone. It was very scary the first time around, but I didn't cringe once during the second viewing. I loved the plot, but some people thought it was lame. Princess Diaries 2 is cute but not as good as the first one. King Arthur was far too violent for my liking. As my son said. "Gee, Mom could have stayed in her stateroom and seen just as much of the movie" (I had my hands in front of my face the entire time!) Dh and my 2 boys really enjoyed it so it must be a man movie!
The Rainforest Room is awesome.....it was the first time I had ever tried it and I just loved it. The aromatherapy is so relaxing.
I'll post more later....gotta go now.

Welcome back jeanneg and family! It sounds like you had a ball! So glad you got away from CC alive:eek: You were in our thoughts all week. So glad Charlie did not affect your cruise or your trip home.Did you meet a lot of Dis'ers? Any Dis meets?I agree with you about more then 10 at dinner. We had 10 at ours 2 years ago and I made dinner MUCH longer. Last year we had 8 and it was a little better. Of course, we enjoyed a long, relaxing dinner, but the kids didn't!After the 1st night, we asked that they be served first and quickly so they could be on their way. I think we were all happier.
Mark Martin came in 3rd today at Watkins Glen!:bounce: DH is VERY happy!

Just 6 weeks till Eric and Anja get here. And we have a fun time planned with them. Then it's off to the Cape.
Went out to Shell Island yesterday. Saw dolphin, sting ray, and a four foot shark. The water was crystal clear, the weather great, and I got sunburned.
Worked today at job #2. Kind of sad, we lost a resident last week. She was 59 y/o and had been in some sort of home since she was 7 y/o. She was in our facility for 21 years. I've taken care of her for the last year and a half.
And my HCC for the last few months was brutaly murdered by her estranged husband two weeks ago. Long story. But very sad. :(
I'm having nightmares about it. Delayed shock I guess.
Sorry to even mention this, just an upsetting situation.
I've got to get the kids in bed. Monday is almost here.

Ave ... That's really sad. Talking or e-mailing is really better than to just keep it inside. Don't feel bad telling us. Hard to believe your kids are back in school already. They get a break shortly, don't they. Oh to be kids again and have the only worry, school!
Jeanneg ... Sounds like your cruise was fun. You did leave the ship in good shape for us didn't you!!!
Peter ... Was wondering where you were and when we'd see the pictures of your "fur kids". They're cutties. When you find the remnants of "mischief" do they point their paws at each other and say she did it?
I have most of the name tags done ... If I get chance, I'll send out a list of who's tags are done and see who else wants them.
I've heard from PADisneyFan ... Nancy and Norm ... she's been a little under the weather. Pixie Dust to her!

Bettemom: Don't be selfish just because you came up with a great idea! You need to share the magic with all your friends at the other tables so we can all be pirates! We will be given red bandanas and I noticed that all the kids were also given eye patches. Most people wore their tropical outfits that evening, but the navigator actually suggested "Carribean" attire. Maybe we should all arrive in black pants and a red and white striped top....I think it'd be a blast! Just one thing....... where can I find a cheap top like that as it's not something I would ever wear again? Horizontal stripes are not particularly kind to me......
BTW, we stayed at the Ron Jon resort for 2 nights before the cruise and it was awesome. You will definitely love it.....the rooms are so spacious and bright with great decor. We had a one bedroom and it slept 6 comfortably although we could have benefited from at least another half bath (there was only one full bath for the entire unit). I never made it down to the beach which is a short walk or tram ride away. The poolwas very large and the lazy river was great. The water slide looked like lots of fun, but several people complained that it hurt going down so I opted not to try it. Best of all, there were PLENTY of lounge chairs at poolside. I think it's because they have this funny policy about pooltowels that actually has some other benefits: each person is provided one pool towel at check-in. You can trade it in for a clean one as often as you like but you must return the old one first. Because of that, nobody just leaves towels around to save chairs because if you don't have a towel in your possession at the end of your stay they claim they will charge you $15. It's probably just an idle threat but it does make people cautious about their towels. They also have a gymboree type playroom for younger kids, a free movie threatre (we saw "Cheaper by the Dozen" and my sons saw "Hellboy"), free miniature golf and a small convenience store. We loved having the kitchen for breakfast and snacks. Had we stayed at the Radisson we would have needed 2 rooms so this was truly a bargain. With tax it was only about $156/night. As far as I know, they do NOT have a shuttle to the port, but that was not an issue for us and we would definitely stay there again.

The pirate theme sounds good to me! Is this a definite change from the tropical night? I'm not sure that I will be able to find pirate clothes for the two of us, tho. I thought that I read somewhere that it was being tried as an experiment to see what people thought of it -- altho if they have a pirate menu, it sounds like a pretty definite change. And what do pirates eat anyway?

jeanniec: your tropical outfits will be absolutely fine.....that's what everybody else was wearing. They actually gave us a copy of the menu because it was rolled up like a treasure map. I don't have scanning capabilities but I could certainly copy it and fax it to you. It is very similar to the old tropical menu but with some enhancements. There was also a very special towel animal and something else a little different on our beds that evening, but I'm not going to ruin the surprise! Our cabin steward was Ike and he was absolutely AMAZING! The four kids all slept together in a Cat 11 and it was always a disaster area.........he performed magic in getting it back to order every day. On top of it all, he was always very cheerful and friendly to the kids and spent quite a bit of time teaching them how to make the towel animals.

THIRD Ship Rumors Article .. Got it off the General Board
VERY intresting....
A Mouseketrips Mouseke-tip: There's more to meet the eye when the Disney Cruise Line heads west
Disney travel expert Scott Liljenquist offers some hints about what to expect next summer when the "Disney Magic" makes its way out to the Port of Los Angeles.
by Scott Liljenquist
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Most of you know by now that the Disney Cruise Line will, for the first time, be visiting the West Coast next year. As part of the Disneyland's 50th anniversary celebration, the "Disney Magic" will be moved from its home port of Port Canaveral, Florida and will take up residence at the Port of Los Angeles for 12 weeks during the summer of 2005. What you might not know, however, is that the West Coast cruises than are developing into far more of a story than first meets the eye. A little history first. The Disney Cruise Line got its start in 1995 when Disney's contract with the Premier Cruise Line expired. Premier operated its "Big Red Boat" under a 1985 licensing agreement with Disney that allowed Premier to use Disney characters aboard the ship and offer packages which combined their cruises with vacations at Walt Disney World. After seeing the popularity of these cruises, and not being entirely happy with the quality and conditions of Premier's cruises, Disney decided to launch its own cruise line with two nearly identical ships, both built by the Fincantieri Shipyard of Venice, Italy. The "Disney Magic" had its maiden voyage in 1998, and the "Disney Wonder" set sail in 2000.
Disney's original intention was to eventually have a fleet of 10 ships offering cruises all over the world, each featuring the little extras and Disney "magic" that distinguish its theme parks and attractions. In fact, both of the current Disney ships were designed to fit through the Panama Canal so that future cruise itineraries could be accommodated. However, the events of the past few years including September 11, wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and the worldwide economic downturn have at least seriously delayed these ambitious plans. In fact, for a while it looked like Disney might remain at the status quo with its two ships and their Caribbean cruise itineraries.
Enter Matt Ouimet. Named as the president of the Disneyland Resort in October, 2003, Ouimet replaced the departing Cynthia Harriss. One of the oft-rumored reasons for Ms. Harriss' departure from Disneyland was her fantastically underwhelming plans for Disneyland's 50th anniversary celebration. Disney executives, faced with these lackluster plans, wanted to find someone who could really add some excitement to the anniversary celebration. At the same time, they were still looking for a way to expand the cruise line as per their original plans. Mr. Ouimet was carefully groomed and selected to succeed Ms. Harriss and be the next overseer of the California resorts.
Why him? Well, it just so happens that the job Mr. Ouimet left to head west to Disneyland was president of the Disney Cruise Line. With a former cruise line exec now firmly in charge in southern California, what better and easier way could Disney find to inject some excitement into the 50th anniversary and to test the waters for an expanded Disney Cruise Line than to announce a series of cruises originating from Los Angeles during the 2005 celebration? And what better way to design, execute, and coordinate the two events than to have a guy in charge who knows both the cruise and theme park sides of the business?
So, during the press event held on May 5, 2004, Disney officially announced the 2005 West Coast Mexican Riviera cruises. An announcement made by none other than Matt Ouimet himself. An announcement that, as you'll see, only told us part of the story.
So, how has the West Coast experiment worked? On May 5, which was the first day that the West Coast cruises could be booked, Disney Cruise Line's telephone system was swamped. Wait times to speak to a Disney Cruise Line reservationist were well over 3 hours. The two 14-night "repositioning" cruises, which will move the Magic from Port Canaveral to Los Angeles and back were completely booked within 3 days, and have been completely sold and unavailable for months. As of the writing of this article, there is quad-occupancy (4 people in one room) space available on only 2 of the 12 West Coast sailing dates, everything else is completely sold out. The West Coast cruises on average are at about 85% capacity with 9 months still remaining until the sailings even begin. No discounts have or will be offered on any of the West Coast cruises, and staterooms have been selling briskly at the highest price tier since shortly after bookings began. (Disney offers several price "tiers" for staterooms, with prices increasing as the ship fills up).
Which brings us to the part where things start to get really interesting. Even with the massive popularity of these West Coast cruises, one of the sail dates during the summer of 2005 has not been publicized at all. It has not shown up on the cruise line website. It has not been mentioned in any cruise line literature. In fact, the only way to book it up until now has been to call the cruise line and ask for the date specifically. It's almost like Disney has been trying to keep this sailing a secret. On July 17, 2005, there will be a 6-night cruise departing from Los Angeles, following the same route and itinerary of the 7-night cruises with the exception of the deletion of the port of Puerto Vallarta.
(By the way, this 6-night cruise is good news for those of you who still might be interested in a West Coast Disney cruise but have not been able to get a booking due to availability or price. As of now, availability on the 6-night cruise is excellent, and prices have not yet reached the highest tier. If you're looking to participate in the first-ever Disney Cruise Line sailings on the West Coast, this may be your last good opportunity. Anyway…)
Wait a minute, you're saying, why a 6-night cruise? Well, normally the West Coast Cruises will run from Saturday to Saturday. However, on Saturday, July 16th, 2005, the Disney Magic will remain in port for what's being described as a "special press event". The ship will then set sail on Sunday, July 17th after the completion of this event. Nobody will say officially what's going to happen at this special event on July 16th, but the clues are starting to fall in place.
Negotiations to build a third Disney cruise ship have been ongoing for many, many months. Disney originally approached the Fincantieri Shipyard and asked for a third copy of the Disney cruise ship. Fincantieri was only too happy to oblige, but wanted $100 million more for the new ship than the price tag for the "Magic" and "Wonder." Balking at this huge increase in cost, Disney has been quietly shopping the bid to several different shipbuilders over the past year. Now, according to a usually reliable source, there have been several recent trips by cruise line executives back and forth to Italy for meetings with several of these shipbuilders, including Fincantieri Shipyards.
Now let's connect the dots. Matt Ouimet, former president of the Disney Cruise Line, moves to California and becomes president of Disneyland. Disney Cruise Line announces West Coast cruises during Disneyland's 50th anniversary. West Coast cruises are very popular and sell out quickly at full rack rate. One West Coast cruise is not publicized because it's shortened by one day for some kind of "special press event" to be held on its normal sailing date. The "Disney Magic" is held in the port of Los Angeles on a Saturday for this "special press event". No details about the "special press event" are available. Clandestine negotiations occur between Disney and several Italian shipyards.
According to the very best information we have to date, we anticipate that the Disney Cruise Line will announce -- on July 16, 2005, from on board the "Disney Magic" in the port of Los Angeles -- the addition of a third ship to the Disney fleet. This yet-unnamed ship will set sail in 2007, and will operate from the port of Los Angeles during the summer months and join its sister ships for Caribbean cruises in the winter. This additional ship will also allow Disney to add more special cruises to its schedule, such as the wildly popular 10-night Christmas cruise and itineraries to other destinations not currently served by Disney Cruise Line.
Remember that you heard it here first, folks.

I actually asked the Capt. at the Q&A if he could give us any information regarding the 3rd ship and he was very tight lipped about it. His response was similar to this: "Of course if you go to any of the websites like Disboards.com (he didn't know I was a DISer!) and the like, you'll find lots of rumors about a 3rd ship. There was even an article in the Wall St Journal this week concerning some forecasts by M. Eisner and DCL. What I can tell you at this moment is that no contract for a 3rd cruise ship has been signed yet." And that was it.......so go figure......!

Eric -- sent you an email. Hopefully you'll get it ok.

Goofynut: Thanks so much for the name tag!
Question about the T-shirt logos:
Should we enlarge them, and if so, to what size?
Is the front logo centered in front or high on the left side like a typical logo position?
What color are we doing? White or lime green?
Thanks for the input.

...Hi Guys, Here it is the complete itinerary and cruiser list for the private St. Thomas Tour.....
We worked hard to give everyone a bit of what they asked for..
8:00 - 8:30 Pick up by safari jeep at the ship (Disney magic 10/6Godfrey is the owner of the business and he will be at the pier with a sign for our private tour.
8:30-10:00 shopping downtown historic shopping area.
10:00- 12:00 Visit: Scenic Drive to Bluebeards Castle, Drakes Seat, drive to very scenic gorgeous Magens Beach for short visit/ local cocktail or cold drink /swim. Any other sights that the driver has time to take us too we will add on to the tour. There might be a $ 2.00 admitting fee for Magens Beach but I am not totally sure.
12:30-1:30 Lunch @ Duffy’s Luvs Shack in Red Hook (near Sapphire Beach) www.duffysloveshack.com Lunch costs are each persons responsibility, they have a real fun menu posted on the web site, very affordable prices. The restaurant is expecting us and has no problem issuing individual checks; they DO NOT take credit cards).
1:30- 2:30 Quick swim at Sapphire beach, and a (mini tour of the area by safari jeep for non beach people)
2:30 Drop off people at the ship who are tired. Drop off people to take the scenic tramway up. Additional $$. Drop off people to the top of the mountain who want to take the tram down not up. To access the tram there are 3 steep flights of stairs 36 stairs total, I spoke with the tram operators and they do not have an elevator.Drop group of Die-hard shoppers off for last minute retail therapy downtown.
3:45 Pick up last group of shoppers from pre- arranged meetingspot and take back to ship to make 4:30 sailing.
I hope everyone is pleased with the tour itinerary. The cost is $ 20.00 pp to join us, babies 2 and under are N/C. The safari jeep costs a minimum of $ 400.00 for the day plus I think we need to tip the driver. It is of course up to each person to make that decision and decide how much they want to tip. Everyone can give me his or her payments that morning in St. Thomas and I will settle the bill.
Here is a list of the AMAZING, LUCKY AND BLESSED (no tossing your cookies now) cruisers that are confirmed on this tour:
Bette & Kim ( bettemom)
lenny, Renee' & Haley ( piglet33)
Mary Jo, Sam & Sarah ( sarahsmom)
Arlene & Andy (arlo1)
Peter & Jenn ( hygiene99)
Jeanne C & Sam ( jeannec)
Sharon, Ciadra & Adaria ( ciadriamom)
Jeanne G & John ( jeanneg)
Nancy & Norm ( padisneyfan)
Maryellen, Larry & Parker ( auntememe)
If I forgot to add you or I added you and/or you have second thoughts about the best tour you could take (LOL LOL) then PLMK.
I worked hard to give everyone a little of what they asked for, I hope this meets everyone’s expectations.
I asked godfrey to have a case of frozen water bottles for us to have right off. I would be glad to pick up this cost, perhaps someone wants to check on the ship and see if they would freeze a 2nd case of water bottles for us to have, as I am sure it will be very warm

Ave, glad the bruch list is back! Now tell DH to stay away from the computer!
Peter...sorry to hear you will be at Ron Jons....the REALLY COOL people will be at the Radisson;) But...we will all be meeting at Gills on Friday evening! I count about 26 people staying at Ron Jons and Radisson. I am going to give Gills a heads up that we will be meeting there. Maybe they can have an area set aside for us? Has someone already done this? If not I will send them an e-mail this weekend. Are we going to do this early, so we can see the ships sail (5:00ish) or later (7:00ish)????
jeanneg...T-Shirts are white. Logo size and placment are up to you.
Boy OH Boy...I REALLY need this vacation:crazy: I spent half an hour on the phone with a pregnant mom today, who has high blood pressure(won't take her BP meds) diabetes, (won't check her blood sugars) and calls everyday saying how bad she feels (DUH!) She has missed her last 2 appointment and when she calls, and I tell her she needs to come in and be examined..she says OK then dosn't show! Then the next day we start all over again! I will be SO happy when she delivers! I just hope that mom and baby will be OK. This is a very dangerous situation!

We're still trying to get a decent rate on airfare. Amazing how they advertise $79 but they don't add all the taxes & xtra charges and then the dates & times are a joke. We probably will come in on friday so I think we'll look at the radisson or ron jons. The radisson at cape canaveral, right? pics look great online and for $119 which I think is a great price and am waiting for quote from ron jons.

Hi Everyone:
Sorry to say I've been lurking because until recently we werent exactly sure that we were still going to cruise due to circumstances but thankfully that problem has been resolved and we're looking forward to cruising with all you good people.
Ave: please include Andy and me with the 'brunch bunch'.
Goofynut: is it possible to get Andys nametag with the name
'Mr Karaoke'. That would fit him perfectly.
By the way is there a way to make the logos smaller?
Thanks all and cant wait to see everyone...

Hi Arlene, glad to have you back........BTW, has anyone heard from Nancy? I know she wasn't feeling well a little while back. I sent her a PM last week but maybe she didn't get it.
OK, about Grills.......you might want to come up with an alternative plan. We were a group of 16 last week. I called early Thursday to see if we could get a reservation and they said they don't accept them for Friday nights, but I should call about 1/2 hour ahead, tell them we were on our way, and they would try to have something ready for us. Well, John and I had no idea where Grills was so we decided to go early and maybe have a drink. We got there a few minutes before 6 and told them the rest of our party would be there at 6:30. They said the wait would be about 40 minutes which would have been fine. Well, at 7:30 we still hadn't been seated which means we had been waiting over an hour and a half! In all fairness, the place was mobbed, so I'm not surprised. Shortly after 7:30 they put us at a very long narrow table. It was very noisey and you really could only talk to the person seated immediately next to you. In addition, because it was so crowded, you really couldn't get up and stand by where someone else was seated without getting in the way of the wait staff. I have to say the food was excellent and our server was very accommodating regarding split checks, etc., but the situation itself was less than optimal. It was late when we finally got out and the 2 young children in our party were exhausted. I'm not sure if there's any other alternative plan, but I think if I had to do it again, I'd plan a tailgate sort of party and just bring pizza and drinks to the beach! Of course, we won't arrive early enough to do anything with you guys, but I just wanted to let you know what we had to deal with. If your group is even larger it might possibly be worse.

Anybody know if we'll be able to catch "Survivor" on the cruise. Since it's not an ABC telecast, I'm thinking that we probably won't. They did work something out so that we could get Olympic coverage, though.

Jeanneg -- You're not the only worried about missing an episode of Survivor. At least it won't be the first episode so we will have a couple of weeks to get to know them. If I only knew how to program my VCR/DVD player I could record it. In fact, now that I think of it, I will have to ask my DD to tape it for me. Was on a 10 day Celebrity cruise a couple of years ago and missed the finale. That was really bad. Couldn't wait until I could back and find out who won.

Just a thought:
We have a propane mini-tank, floor burner, huge stainless steel cooking pot, portable stove, etc. if you'd rather do a lobster boil or a Beaufort Stew on the beach. Also wouldn't take much more than a couple of minutes to stop by the local supermarket to pick up some picnic stuff for potato salad, buns and stuff either.
All of the equipment shouldn't take too much space in the back of the van. We bring practically the whole house with us anyways... a few more pieces isn't going to make that much of a difference to us.
:)
Jim.

We won't be able to see Survivor on the ship -- at least we couldn't last year. Looks interesting this year. Two of the participants are cancer survivors and one has lost part of his leg.
Apprentice starts in September too.
I will have to convince DS to tape the shows for me while we are gone.

T Shirts are white in color. They can be sleeveless, v-neck or whatever you like best. The size of the logo is also up to you. To enlarge go thru your print options and increase the %age, just the oposite to shrink. Some people have used the "Mickey" on a pocket with the wording above and below, etc, etc, etc, you get the idea .... do what you feel looks best for you.
Basically the logo is used to help you find the members of our gang at the Port during check-in and on the ship during sail-away, not to mention just about everywhere on the ship.
Working on the name-tags tonite for those that need to be added to the pile and those that wish changes. Just let me know if there is something special you want or wish to be added.

For all the Newbies:
Here is the info on Lunch.
Where: Parrot Cay (Seafood Buffet)
When: 10/7 12 noon (day at sea)
Who: Eveyone in the Cruisetoberfest Group (Kids included) And friends we've met along the way.
What: It's just an informal gathering of Disers. No additional cost, no "real" reservations required. My plan is to give the dinning room manager a heads-up with a approx number the day before.
Why: We had a GREAT Brunch at Palo in 2002. We tried to repeat it in 2003 and everything went wrong. We were not happy campers. So we came up with the idea of just invading one of the dinning rooms for lunch.
How: Just e-mail me, Twinave@aol.com, PM me, or reply on this thread, and I will add you to the list. So far we have 38 people.
One more note. This will be one of the last times for the group to
get together. We can plan our day at Castaway Cay, take pictures, and exchange e-mails addresses. So bring your camera!
Later,
Avé
