California Grill - drinks & appetizers??

:p Doe the CG have a bar with seating? If so can you just order drinks and appetizers there? DW and I would like to go our last night at WDW and try to see the MK fireworks.:p

Be warned, the bar is very small and if you aren't there quite early, you might nto be able to get a seat.

Ten, maybe twelve...often taken by either people who couldn't get PS's so are dining at the bar, or those waiting for tables.

We usually like to arrive there early for our PS so we can sit at the bar--the bartenders there are very knowledgeable about wine, and very informative to talk to.

Ducklite is right--it is a very small area. And you might find yourself in a tussle for a seat, in the unlikely event anyone leaves near fireworks time while you are waiting for a seat.
I recall one Saturday nite at CG around fireworks time. IT reminded me of a shopping mall parking lot at XMAS. You know-no parking spaces empty, dozens of cars just cruising, looking for an opening. Suddenly, a car leaves--then a mad rush to get the space!!

Sept on a wed. night it was no problem at all its a very large area and the outdoor deck is pretty big also

you can also order while sitting at the small lounge tables, first come, first served - in fact the last time I ate there, our waiter really wanted us to eat at the lounge table at which we were sitting to have a drink while we were waiting for our table. In fact it was to the point where he was almost aggressive in 'suggesting' it.

I say go for it. It is a very relaxing evening tohang out at the CA Grill and eat some Sushi and drink some wine. Get there early and just enjoy each other and the view. The CA Grill is one of my favorite resturants! :wave2:
