Just a tip, did you know that you can order a wide variety of food types on airlines. We usually order low fat as DH is on a medical regieme, but you can usually order vegetarian, vegan, kosher, muslim, hindu, low fat, low sodium, low calorie and my particular favourite (not that I've tried it!) bland and mushy (for ulcer sufferers!)
Worth trying!!

IMHO its all pretty ropy!(is that ropey?:D ).. we plan to put together a little luxury picnic next time by going to the food counter at Selfridges (Trafford Centre) the night before! Yum!

I reckon I am piggy enough when in Florida so we can forgo too much nice food on the way out! Just makes it all the nicer when we arrive!
Still intrigued by bland and mushy tho', thought it was all like that!

What a great idea Mike, though I seem to take on loads of hand luggage, so not sure if I could fit in a picnic.

Flew this year with Air Atalanta through TCD. The food was just eatable. I ordered 2 childrens meals which i later changed to 1 kids meal & 1 veggie. DD later gave up being a Veggie so I tried to change my order back but was told I was too late. So guess what on the plan we got 2 kids meal with no sign of the unwanted veggie one! youngest DS took one look at his meal & refused to eat it so I had fish shapes , mashed potatoes & peas!!!!

next time I'll not bother ordering & they can have the same as us.

it was ironic that the kids could have kids meals but not a kids price for the flights. I had to pay adult prices for all 3.
