DH has type 2 diabetes that he takes two pills for (glucophage and I don't remember the other one).

He has finally agreed to go on Atkins with me. I looked on the website but can't find what I am looking for.

What does he need to know? I am going to tell him to call the Dr. (Same Dr. okayed Atkins for me - but I am not diabetic).

Is there anything special to worry about?

Will the lack of carbs play whaley with his blood sugar?

Does anyone out there who is Diabetic do Atkins and can help me?

I'm glad I decided to post DH's story this morning. :)

The lack of carbs has been great. It keeps DH's blood sugar very even which is a good thing.

Nativetexan has a lot more experience with this than I do. I think I can speak for her though, that we'd both be glad to help any way we can. Feel free to PM us any time with questions. :)

Low-carb is great for controlling blood sugars... perfect for diabetics.
