Hi folks! I have looked at a few guide books which say that crowds are very low during the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I would like to know if this is indeed true. Has anyone been to Universal during this time frame? What were the crowds actually like. I am planning on going around Dec 10 - 17. What do you feel the crowds will be like during this time? Your information will be very helpful to me. Thank you in advance!!!

Crowds during this time are very low. The two weeks of Christmas and New Year's are packed.

When do those two weeks start exactly?

The two crowded weeks begin the week of Christmas and end around New Year's.

Hi, my son and his girlfriend we to Universal during the first and second week in December of last year. He called and was concerned that Universal was going to shut down because the crowds were so low (he worries about the most unusual things!). He said they felt they had the entire park to themselves. However, DisneyWorld was not that isolated.

My mother and I visited IOA last December (2nd Thursday) and it was absolutely deserted. It was much more crowded at WDW. Longest wait was for the Bilge-Rat Barges (about 10 min.). Only downside is you miss some great themeing in the queues (Dueling Dragons, etc.) while you are zipping straight to the loading area. Don't know about Universal Studios as we didn't make it over there that trip.

Hmmm...should I say it's very busy that time of year...just like it always rains here in Seattle?

We visited USF/IOA the first week of December last year on a Sunday and we did both parks in one day!

We even went on MIB 3 times in a row without waiting.

Spiderman and Hulk were about a 10 minute wait and the longest wait was MT. Clumpet (a 3 second ride down a 10 ft ice slide on a innertube) in Whoville...we passed on it's 30 minute posted wait time!

I have a feeling that the "FOTL" line will be longer than the "normal line" this year when visit again in early December...lol
