I've seen a few websites that offer renting strollers from a towncar/van/limo service and I'm wondering if anyone has ever done this before? I will have an almost 7 year old and a 4 year old daughter who can get very whiny. We are flying from Detroit, and taking a stroller is really something that I don't want to do. I came across this offer from Happy Limo and Murray Hill Transportation (www.transportation2disney.com) and was curious if anyone has tried this before? I'm just so unsure of renting them by day from the parks, and thought this might be a nice alternative through the van company. Any thoughts or suggestions??
Thanx!

We always rent our strollers from A Baby's Best Friend www.abbf.com and have been glad we did. It is delivered to our resort, is with us 24/7, no waiting in lines at the parks for their rentals, and we return it to the luggage room of our resort when we check out. Fantastic!
I've asked this question and have yet to receive a thorough answer. One person mentioned renting, but didn't mention much about it.
I have a reservation with Happy Limo and am hoping someone will be able to report on their strollers. My concern is about how much they will bear in terms of weight as well about the shape they are in.

Your questions about weight etc. were exactly what I want to know too! Have you called Happy and asked them any of these questions? I will soon if I don't find out anything from the wonderful people here on the boards!
At that point, I was interested in finding out about the type, not the weight. So, I didn't explore that question.
Now that this is my busy season, I won't be able to get a call in for a couple of months. (In fact, I deserted the boards despite such nagging questions as this for almost a month already to accomodate my workload).
When I called, I was interested in the age, the make, the style of the strollers, if they had storage areas or not, if they folded, their cost, etc. This stroller topic has many issues, don't you agree?
I don't know when you are traveling. We are going in April, so I have some time after this busy season for some unfinished business. You may need to know sooner. If that is the case, would you mind posting something about the Happy Limo's umbrella strollers (that's the style) for me to locate?
By the way, there is no storage, they have a minority with canopies, but they might be too low for the larger child. They are purchased a Walmart, regularly. You can have them the whole length of stay. They fold. They tend to be either Graco, kidcraft, kolcraft. (I can't remember which two of the three she had mentioned) The woman I spoke with was very nice and has a child of her own. She was most patient and willing to help.
I hope this helps.

We are going over Thanksgiving, so I do need to figure something out soon! I will be happy to post something here after I get back and let you know how it went, with whatever I decide!

That would be great. I'd appreciate it. It's our first trip, so I can use all the feedback and reports I can get to get a good picture in my mind beforehand.
