I've never seen this before and am hoping to see it in a couple of weeks time.
Can anyone tell me where the best viewing point is?
If the best place to view from is from a resort hotel/beach area can anyone go there to watch it or do you have to be a hotel guest.
Thanks

I hear a good place to watch it from is from the Poly beach :) You don't have to stay at the resort to be able to visit it.
One warning though - the EWP is nice, but it's not something I'd go out of my way to watch...it's really something of a minor attraction. However, if you coupled it with say, dinner or drinks at the Poly for the evening or something, then it's more worthwhile doing.

It also visits the beach at Wilderness Lodge, but as Penny said, it's not something I would go out my way for either.

It is well seen from the beach at the Contemporary resort. DH and I enjoyed it a lot. It came by around 10:10pm. I love the ending the best! (Yes, it is a bit of a minor attraction, but we really loved it.)

The Poly pier or the Grand Floridian pier are great places to watch the EWP, and if you choose a night when the fireworks in MK follow, it is a lovely ending to the day!
We specifically went to the Poly knowing that the fireworks would follow and we had some drinks there at the outside bar and then sat on the end of the pier.
When we watched it from the GF, we had had dinner at 1900 Park Fare and then strolled to the pier to see the EWP and MK fireworks.
The EWP in itself only lasts for 10 minutes and whilst fun, you do need to combine your visit with the extras - it isn't worth a special visit just for that.
Are you staying on-site?

We're watched this from the beach at the Polynesian after having dinner at O'Hanas - it starts around 9pm each night.
It's a really nice 10 minutes or so and the kids really enjoy it. :)
