To set in back of log and haven't had any problems hearing songs or what was being said by characters.I really don't know if that makes a difference or not.Our mext trip will try to ride up front and see if there is a difference.:earsboy:  :earsgirl: :sunny:

Which part of the ride do you want to know what they're saying? It's pretty long.
Sign up for Live365 internet radio, and listen to Florida Project Radio- before long you'll hear the entire ride soundtrack, clear as day.
It's pretty interesting listening to it this way, because when you are on the ride you move past certain points before you hear everything in the soundtrack. You never really get to hear the whole thing end-to-end like you do on the radio.

I've been in every possible position on Splash, and I've never had much trouble making out the dialogue. If there's a specific portion you're curious about, make it known and someone will be able to help you out.

I don't think you will hear every bit of the entire sound track during the ride, in other words, what you hear may be different when you ride a second time.
In the various "rooms" of the ride, portions of sound track, sometimes just a few words, repeat over and over. Some portions are instrumental music. Example: Country guitar/banjo plays from one side while Bre'r Frog on the other side goes "UM, um, UM, um" in time with the music.
There is supposedly an off topic remark "Go F.S.U." during the ascent to the big drop (one of the imagineers for the ride was a Florida State U. grad). Other remarks during said ascent refer to "the briar patch" (which the big drop falls into, note the big thorns) for which you have to know either the book "Tales of Uncle Remus" (sp?) or the movie "Song of the South".
I did think that, on at least one occasion when I rode, some of the speakers were malfunctioning so parts of the dialog were missing.
Disney hints:

Bre'r Rabbit (stuck to a large glue mouse trap called the Tar Baby) to Bre'r Fox (holding fork and knife): "Skin me, do anything you want but pleeeeeeeez, don't throw me into that briar patch!"

This is true. I heard it this past summer. It is actually right before you start up the ascent to the drop. A little creature comes down out of the ceiling and says it real fast. If you have no idea what he is saying, you will miss it.
