We will be at MNSSHP the Thursday night before the cruise and have PS at LTT for 5.30pm (I think). I'm really looking forward to it. Halloween isn't celebrated in Australia so it will be a real treat for us. I am planning after early afternoon for my dd who will just have turned 3. But I guess each kid is different and you need to do what will work for your little one.
Less than 3 months now till we leave and I'm getting rather excited. We are having 12 days at WDW before the cruise, then 2 days at Universal at the end. It will probably be our last trip to WDW for a while so I'm making the most of it.
My dd2.5 is the most excited of anyone and we're using meeting Mickey and going to WDW as the key motivator for potty training. She is doing pretty well and I'm sure will be fully trained by Oct. Her fav DVD is the disneyworld planning one and the disneyland singalong. We went to see Beauty and the Beast last weekend and see was very excited to see Mickey. She knows we're going a plane to WDW but whenever she sees a train she says "that's the Mickey Mouse train" :-).
Anyway, gotta go make some cookies to take to playgroup.

Hi again!

Thanks for all of the good wishes for my DH. I thought that part of our life was over. He retired last August after 20 years in the Army and took a nice safe civilian job in a small town in Texas. Unfortunately they found him  and offered him the chance to help run a training range outside of Baghdad. I actually took the phone call and thought really hard about not giving him the message!:) Guess you've figured it out...he got the message. Anyway he is out helping with the soldiers and doing what he loves to do. Just giving me a few more gray hairs! So thanks for the thoughts they all need to know we're thinking of them!

I've had the best time reading all of your posts! Can't wait to meet you all. (If I make it through the plane flight!) :(

Would you put us on the list?

Jay -DH
Julie (or Jules)-Me
Molly-DD 10
Quinton-DS 8

Glad to know there are so many other boys that love gameboy and playstation. Quinton will have a blast!

Any girls Molly's age going?

I'd love to take you up on a sign also. Just let me know what to do. We're moving next week to K.C. so can let you know our new address when we make it! Thanks

Welcome aboard!!!

Please give your Husband our heartfelt thanks also and may God Bless Him and keep him safe.

Hi all

Did any of you see the thread for the cute little cards you can print on word? If not go to main disneycruise forum. Someone was nice enought to post a down load for word so you can print them yourself and make any adjustments you may want.(very cute).

Have a great day

I saw the cards...they are cute.

I can't believe after all this time we might not get to see the countdown timer hit the double digits! :(

But on the upside....Big Brother starts tonight! :Pinkbounc
Iknow, I know....I'm pathetic.

We had a great weekend. We were at a BBQ with several of the people that are going on the cruise and it was alot of fun. Makes me want October to come around even faster. Those people are nuts.

Talk to you all later,

Well, I have to confess that I'm a big goose. I only just realized we are doing the Eastern cruise (thanks to someone's signature I did a check). I have to say I'm most excited. We've already done nearly all the ports for both West and East - we did East in 99 and West in 2002. I preferred the East but when we orginally booked we were going in Jan 2005 and going West. Don't think I realized when we changed out dates we changed our destination. St. Thomas here I come (loved the place).

I've spent the last hour going through and making a list of all the PSs we need for WDW since our 90days starts tomorrow. Makes it that much more exciting when you start doing more detailed planning (though I have already nutted out most days). Now I just have to relook at shore excursions for the East :-).

Denise ~ I watch Big Brother too. If there was anything else on TV I probably wouldn't watch it, but since there isn't ... I don't think I'm going to be able to stand watching that Holly girl. What a space cadet.

Rose,
Sent you a PM the other day.

Hi Doug, Denine, and Rose.(sorry guys, the only ones I know on this thread.

We are cruising tomorrow. Can't wait.

tevagirl
07-07-2004, 08:06 PM
Sandy...I can't stand the Space Cadet either and I think that what they are doing with this brother/sister thing is just plain mean. I feel so bad for that poor cowboy guy. I think the next time I have lunch with Julie Chen I'll have to let her know how I feel about that. ;)

One of our doctors in the department that I work (there's only three) is on vacation which means that we have to have a "substitute" doctor from an agency fill in for him. Now our doctors also work out of two other hospitals and they all have certain days at each hospital. So, if life was fair (and we all know it's not) we should only have to have the agency doctor one or two days this week. However...the other two hospitals refused to give him privileges so we got stuck with him for the whole week. He's about 80 years old and is from Russia. When he eats cheese crackers the crumbs get all over. They're hanging off his mustache, off his eye brows, all over his shirt. It's disgusting. We're hiding the cheese crackers tomorrow. ::yes::

Talk to you all later,

Denise

07-07-2004, 08:42 PM
Oh Denise,
You're so mean...that poor man probably heard wonderful stories of cheese crackers as they existed before the Revolution...probably waited his whole life to eat them...now you're going to hide them ! Can't you tell him that in America we get rid of the crumbs ? His stories must be great, I would love to hear about medical practice under the Communists. I watched the "Great Race" last night as a substitute for "Survivor"...I think I would be really good on either show, my DH says not. My nephew said the same, said if it was a choice between me, my sister or my father they'd have a hard time choosing who to vote off first...I reminded him he wasn't a jewel to live with either. Good thing DCL can't kick me off once I've paid my fare.

tevagirl
07-07-2004, 09:23 PM
Well...I could never do either show. Forget about Survivor...too hot, too many bugs, and I need a real bathroom...don't be showing me no hole in the ground or bush! That ain't gonna happen. And as far as the Amazing Race....I have to take a Xanax just to WATCH the show. Way too stressful. I need that kind of stress after a week with Dr. Igor? I think not.

Peg? Can you help me? :hyper:

Denine,

I hope your house selling and building is going better than ours. We've had our house on the market for nearly a year. By Feb I'd had enough of continually keeping the house neat and tidy (with dogs and 2 kids) so we moved into self-contained accomodation at my parents. On the plus side we can't yet start building our new home since the land isn't ready. It was supposed to ready last Nov/Dec and is still at least a month away. Maybe it will all work out at the same time. Dh and I are really looking forward to our holidays and getting away from it all :-).

Libby

juleswebb

I know what you mean about having your house on the market! We've had ours on the market since the first of April. With two kids and a dog, 1 acre to mow and a pool to maintain I've been having a great summer so far! I love it when they call and say "can we come look at your house in 15 minutes?" So you dash around madly grabbing the kids out of the pool, pushing the dog in his kennel picking up toys and clothes...we're moving next week so at least we won't have to worry anymore. Now we just have to worry about having two houses!

We can't wait for the cruise! I was wondering about excursions. I've been reading the boards and it looks like it's about 50/50 whether to do an excursion or just head out on your own. Any fun ideas for first timers with two kids? My husband sent me a message that he had read something about swimming with the dolphins but I was thinking that was on the western cruise?

Thanks!:sunny:

OK!!! It's getting real now that we are in double digits!!!!!! Welcome aboard to all newbies!!!! We are going to have a great time!!!!!! I know some of us did this earlier, but I was "selected" (thanks to Denine!! Just call me your cruise director! Somehow I got named that on our last disney cruise! LOL!) to make a list of the dis'ers who will be cruising on the Oct 16th cruise. So just to make sure my list is correct so far and for the newbies to be added,

LET'S HAVE A ROLL CALL...................

Room 8018:
DH - Garry
Me - Julie
DD - Makenzie ( 5yrs)
DS - Garry (a.k.a. "The Big Guy" 3yrs)
DD - Brooke (9 mo. at cruise time)

I will get the list going and then if you want it before we cruise, PM me with your email address and I will email it to you) if you want to wait, I will handed them out at the beginning of the cruise.

Hey, did you guys know that they flopped formal and semi-formal nights around? At least that is what was told to me by Dreams Unlimited. Sunday is semi-formal and Thursday is formal. Just in case some of you are requesting certain dinner seating. We like eating formal night in Lumiere's and semi-formal in Animators and Topical night in Parrot Cay. So we requested that dinner rotation (PALPALP in case some of you would also like that rotation).

Are we going to have a sail away party? The cruise we went on before with fellow dis'ers met at the bow of the ship (by the basketball court) for our own sail away party. We met there around 4:30ish and met everyone and had a great time.

We also had a wine party we set up for one of the afternoons ( I believe that it was the first day at sea, sunday). What we did was we all brought our favorite wine from our home state (or favorite wine period) and all ordered a cheese platter from room service and around 1pm we met on deck 7 "secret deck" and had a super time! What does everyone think about doing something like that?

Just some suggestions! I'm game for anything!!!!!

Denine

I hope our house sells soon! We don't want 2 houses! We did that before. Our new house won't be ready until early Sept.

Cruising:

Denine
Jerry
Kaleigh (2 at time of cruise)

I think we should have a sailaway party and wine party like last time.

The wine party sounds great...my DS will want all the razzle dazzle of the main sail away party so we'll have to skip the DIS one. I cannot believe they've changed the order of the formal/semi-formal...now I'm going to have to request that SueEllen change our dining rotation request...she is going to think I am a big pain in the behind !

Hi Princesses!princess:
So, where's the counter? Sign me up for the wine party...we're in Oregon, nice Reislings...you'll be happy I came::yes:: we booked our cruise through Hotwire.com how do you get specific dinner rotations? I want PALPALP, too!! Also, anyone know about the Rainforest reservations? Do you have to go to the spa, or can you get the week pass in August when excursions can be booked? I want a week pass, told DD that's where she can find me for the duration of the cruise! Gotta' go back to work now, lemme' know if we're doing the wine party...I'm there! Anyone else going to MNSSHP on Tuesday? I would have bought tickets for Thursday, but didn't know about you guys all going before we bought ours:rolleyes: Oh well, such a fun thing really doesn't matter the day we LOVE MNSSHP!! We had wine from Oregon on one of our cruises. It was quite good. I will probably bring wine from Amish country. It is really good. Some of our previous cruisers have called it buggy wine because there is a picture of an Amish buggy on the label.
It really doesn't matter what kind of wine to bring for the Big Guy as long as he can drink it off the deck! Right Julie?

I should have some left over duct tape from our drive.

Denine...after all that time in the desert I'm sure our alcohol bill is going to be outrageous! He says they can drink near beer but it's just not the same!pirate:

I may need to borrow that duct tape next week! The movers are coming Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and then we are driving from Texas to K.C.:teeth: Myself, two kids and the dog! Sounds like to much fun to me. Then to top it off...my in-laws will be there when we get there! To much fun!

Does anybody have advice on shore excursions or not? Is it better to do them yourself or let somebody else worry about them? Any excursions that were really great that would work with the 2 kids?

Thanks! Julie

OMG, Julie...are you crazy? You're going to need more than duct tape! The only thing not so bad about that whole sentence is the dog! :) I'll keep you in my prayers.

Little Nicholas is absolutely adorable. And little. Really little. I think my kids were probably that size when they were conceived.

My DH is behind me telling me to "tell all your Disney friends I said hi." I think it was a tad sarcastic. He's jealous because I don't talk to him. I mean, really, what do you talk about after 33 years? By 1984 I ran out of stuff to say so I just started nagging.

I don't know how it happened, but my printer started printing correctly all by itself. I have no idea what the problem was and I hope it doesn't happen again, but for now it looks like I can start getting the door signs made.

I made a new version with Mickey icons in the background. I actually like the plain version better, but if anyone would like this one, let me know.

Geeesh, I get back from a trip and see this board has gone crazy...or crazier. I want everyone to take a deep cleansing breath and blow-out slowly. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I went to a convention this week. No husband, No children, no one asking what I am doing in the bathroom and when I will be out. Can you say heaven? I almost didn't come home but than I remembered the cruise. I think my husband booked it so I would have to come back to the chaos.

A whine party sounds terrific! Let's all bring the children and husbands and see who can whine the loudest at the party. The winners get to be thrown overboard!

We just booked our sailing excursion with Capt Jim in Saint Thomas. My oldest son and I are going to do parasailing on Castaway Key. And, we are thinking about a beach day on St Maarten. I think hubby wants to see some naked people. When I book the excursion, I will ask Disney which beach is good for naked people watching.

I think I am on the cruise list. Thanks so much for putting that list together. Now I can see how many cabins Denise and her family have and which ones to avoid!

Hi Sandy:

Frank and I are parasailing. I bungee jumped at the fair this year and he went up in the cage with me. He wanted to bungee too but did not weigh enough. I am thinking this will give him a little thrill until he is old enough to find it on his own!

If you want to see old, wrinkly, naked people on the beach, go to Orient Beach in St. Maartin. At least that is what I heard.

I believe if more than duct tape was required you were to use vodka or valium.

We are not booking any excursions. We have done a nature hike on St. John. It was really good, but required a lot of walking.

I'd love to try parasailing, but I am concerned it will hurt my back.

It is so nice to see all the posts! ::yes::

The stores here are having all kinds of incredible sales, DD's & I went shopping and got some really cute outfits, and they actually let me pick them out! Reminds me of when they were younger and they LIKED what I picked out....(sniff, teardrop)....then my kitty cat got into a fight with a critter and the critter got the best of her (she's 14) We had to take her to the vets and he had to repair a tendon, she was beat up pretty bad. She will survive, she still has 1 more life to go!

I'm not sure that we will do any excursions my head is already swimming since this is our 1st cruise, maybe we will just hang out & see what happens, but I know I want to get in some SHOPPING!!!

Have a nice weekend everyone, we will be staining our decks. ick.

Ask Denine what happened at our last wine party on the last cruise! We did allow kids to come with mom and dad last time, but most of us put the kiddies into the clubs for that time (except the big guy, he WAS sleeping in his stroller when we got there!)

How does Sunday around 2:30pm sound for the wine party? Does everyone know where the "secret deck" is on deck 7? That is where we had it last time and had the deck all to ourselves! Well, we did chase two sunbathers away, but hey, all is fair in wine and cheese!!!!!!

I've got you Libby! Sorry I forgot to add you to the post I made earlier.

Welcome Dave! I have added you to the list of Dis'ers going on the cruise. What ages are you children? We are adding them to the list.

We can move the wine/whine party to Monday if people wish or change the time for Sunday. If we move it to monday, then those people going to the wine and food carving can show us a thing or two!!

Added my countdown today!! It's getting real!!! We might have my stepdaughter join us, MIGHT!! Right now her mother is being a poo head and doesn't want her to miss school. We are still working on her. My "daughter's" name is Anna Marie (14yrs) and wants to go real bad, but her mother #$%@^@^%#$$#!!!! Let's keep our fingers crossed so she could go. Hi gang!!! Looks like there are some "Princes" on the board now! Is it just me, or is the counter a little GOOFY? All of us here (she and I) are counting that there are 88 days until we leave (October 7, 2004) am I trippin'? Not to sound like a newbie, but we'll be at deck seven on Sunday or Monday - whenever you all decide...if you point out the "secret" spot ::yes:: I don't know if there'll be a trail of lime green and duct tape obvious enough for me to follow! takemeaway
07-14-2004, 06:34 PM
Hey Batchler:

We are staying at Ron Jon's this time. For the same price as a king suite at the Radisson $138, we have access to a "lazy river" pool, big slide area , children's play area, washer and dryer in the room, two-bedroom suite, and free movies. Plus we just wanted try something other than the Radisson.

Last year hubby dropped us off at the port and then took the car back to the hotel. The shuttle is usually crowded and it is better if there is only one person trying to get on and not 4 people with luggage. The shuttle at Ron Jon's is $5 per person.

Although we only had a rent-a-car, we didn't have any security problems leaving the car at the hotel. Also, at the port parking is $10 a day which could be spent on Bloody Mary's and Hurricanes....priorities , ya know!

Hope that helps a little!

I'm a little excited here! :Pinkbounc

A. We made our ressies for Palo (dinner, brunch, and high tea) and the spa and got the days and times we wanted. (Thanks, Leslie!)

B. We booked an Illuminations cruise for the Tuesday night before the cruise.

C. And we are taking a trip to New Orleans next month! We just booked the trip and a "Two plantation/Swamp tour". I'm going to a Swamp! Gonna look me up some gaters! Better be a big boat or I'm not getting in! (Speaking of swamps... we just had a very bad storm here and our back yard is looking a little like one!)

Talk to you all later :wave2: Bye.....Denise

wildernessgirl
07-15-2004, 02:14 AM
Ok Denise, how did you book Palo's and everything else? Did you book the romance package?

The Deck 7 "secret deck" is a fairly good size! We had about around 11 families out there. Most of the kids were at the clubs so it was mostly adults, but we had a few kids there and it wasn't bad at all. We just stacked up the chairs and had the entire deck for the gathering.

We have parked at the port for our first three cruises and hadn't had a problem. We find it easier to park there since we usually stay at Disney the day or two before and we love getting to the port early. We get so excited when we pass the cruiseline buses going the other way!!!!!!:teeth:

My hubby will hopefully post before the cruise. He is boardwalkgarry. He works nights and sleeps days so he can't post as often as he would like. He is a sgt. for our police department. Some of his stories are unbelievable! You never know what goes on in your city after dark!!:earseek:

Well, gonna go! Have a great Thursday!!

Hi Batchler:

Yes we are traveling with two boys, 8 and 5, unless I can lose them in Houston during the layover.

We are doing MNSSHP and spending 2 days at Universal Studios this year since we live 50 minutes from the "real" Disneyland. WE are also doing a character breakfast at Universal with Spiderman and Sponge Bob Squarepants  I keep telling the kids there is no pineapple under the sea or sponge in squarepants but they just don't believe me.

Denise, we made our "romantic night" for Friday night, so you might want to stay out of your room that night. I often start screaming when I see hubby naked.

NOTE TO Hubby: (Honey, I am joking..it was a just a joke. I really love you as much as those cute sandals as Nordstroms...honest I do!!)

Rose: It's a good thing I wasn't drinking or I would have sprayed it all over the monitor!

We will be driving from Cleveland unless we can find a great deal on a flight. We usually stay in Jacksonville and then arrive at the port from there. We haven't been able to drive that far with Kaleigh yet, but that is what we hope to do. (of course there is that duct tape, valium, vodka thing)

Happy Birthday Jill!!!!!!! :Pinkbounc

We will be doing the MNSSHP after the cruise, maybe Sunday. We are going to Epcot's Food & Wine festival after the cruise. Like, we won't get enough food or libations on the cruise!

Lisa62064
07-17-2004, 01:16 PM
HI!

Sandy- I just wanted to make sure I was scheduled to dine in Lumiere's on Formal night, I had originally requested the PLA rotation based on Sunday being Formal night, but then I was told Formal night could fall on any night and at any restaurant, so I specifically requested to be in Lumiere's for Formal night.

I've been told so many different things and read different things here on these boards and my main concern was to be in Lumiere's for Formal night, so I requested just that. I'm not concerned about which rotation I get, just wanted to avoid being in the other restaurants in my gown.

The funny thing is that when I have called Disney I have gotten a different story each time! So to be safe I decided to do it this way..... They pretty much guaranteed me that my request would be met.

You might want to call them and have a comment added to your reservation if you want a specific rotation or Formal night in a certain restaurant, hope this helps...hope you can get a straight answer!

Lisa

The only restaurant I don't want formal night is the tropical one ( I need a cruise now, I can't remember it's name!). It is kind of neat to be in AP for formal night when everything is B&W.

I was just at www.disney.store.go.com and they have some Pooh luggage on sale. One of the items is a duffle bag (they call it a carpet bag) for $14.99. The size is listed, and it looks like it is the same size as a large carry-on.

I ordered a Mickey duffle bag online this morning for the same price. It will be a great piece of luggage for my 3 year old granddaughter. It will hold alot of toys and souveniers. :-)

I definitely agree with this. I have never been in Parrot Cay for formal night so I can't really say I have an opinion, but I know from personal experience Animators Palate is FANTASTIC for formal night. Something about the crisp and shiny black and white -- floors, chairs, etc. make it suit formal attire very well.

Poo Head is still saying NO! She doesn't want her to miss 5 days of school. This is coming from a person who has no college education and doesn't check her daughter's homework. Between my husband and I, we have 4 college degrees and one of mine is a teaching degree! You would think that you would let your daughter go if she was going to be in that kind of company to help with any work she might get that has to be done before she gets back to school. Denise,

I can sure relate to you about spending money (either at the Disney Store or for the cruise). I have found so many things in stores lately that I absoultely NEED FOR THE CRUISE (or so I tell my husband). I bought some items for the cruise several months ago and "put them in a safe place". Now if I could only find them! ;-)

I have bought several items for my granddaughter (like bubbles and a princess wand) and had to hide them so she wouldn't see them now. I have one suitcase that is packed with all of these goodies.

I don't want to wish away the summer (not that we are having a good one weather-wise up here in Maine), but I wish it was October 16th already.

And here I thought I was the only one spending the cash as fast as he can make it....... I love buying stuff online and I am seriously addicted to Zappos (plug for them, YAY)... I have bought alot of stuff on Ebay too, and I got us 4 big beach towels for showers on the cruise at $4.99 a piece + an extra 10% off thanks to these boards!

I'm really not a big shopper (welllll...) and everytime I tell Brian my newest & hottest deal of the day he says.... congratulations! (is it me or do I detect a smalllllllll amount of sarcasm? He always says "whatever you want" so I have been taking him up on it! Someone please stop me!

Everytime the UPS guy brings me a Zappos box (and of course he has to deliver it to work, not my HOUSE) he calls me Imelda....its getting EMBARRASING !!

Hi All,
We are leaving Sunday for a Yellowstone hiking/canoeing trip through Wilderness Inquiry, a travel group known for making the outdoors accessible to all. In our group of 18 we have my autistic DS, a deaf child, and two adult men with physical handicaps. I am stressed, hoping this is not a big disaster. I do not like camping, go because DH and DS love it. We could have taken a short cheapo cruise for what this is costing, and I could at least have silverware and a glass of wine. This all sounded great when I read about it last winter, but now it is here !!! I will get through this, I will think of Oct 16th and my REAS package, the fabulous service and great food, our wine party, and room service. I must be positive...I had the same premonition of disaster last year before our Magic cruise...terrified I'd spent lots of money for a medicore vacation. I was wrong then, could very well be wrong now.

Hi All! Thanks for all the well wishes for me and my aunt. this was my uncle's second wife, but she was still a big part of the family. My first aunt also died at home. Needless to say he doesn't have real good luck with that!

Well, I'm in a little dilemma....... IF and I mean IF I can get poo head to let Anna Marie go on this cruise (she still says no, but I think I MIGHT have cracked her) Anna Marie "technically" couldn't be added to our ressies. We are in a cat 4 which sleep 5 but they count the baby as the 5th person even though she is sleeping in a crib. SOOOOOOOOOOOOO, IF Anna Marie goes, we would have to get 2 cabins and split everyone up. The only problem with that is that we can not get 2 cabins in cat 12, 10, or 9 together. And anything after that gets toooo pricey for two cabins and just try to get 2 cabins close to each other now. So to make a long story short...(I know too late) do I tell Anna Marie to forget it AFTER her mother finally cracked or do I sell Anna Marie to the highest bidder to a family that is going? LOL! I just feel really bad that now she can probably go with her mom's ok and now she has nowhere to go!

Thanks for letting me ramble. I know the answer to the above mentioned dilemma, just need to see it in writing before I tell her no.

Will check back in later! Have a great Sunday!

Welcome to the DISboards, Donna. This is my first cruise, too, and I can hardly wait for it to begin. Can you imagine what seven days of being waited on hand and foot is going to feel like???

I hope you are able to get the count-down clock. I have tried several times and cannot get it. I think my pop-up blocker is keeping me from getting it.

I have a question for any of you who have cruised with three year old kids before. My granddaughter is very tiny, and uses a "potty seat ring" that you put on a toilet seat to keep them from falling in. Are the toilet seats on the ship the size and shape of regular toilet seats? I really don't want to bring a "potty seat ring" with us, but will if it makes her feel better.

Only eighty one days left! I hope the seven days we are on the ship do not go by too quickly!

Tevagirl..did I see on another board that you got an Illuminations Cruise before our trip? We did it last year and it was great!!
Well worth it.. Congratulations!

We did get the Illuminations cruise! :Pinkbounc I wasn't sure if the tips they gave us to get it worked or if it really isn't as hard to get as they say. I'm glad to hear you liked it. We haven't done one before so I'm a little excited about it. I actually have another one booked (my girlfriend did the same thing) so if anyone on this board is interested I won't cancel the reservation. Just let me know. It's for October 12th.

Welcome to Donna and her family! :wave2: My 12yo DGS is going to be on the cruise and there are others on this board with boys that age also. I can't help you with the coundown clock. My DD had to do mine for me.

We just changed our plans today regarding the flight home. Jill, AJ, and the boys have decided they want to stay a few days in WDW after the cruise (since they aren't going down before) and DGS asked us if we could stay and go with them. It probably wont be much longer and he won't care if his old grandparents are along so how could we say no? Besides...I never have to have my arm twisted to go on a vacation! Now we just have to get a place to stay! :teeth:

Talk to you all later, Denise

Let me introduce Julebobo....that would be Julie. We have been friends since the third grade (which was many, many, many, years ago :( ) She is the mastermind of our cruise. She will be on board with her 3 kids, 2 grandbabies, and numerous other relatives and friends. Her DH is Bob and they are two of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet. (Bob also makes great drinks! :drinking: :teeth: )

Talk to you later,

Welcome Aboard Donna! The countdown timer is something I can do, but don't know how to explain. You can find out more if you visit the technical board.

We won't be going to WDW before the cruise, but we are staying for a few days after the cruise.

Julie: When are we doing MNSSHP? I was thinking the Sunday after the cruise?

Hello everyone:

Welcome to the board Julie. If you have known Denise since the 3rd grade, I have one thing to say...."I am really sorry"

Actually, Denise seems like a great person. She has offered to watch my children a couple of nights on the cruise. From the sound of it, she loves children and grandchildren, so many cruisers are using her services.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer. School starts in 3 more weeks...but who is counting. Less than a month and we will be booking excursions!

Heading out of town the next two weekends. My best friend from high school turns 40 on Friday and we got her a stripper. She lives in a very small town so finding a stripper was not an easy task. I called one place and they said,

"The stripper they had went out on a job and never came back!"

Hope everyone is well.

Hi everyone! Welcome to all the newbies!!! I'm working on the "finished list" sooooooooo, if anyone wants to add/delete anything from the stateroom list, just PM me with all the info and you will be added. The list looks really good. I had a suggestion to add what state each group is from. SOooooo, if you want me to add that to your stateroom listing just let me know. I beleive that I know most of the "state" info, but if you don't think that you listed it on your profile, just PM me.

Denine, we are not sure about the MMNSSHP yet. We leave on monday the 25th so we haven't decided which party to attend yet. We arrive late on the 13th so we could go to the party on the 14th with everyone else, but we haven't made any official decision yet. Poo Head is going to give us her "official" decision on whether or not Anna Marie can go with us or not. Did you say that your TA is on vacation this week? Garry and I don't want you guys to have to spend more money just so Anna Marie could go. Why can't DCL have rooms for 6????? I know, money, money, money! Just keeping my fingers crossed!

Well, nothing else going on here. will check back in tomorrow! Have a great day everyone!

Denise is going to watch your kids,,,LOL,,,,she offered,,,,,lol harder. No she is a good person and I would be glad to have her watch my Grandchildren. As a matter of fact I think she is having them for a couple nite too! And how was I suppose to know that Denine was talking to another Julie?

Is anyone else traveling with a 15 yo? We have one girl who is that age and hoping to find more in her age group. Let me know.

I'm telling you all right now....if one person tries to slip a kid (and I don't care if the kid is 1 or 31) into my cabin....I am going to disappear the same way Rose's stripper did!

And another thing, Julie, (as in Julebobo) you would have known there was another Julie if you hadn't been slacking all these months and had been reading this board instead of living that life of leisure you are so used to. Honestly....what do you do all day?

Have to go, my DIL's grandmom died and we have to go to the funeral.

Talk to you all later,

Denise

Welcome Julebobo (Julie).....We have a DD14, Lydia ,who is hoping to find a buddy too!
My girlfriends and I went to see an all male "revue" 1 time and to be quite honest it didn't do anything for me, I must be strange, but I was rather embarrased, I'm embarrased to say...LOL

We have been spending the last few days cleaning out the "dungeon" (our basement) OMYGOSH the stuff we have accumulated in 15 years is unbelieveable!!!! We are going to start remodeling it soon and HOPING to have it done before we leave, (I think I'm dreaming)...we got one of those roll-off containers delivered and I HOPE theres enough room in it (no kidding)......yuk.

Can't wait to see the list of who's who and who's where, and who's from where!!!

Hi All,
We are back a day and a half early from Yellowstone...my DS, who has always LOVED camping, decided Wed at lunch that he wanted a bath and did not want to sleep in a tent. We were all having a great time, and DS even participated in the hikes and canoeing...okay, he rode in the canoe, wouldn't even consider paddling, but still...I panicked, didn't want to leave, so decided to try and get a room in the parks or at least in one of the entryway towns to the park. Got very lucky, explained my situation to one of the hotel managers, and they found us a room at the Old Faithful Inn for Wed night. Beautiful hotel, DH and I were thanking DS for taking his anti-tent stance. We went back to camp early Thurs morning, did the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone hike, and then left the park late in the afternoon. We will be going back, the hikes were incredible, you could go for hours without seeing anyone...last time we were at Yosemite there were crowds on every trail, and it was November !!! Wilderness Inquiry, the group we were camping with, was fabulous. They provided excellent tents and sleeping pads, I was able to sleep through the night, the guides were wonderful, and the food was perfect. I would recommend them to any of you that want a "roughing it" vacation, or who have a special needs family member. DH was particularly happy with the trip...saw tons of wildlife. He insisted on getting within 20 feet of a Bison so he could get a good picture, even though there were flyers all over the park advising that Bison will gore you if you irritate them. Whatever, at least I don't need to worry about that on DCL.

Hi Donna, :wave2:

Hmm, I don't know why the link wouldn't work for you. Try this URL http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4286691109

The 8 1/2 x 11 "Welcome Disney Magic" sign is $5
The green Mickey icon magnets are .75¢ each
Shipping is included in the price.

All the pictures I use for the signs are in that album. If you would like one all you have to do it tell me which picture and what name(s) and state you want on it.

It's a rainy Sunday here. I'm trying to watch the Food network but DH is snoring away on the couch and the dog is on the floor next to him and she's snoring too! I honestly don't know which one is louder. I want to chuck them both across their heads but that's not a good idea so I'll leave them both in lala land and talk to you instead.

CVS pharmacy has umbrella strollers for $9.99. I bought one this morning for DGD for the days we will be in WDW before and after the cruise. She's 3 so she doesn't need anything other than one of those. I also went to Big Lots (love that store!) and bought some Palmolive dish wipes to take along on our trips. They will be good for bottles, sippy cups, etc.

Julie (#2) and I are making Disney journals for our kids who are going on the cruise. We found the pages to print out on another thread and they are really, really cute!

Guess I'll go see if I can get those two to "roll over" and maybe stop some of the snoring. Shouldn't be too difficult for the dog to do!

Sandy, Our door signs arrived today. The post office was very careful to keep them flat, and they are so nice!!! Thank you once again for making them.

I agree with you that the one with the 8 characters is so cute. My son saw the envelope you mailed them in, and stated that he wants the Disney stamps for his daughter.

I agree with Denine that the door signs look fantastic on the fridge door. It is nice to have a reminder that in a few short weeks we will all be receiving the king of treatement we deserve - "princess treatment".

Denine ~ I just read in the Disney Insider newsletter that there will be eight more Disney stamps. Four to be released next year and the last four to come in 2006. Each series of four will have a different theme, but all will celebrate the Art of Disney. I can't wait to see what the next ones will be. I hope they do Finding Nemo.

In the past we have simply taken a taxi to Coki Beach to swim, sun, snorkle, etc. Coki is within walking distance to Coral World.

The last time my kids were 10, 7 & 4. All of them had a great time. It wasn't crowded.

If you do go out on your own, keep an eye on your time. Traffic can get thick in the afternoon as passengers head back to the ships.

Sandy: The only reason I say not to book Paradise Point through DCL is that it is within walking distance and you can do it cheaper on your own. The Bushwacker's are really yummmyyy!!!!

Happy birthday Denise!

We have taken an excursion to St. John. It was an eco hike and was very interesting.

Mostly, we just walk into town and shop plus go to Paradise Point and have a bushwacker. It is also tradition to stop at Wendy's for a frosty. It is also walking distance.

Denine ~ According to DisneyCruise.com and the Paradise Point Tramway site both charge $15 for adults and $7.50 for kids. However, if you can walk to it easily we'll probably do it on our own.

Happy birthday Denine!!

Sandy: Thanks for the email about the signs (It helped remind me to get back on the boards and check our our cruise thread) thanks also for the signs, check is in the mail, really.

Donna: How ironic! Our children our the same ages! I sent you a PM with more details. My dd is an istant messageaholic. I will let her know about more teens on the cruise.

Lisa and Julebobo: It sounds like you both also have DD's that are in around the same age. Our other cruise friends from Minnesota (Mattfisch and boardwalk4me) also have dd's that are similar in age. We will be take over by teen age girls!!!

Julie: I sent you a Pm for the cruise list. Thanks for being the keeper of the list.

Hi Princeses!

Mekayla and I are going to make our 56 day chain today. She had a nasty stomache thingy this morning, so I am skipping work and playing Princess Nurse. princess:
I like the celebrity cruise's commercial where the guy goes on and on about how reacclimating to this world is a challenge, 'cause he was treated so well on his cruise. This is my DD7's first cruise and I keep telling her it will be so nice when I get home (on the DCL) and get to be treated as I should! (Like the Princess I am)::yes:: I think we will have to meet up with you guys at Paradise Point for the Bushwackers:tongue: Sounds like just the thing! I have three Princess costumes for Her Highness, hope that's enough. We're doing the MNSSHP and trick_or_treating at Sea World before the cruise:crazy: I'm gonna be Halloween-ed out before we even get home for Halloween. I think we'll have to do the Halloween cruise some-day. It's my most favorite holiday!!:jester: Mekayla wants to add her own little people here to say hi! :chat: :wave2: so, there ya' are! Well, we survived Hurricane Charley. Actually we were only under tropical storm and tornado warnings. Other than the wind and a few sprinkles this evening, it was a pretty nice day. Sandy, It sounds like you are keeping busy with your sign making. I can understand why ~ they are beautiful and make a nice souvenier.

My DM and DB received mail from DCL yesterday telling them all of the shore excursions that are available. I hope I receive them when I pick up my mail today. It will seem more "real" to me when I start receiving stuff from Disney. Right now, it feels like a dream.

I'm glad that you didn't have any bad weather from the hurricane. I wonder how badly WDW was hit. Looking at the map on tv, it looked like the hurricane went right over the Orlando area.

Gloria

Zandy595
08-14-2004, 09:32 AM
I haven't heard about WDW and the hurricane on the local news yet. Whenever anything happens there they always do a story on it. If I hear something, I'll let you know.

I haven't gotten shore excursion info yet either and I'm a little  . I called my TA and they said they ran out and that I should call DCL. DCL said they have plenty of excursion brochures and always keep the TA's well stocked. I asked if they could sent me one and they said no, it was the TA's responsibility. If I didn't know (from being on DCL previously and the DIS) that I could book my excursions 60 days out I'd probably miss out on something I really wanted to do.

Hello,
I have been reading the posts for a couple of days while waiting to be able to write my own. This seems to be such a nice group of people, and I wanted to join. We are sailing on the 10/16 cruise. It will be me and my husband, daughters aged 3 & 7, and my parents. We have adjoining category 9 staterooms.
We went on the Western Caribbean in May of 2002, and I couldn't wait to do the cruise again.
We really enjoy the Disney experience, and are actually going to WDW this September, and then returning to FL for the cruise in October.
Looking forward to being part of this forum,

We are getting excited about the cruise. We are booking excursions this week. I can't believe we are at the 60 day mark. I have to go find a formal dress but other than that we are just about ready to cruise.

Hi Everyone,

We made our final payment months ago - in May I think. The Aussie dollar was performing well so we thought we'd make the most of it in case it went back down.
Now we are trying to decide on our shore excursions. At this stage we are thinking of the 2 Flags island tour in St. Martin, then the Golden Eagle Catamaran in the afternoon; and the St John Island Tour in St. Thomas. We were thinking about the Rhino riders but since both hubby and I are overweight I wasn't sure how we'd go.

Hello,
I called Disney and they stated we could begin booking shore trips tomorrow the 17th at 8 AM. Does anyone know how easy it is to get the Paradise Point Tramway and the difference in price?
Thank you,
Kathy

Kathy ~ Thanks for the time info. According to the Paradise Point Tramway web site (http://www.paradisepointtramway.com/) it's $15 for adults, $7.50 for kids 6-12 and Free under 5. That is the same as DCL.

Kathy: Paradise Point is a short walk across the strret from the pier.

We won't be booking any excursions. We will be shopping in St. Martin. I can't wait.

What I am looking forward to is the spa. I love a facial and I am going to try the reflexology. I love the Rainforest.

Happy belated birthday, Frank!
Welcome to the boards, Kathy!

We just got back from New Orleans last night. I really enjoyed the tours we took. Saw lots of alligators and took an airboat ride which was alot of fun. Can't talk about our room but it was nice and had windows. (Sorry, Julebobo! :teeth: )

We aren't booking any excursions. My son, grandson, and SIL are doing the banana boat thing and I think we will do Paradise Point on our own.

It's getting close!

Hey, if anyone's interested we could all post what excursions and times we're doing to see if any of us are doing the same one. DH is going off with his family, so DS and I will be all alone on our excursions. :(

We're doing:
St. Maarten - See & Sea Island Tour 8:15am
St. Thomas - Coral World 8am
When we get back from Coral World we're going to do Paradise Point Tramway, on our own.

Denine

Paradise Point Tramway (http://www.paradisepointtramway.com/) is the place to get the Bushwacker.
It looks and tastes like a milkshake with its whipped cream and nutmeg topping but its a creamy blend of 5 liqueurs.

Sandy, Check's in the Mail...Girlfriend! :flower3:

So, Here's the sitch...Mekayla and I wanna do Trunk Bay and Paradise Point...and  CoralWorld. Denise, and those of you who'd know...can it be done in our 7-8 short hours? We're gonna' get a cab to the ferry to St. John's, then a cab to Trunk Bay...then come back and do the Coki Beach/Coral World thing...then get Bushwacked on the way to the ship...with an end of the day trip up to Paradise Point. Amazing that we wanna' do so much on St. Thomas, and I can't find anything other than the butterfly farm that looks fun at St. Martin.... So, can it be done? Lemme' know. Also, booked the all day snorkel gear rental for she & me :hyper2: at Castaway Cay, but with the trail snorkel thingy at Trunk Bay and the snorkeling at Castaway Cay...would it be cheaper (i.e. smarter) to get gear here in Oregon or in Coco Beach and bring our own gear to save some $$$$'s? Hmmm... all this planning is making me

Today is the 1 year mark for the Panama Canal cruise!

Having never done any of the listed excursions except Paradise Point, I don't know if they can all be done in 7-8 hours.

St. Maarten isn't for sightseeing, it is for SHOPPING! ::yes::

I only had to work a half day today. We are having new equipment installed so they have been closing the unit at twelve on the last three fridays. I'm liking these fridays!

Geez, Denine, how do you know what to be the most excited about? New house? The cruise with all of us wonderful people? Or the Panama Canal cruise? Are you even walking on the ground?

Jill called me last night to inform me that she's is going to put my grandson Andrew in a basket and leave him on the steps of the church down the street. She thought she heard that that's legal now. She said she'd drop him off at our police station but her BIL is an officer and would recognize him. I've said it before....it's a good thing he is so darn cute. I think she needs a cruise.

I don't know anything about the Eastern ports. I've only been on one cruise and it was the Western so I don't know the answers either. I do know, however, that I want to get Bushwacked. :teeth:

Talk to you later,

Hi everyone! Just checking in. I believe that the sodas are free at the soda station on deck 9 and in the restuarants. You still have to pay for soda from the bars and room service.

Nothing new here. Getting dd 5yrs ready for kindergarten that starts Thursday. My ds 3yrs starts preschool in sept. So once that's over I will be able to focus more on the cruise!

I have just read the saddest news on the cruise boards. Emmasgrammy's husband has posted that there was a fire at Emma's house and Emma and her Mommy have died due to smoke inhalation. Even though I do not know them my heart is breaking for them. Please keep them in your prayers.

Denine...do you want me to send you a basket? How much does Kaleigh weigh?

Sandy...the signs and magnets came today and what a wonderful job you did! All we need now is the right door to put them on! Once again, thanks so much.

My DGD, Makayla, has a nasty stomach virus. Poor little thing is so sick.

My DH had to put a new dryer vent hose on our dryer today. Apparently it didn't go well. I hear there were more curse words flying around than there were birds. (And we have alot of birds!)
I'm sure the poor dog hid under the bed all day. All DH has to do is pick up a tool (doesn't matter, any tool) and there she goes under the bed. Actually, it's just her head that's under there. The rest of her doesn't fit any more but she is blissfully unaware of that.

Denine....Still saying those prayers for Emmasgrammy and family. I can only imagine the anguish they are going through. I hope by the time your August cruise comes around time will have at least numbed the pain a little for them.

Hi Denine,
We too are booked for the Aug repo with EG and her DH...that whole situation is so terrible...there is nothing to say.

To all,
I've booked our hotel, Quality Inn Suites at Cocoa Beach for the night of the 15th, and reserved scuba excursions for DH in St. Martin and St. Thomas. I want to do the banana boat at CC but don't think I need to reserve that in advance. Other than that will pretty much do things on our own. Am stressed now about doing one of the beaches in St. Thomas and then hitting the tram in time for the bird show which I am convinced DS will love. I guess if we eat at the beach or take room service sandwiches we can make it.

tevagirl

What's the bird show?

wide awake
08-23-2004, 09:19 PM
Hi Denise,
Some type of tropical bird show that happens at 10:30 and 1:30...DS loves birds...I need to take him to Disneyland so he can see the Tiki Room show...if that is even on anymore. But the times at St. Thomas...no way to do the 10:30 and then the beach from what I've heard of the traffic...besides even I don't want a Bushwacker at 9:30 am...but if I REALLY had no choice !!! I need to figure out a beach...I was going to do Coral World and the adjoining beach, but my sister was on St. Thomas earlier this month and they LOVED Megan's Bay. We have less than 8 weeks, I cannot wait !!!

You want might want to mention to your hubby that my hubby uses duct tape to fix everything...hence no tools needed. Our garbage disposal was leaking...duct tape. The cabinet in the kitchen was falling off....duct tape. I am thinking a hose to the dryer...duct tape. There truly are 1001 uses.

Tevagirl, Are you sure you heard your DH right? He probably was saying you are a "Disney princess". :-)

DH and I are doing the "Under 2 Flags" tour on St. Martin in the morning and the "St. John Island Tour" in the morning on St. John.

I hope to spend the afternoon at Paradise Point and hope to be there in time to catch the 1:30 bird show.

I read on another site that there is a couples spa treatment on the Magic that lasts about 45 to 50 minutes, and I think the price was $84 per couple. I can't remember the name of it, but I think it started with an "S". Does anyone know what the treatment is called? I think it uses mud in the spa treatment, but I am not sure. Anyway, everyone who gave a review of it said it was something that all couples should do if they had the chance. I can't see getting excited about being covered from head to toes in mud, but I'll give it a shot.

]I bookmarked the site, and then the computer lost the bookmark. I wish I double-checked to make sure I had the bookmark before I left the site. :-(

I think you are talking about what used to be called the Surial Bath ? Lots of info on Barb's site...they call it something else now, starts with an "R". Basically you and your mate have an hour to spread colored muds and such over each other...supposed to be lots of fun according to Barb.

Wideawake, Colored mud? That sounds interesting! I am looking forward to an hour with hubby and leaving the rest of the family to entertain themselves.

Sandy, I will be looking for you and your family on the cruise. If you get to Paradise Point for me, save a Bushwacker for me. I don't drink much, but will try it since the website made it sound good.

Tevagirl, Hope you are okay after your choking spell. Its funny how often we wives have those choking spells :-)

I can relate, as I have been married for 30 years now. I will be glad when I can finally get him trained to act the way I want him to. . . . for example, I heard water dripping the other day. I asked if he heard it, and he said "yes". I asked if he thought he should see what was leaking, and he said he would check it "later". I started checking, and saw the wet spot on the ceiling where water was leaking from the upstairs bathroom. He did finally go upstairs and fix the leak, but I had to beg him to go fix it. In an ideal (pretend) world, he would have found the cause of the dripping, fixed the leak, and then offered to take me out to dinner! Oh, well, I can dream . . . .

Gloria...you gotta love 'em don't you? Yours sounds like mine. Maybe after 30 years they all turn into one another. When we moved into our house in 1971 I bought a written out house number for the front of the house. It's still not up. About 10 years ago I asked him when he was going to put it up. He said "These things take time." Time? How about DECADES! Geez. So, we know he's not handy and he hates to do things around the house. Can you guess what his favorite store is? Home Depot. He can walk around that store for hours looking at all the cool new tools they have out. I don't get it. He doesn't like to use the tools so why does he like looking at them?

Here's an idea ... The DISshop has these buttons. http://www.disshop.com/images/products/disstuff/button1.jpg
They are $1.25 each and are made by mentally and physically disabled kids at the Intermediate Unit at Haverford High School in PA. If one person ordered the pins for all the DISers here who would like one, we could split the shipping cost. I have a little too much on my plate, with the door signs, to take that on too. (I've made 24 signs and 24 DIS magnets and still have 11 more signs to make.)

OR... Denise could start up her own little business making and selling pins to all of us. :teeth:

Hi everyone!

WOW have we been busy! I haven't checked in for soooooo long! well I'm back and things are kinda quieting down here (for the moment)...... our basement remodeling project has been quite an adventure, I haven't had much time to think about the cruise. The walls and floor are done, the electric work is done, the back board for the paneling is done, and now all he has to do is put the paneling up, make an appointment for the carpet people to come and the pellet stove is going in on 9/8. Im so dam tired of working on this project. I cannot wait until its done!!!!!!! Back to school is next Monday and I am so glad, kids are getting under my skin. Brian has been home for the last 2 weeks, GO BACK TO WORK!!! I miss my alone time! He says he's going back this Monday, he will be done with the paneling then.

Sounds like everyone is getting excited about the cruise, Im gonna try to shift into gear here real soon! We went school shopping yesterday and Lydia was whining that I bought more for me for the cruise!! Oh well, get over it girl. ::yes::

Hi All,
Just checking in, wishing we were leaving tomorrow instead of 7 weeks from tomorrow !!! Am irritated at most of my families (work related), and many of my coworkers...and it is the 9th day of school ! I'll be happy when someone on this thread gets their docs...I'm thinking about a month ? I've also been eating like a pig for the past week...that has to stop or my dress for formal night won't fit. I was 2 pounds above my good weight, now I'm more like 5...Ick !! I've been reassuring my mother that her clothes are great, she'll be perfectly dressed...then I said I intended on wearing a bathing suit, cover-up, and flip-flops the first day...I sensed she thought that was weird. Any thoughts ?

On a more somber note...I'm worried about Sophia...I keep thinking they'd have posted good news...not that the family doesn't have more important things to do, but since they posted about the fire right away...

Hello Everybody:

I've been too busy to think about the cruise also, but I cant get it off of my mind. I havent posted for awhile but I hope you guys didnt forget me.........Since I've been back to work, I have NO time at all. I leave one job..........and walk right into another, but it's OK.........He's sooooo cute..lol......(lucky for him).......Anyway, cant wait but am a little apprehensive about the plane ride with the little one. He doesnt like to be told what to do. My father already said (like 100 times) we are not dining with them, that they switched there times to the late dinner. I dont get it?? Is it because I have dinner over there 4 times a week and Andrew yells the whole time? He's only expressing himself! I hope there isnt any rules about "bad babies" because if there is, I'll be in big trouble!! See you all soon ::yes:: ..........Jill

takemeaway
08-26-2004, 10:42 PM
Jill: You know, Andrew probably just takes after his grandparents. Sometimes the children or grandchildren that irritate you the most are the ones that are similiar to your own personality. (thinks to herself, DR Phil has nothing on me.)

I wouldn't worry about Andrew screaming at dinner. The dining rooms are usually so loud with screaming children and husbands that no one really pays attention.

Wideawake: Pools are empty the first day of the cruise. I do not think wearing your bathing suit is weird at all. No bathing suit would cause quite a commotion though!

Sounds like everyone is in need of a vacation. We got our excursion plans in the mail but no docs yet. My optimistic DH is hoping for an upgrade. He thinks he is gonna go from a category 6 to the Walt Disney Suite:rolleyes: . Poor man is soooo delusional. Perhaps that's why he married me...I didn't really ask.

I, too, am anxiously running to the mailbox everyday to see if my docs have arrived. Sorry to say, nothing yet!

Tevagirl.....Thanks for the welcome and the nice bday wishes.

I think I can, I think I can, docs in the mail, docs in the mail.....

Rose ~ Maybe something went over my head  (nothing new there) but, I know the pools are open from the moment you step on the ship. DS is planning on getting in the Mickey pool right after lunch. The only one that might not be open is the Goofy pool since they cover it for the Sail Away party.

I think a lot of people wear there bathing suits under a nice pair of shorts and a top since they take a family picture when you board.

My TA said we shouldn't expect our docs until 2 or 3 weeks before the cruise. I think if you book through DCL you might see them sooner though.

Patty ~ Glad you made it over here to meet the rest of the group. Some of them are a little crazy.

Sandy, if you read my post again, it says there is nothing weird about wearing a bathing suit the first day of the cruise. The pools are very empty. All the pools are open. We went last year.

I did say that no bathing suit would cause a commotion implying that being naked would be rather different.

Your TA is right, docs don't usually come until 2-3 weeks before the cruise. The tradition is the last person to receive their documents has to buy everyone else a round of drinks. Okay, okay, so I made that tradition up!

;)

Rose ~ Duh, I feel stupid now. When you said the pools were empty, I thought you meant there was no water in them. Wasn't thinking that you meant there were no people in them. I did get the naked joke though. :teeth:

What happens if you're the last one to get your docs? ;)

Sandy, if I was the last person to get my docs, I would LIE and say they came 6 weeks ago!

:p
