Liberty Tree Tavern New Characters...

Has anyone been to the Liberty Tree Tavern since the new characters have begun? How was the interaction?

Are you referring to Donald & Daisy Duck?

I have read on many different boards that Donald & Daisy are not always there. When they are busy they are substituted with mice.

That is one of the reasons I cancelled my PS. I was looking forward to Donald & Daisy and didnt want to be disappointed.

Wha-a-a-t??? I thought Donald would be like the star character! My ds is a big Mickey and Donald fan, so I got excited when I read Donald and Daisy would be at LTT. Hmm, don't know if I'd pay the money for the more generic mice characters!

We are SO looking forward to Donald and Daisy!!!
It will be totally disappointing if they are not there when we go for our PS before the MNSSHP.

We were there 9/7; the characters that night were Minnie, Chip & Dale, Pluto and Miko (Meeko?). They were great.

I am or was also looking forward to Donald and daisy for a MNSSHP dinner. The mice they are referring to are from Cinderella. Sorry, I'm blanking on the names, but if your children like Cindy, they will know the mice. My DS(9) no longer appreciates the more "girlie" Disney movies.

We were there on September 14th and had Minnie, Pluto, Miko and Dale. I was disappointed as well.

Their names are Suzy and Perla and, yes, they do appear at Liberty Tree sometimes. Characters at the meal seem to change pretty much daily so you're never sure who you will get. I know in the past months, I've heard reports of Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Donald, Daisy, Meeko, Chip, Dale, Max, Suzy, and Perla are the characters that are likley to see. Which ones you actually will see at the meal out of the group, however, really depends on who is available for the meal they day you are there.

We also saw Minnie, Pluto, Chip, Dale and Meeko when we were there around August 20th. We saw Suzy and Perla at the GF's 1900 Park Faire along with Cinderalla, Prince Charming and the Fairy Godmother.

The interaction with the characters at LTT was good but not unusally great. They were able to make the rounds a couple of times since the restaurant is small. I found the character experience much better than at the Crystal Palace, primarily because at CP it took 1 1/2 hours to have the 4 characters make it to our table. That was after having to wait over 1/2 hour for our PS seating.

I don't think Donald is at Chef Mickeys and I never heard about Max being there.

When we were at Chef Mickey's last Jan. for dinner, Donald WAS there...no sign of Max, though.
I wonder if you called the day of your PS, if Liberty Tree Tavern could confirm who the characters would be that night? (Sorry for the poor grammar---I'm up too late!)

We also saw Donald at Chef Mickey's, along with Mickey, CHEF Mickey ( two different costumes and signatures), Goofy, Chip and Dale.
I booked LTT with the hopes of seeing Donald and Daisie (never got her autograph or picture), I also have PS for Garden Grill so don't need Chip and Dale, or Pluto. BTW, who is Max?

Characters at all character meals are subject to change. Donald and Daisy, however, are very busy ducks and were not consulted before their names were leaked as possible attendees of the Liberty Tree Tavern meal, which is listed as "Featuring Minnie Mouse and Friends"
If you want to eat with Donald, your only guarantee is Donald's Breakfast-osaurus at DAK, which is listed as "Featuring Donald Duck and Friends."

Donald is always at chef Mickey's He stays out of the table area towards the kids sundae buffett. the last 6 times we were there he was in the exact same spot. As for LTT.... I too would be dissapointed in the mice. My boys would have no clue who they were at all. Meeko would be recieved well though. They love him! Well we go december 9th LTT for the first time. Oh, I hope its not the mice!

Thanks Steve for clearing up that it was just a "rumor" about Donald coming to LTT.
I heard it still listed as "Minnie and Friends" but that the "Friends" part would include Donald and Daisy.
It was the possibility of seeing Daisy that excited us!!

We will still be very happy with the characters they had in May..........Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Chip and Dale.

I would however be upset if they replaced Goofy and/or Pluto and added "generic mice"!!!!!!:eek: :eek:

The appearance of Daisy & Donald were announced on several boards including www.wdwig.com. I consider that a pretty reputable source.

The MICE! Suzy and Perla aren't "generic" but even though Cinderella is my favorite......hence my name "cindyfan"..........We really look forward to seeing Goofy and Chip and Dale!!!

I do remember now.......that when I made the PS, the CM mentioned it might be Donald and Daisy!!! He said it is "Minnie and Friends" but that D & D could be there, especially since it was before MNSSHP. And they should be "in costumes".

If Donald is your favorite and you want to make absolutely sure that you see him, then you need to go to Donald's Breakfastosaurus at the Animal Kingdom. He will MOST DEFINITELY be there... so no disappointments!

Many of the characters rotate through character meals that don't have specific themes, such as 1900 Park Faire breakfast and LTT... so it is always luck of the draw as to who you will see. Of course, it makes it quite exciting and worth visiting more than once to see that variety of characters. This, of course, has to do with the availability of characters on certain days.

We were there on August 22nd and we saw Minnie, Meeko, Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale. The character interaction was fantastice but we went on an e-night at around 6:30 so the park was "officially" closed and there weren't too many people around. The characters spent tons of time at our table and we really enjoyed it. My DS (4) even was teaching Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and Meeko how to golf.....very hilarious and terrific video footage from our trip! We have always gone to the LTT when we visit WDW and have never been disappointed!

Donald and Daisy are still a possibility, but they are very rare @ LTT. Before it was clear as to how rare, many people announced that they would be regular, which was a premature and inaccurate announcement. No matter how many message boards you see it on, or how reputable said boards are, there are always mis-statements.

That is why I made my LTT ressies for MNSSHP. I love Donald and wanted to see Daisy. I have never saw her in the parks before.

Guess I will be canceling and going to Donald's breakfast instead. Thanks for the heads up everyone.
