Great Tracey, I hope you have enough energy to dance after all that cleaning. Did you get an upgrade? That's the least they could do for making you wait so long::yes::
We are still waiting but I think that's because we booked on points and not cash. I guess as long as they get here before we leave that's all that matters.

Lol Alice - yeah, found plenty of energy to do the doc dance, that is after the shock of getting them 4 1/2 weeks out wore off!!!!
No upgrade..:( but thats okay! Just makes it seem that much more real!! Fingers crossed that you'll get yours soon too!
Jason, FWIW, I actually got mine via DHL/Airborne; They were sent from my TA (cruises.com).
Travis - nice to "see" you again!!
Heidi - you're a trip! and so easy going!! I must admit, I can't imagine being okay with 20+ people hanging in my stateroom!! lol...
Clean-cut Jason- cool about the new T! and the haircut! I got Logan's haircut the other night and he wanted SPIKES!! But, I must admit, it looks ADORABLE and makes him look like hes 7 or 8.... :p
Linda - I like your way of thinking... and like Heidi said, you'll probably have company.. I can't imagine anything more relaxing than lounging in a pool chair with a good book and the drink of the day!!
Happy hump day all!

Alice..fingers crossed you get your docs soon! Although now that I have mine I really wonder what the big freakin deal was in the first place (I guess NO pms this week! LOL)
Tracey--Sorry you didnt get upgrade! My worst fear was they WOULD upgrade me this time because I didnt want to be..thankfully that isn't the case!!! LOL Usually I am the big prover of Murphy's Law! I think our's came UPS but who knows...I wasn't home when they came! Thankfully it wasn't raining this time! When we got our docs last time it was pouring rain and they got soaking wet and I had to put them on the heat vent to dry them out...then when everyone looked at the Docs on the trip they were like WHAT THE **** did you do to these! LOL It's funny you would say I'm easy going because I'm usually not a very easy going take it how it comes kind of a person (unless I'm under the care of a dentist with laughing gas and percocet OR the alcoholic influence of Gin and Tonic!) LOL But I wouldn't care because chances are after that 7 days I wont see any of you again!! ROFLMAO..JUST KIDDING JUST KIDDING!!!!!! Now if it was my house you were coming to see...THEN we'd have a HUGE problem!! No one gets in my door without and invitation and at least 6 weeks notice to find and kill all the dust bunnies and germ infested goo!
Well...it's time to go clean my house! Went shopping again today..got 2 more pair of capri's for me, some sandals for Tanner *hopefully they will make him tall enough to go on Rockin' Rollercoaster* and of course the weekly trip to the hundred dollar store also known as Costco!! Thankfully though we aren't driving to Florida with the price it cost me to fill up my Tahoe today! LOL
Bye all and hope you had a good, nice, productive hump day.
I will try to check back in later tonight and PRAY that something else get's posted for me to read in my boredom!

Heeellllllooooo everyone!
Well, Wednesday was a bust. Nothing new or exciting to report on this end. Although, I *did* get a coupon from Bath & Body Works for a free body lotion with any purchase. Yeah! (What can I say, I'm easily pleased!)
Only two more days until Home on the Range opens! Can't wait to see it. Fom the previewes it looks like it should be a real gut-buster. Hmmmm, that sounds like a good name for an exercise machine! The GUT BUSTER, only 12.99 plus shipping and handling. Just send the checks to my home address! JK! :)
Gosh, starting tomorrow we'll all be able to say that we're sailing on the Disney Magic next month. Time flies when you're in good company. ::yes::
Let's see... What else to talk about...
Oh, I checked on availability for our cruise last night and they still showed Category 11s open. Good news for CM_Mom.
And finally, a little laughter to wrap my post up...
It looks like we're all in the same boat when it comes to upgrades! HAAA HAA HA HAA HA HA! Get it? Boat? Upgrades? HA HA HAA HA HA! ;)

Jason--THANK YOU for posting something that I could read instead of chase dust bunnies all afternoon! LOL
If you count the $100 dollar store and some new capri's exciting to report then I had one heck of an exciting day! LOL:tongue:
I got that B&BW coupon as well but didnt realize it was a "you have to buy something for $$$ to get the free stuff cheapskate" kind of a deal so I walked out without it
We just bought Brother Bear today at Costco (part of the hundred bucks what a steal) and we've watched it twice now! We always laugh our hiney's off at Disney humor! I was REALLY hoping that Home on the Range woulnd't premier until our time on the boat. Oh well...at least then we'll get to (as the kids say) see it for free..yeah right free that's it free!!!
Since today is almost over we are down to 27 days...woohoo! Tanner's birthday is on the 7th which will take us to 21 days, then Easter which will bring us to 17 days and then the mad packing rush that will bring us to D-day...it's going SO SLOW though! It really needs to hurry up!!!
Your little laugh of the day was hmmm how to put this politely like my comment last night of if the boat is rocking dont bother knocking!! Oh well..I did get a good laugh out of it AND I do thank god it wasn't the badger song!!
Off to fix my diet food for the night..only 10 more pounds to go of the 10 pounds I was going to lose before we left!

Heidi, If my problem was whether I was a 6 or a 4, I'd probably be terribly sick. Add about 10. I'm just trying to stay out of the Women's sections. But seriously, I have felt much better since I started going to Curves. Now if I can just get down into that dress that's been hanging in the closet for the last two years, I'll be thrilled. Oh well, I think we all agreed that we'll just politely not laugh at anyone. God and my husband think I'm beautiful so I think I'm way ahead.
Jason, thanks for the kind words. As long as they're listing availability for the public, then I'm happy. And they actually didn't have ANY Cat 11s listed in early March. They're a fairly recent addition.
Actually got an e-mail from the DD and she's checking availability daily so when it opens she'll book. Then she BETTER send me an e-mail.
Glad everyone else is getting the shopping done and all that stuff. I agree that tomorrow we can say Next Month I'm crusin'.
Gotta stop now and get our taxes done. I've put it off long enough and we're even getting a refund. I think I thought that if I didn't let the refund get in the bank, it wouldn't get spent. It's earmarked for the cruise. Since I'm already spending for the cruise, guess I better get with the program.
I'll check ya later,
Reine

I was so excited, when I got home this afternoon there was a box from Disney and of course I started dancing but it was just information for buying Saratoga that my DVC sales person sent. I just talked to her on Friday and she said it would take a week to 10 days. Maybe she should be in charge of Doc shipping. I think I'll call tomorrow to see if they have an ETA. I know what you mean Heidi, it's really not that big of a deal but Lindsey is beginning to doubt that I really made the resv. I tried to make resv. for the GF Tea today but because I didn't have a room resv. to link it to I couldn't. I guess I better get over to Travelocity and get the room reserved. I can't remember if I thanked you Heidi for getting that info to me - thank you, thank you, thank you.
Well my dinner has arrived so I'll check back later.

Hey Everyone -
Thanks for the curves info - I was so excited I had an appointment set up for this afternoon for the intro and of course had to cancel - had to pick Kristen up from soccer practice and drive her to cheerleading practice while eating dinner in the car. I'm determined to go though - guess I'll call back try again on Saturday.:bounce:
Heidi, my size 6 friend, please don't fret about those 10 lbs - I could only wish that was all I had to lose:eek: Thanks for letting us use your room for the meet - I'll bring the blender for the drinks.
Belle and Rella's Dad - I'm with you on the soccer weekend thing. My two older girls both play soccer all year long. Many weekends I go one way and my husband goes another. To make matters worse, my husband is a soccer referee for both the club level and our school level. So that leaves me trying to get 3 kids to three different places at one time. Did I mention that I can't wait for the cruise - no soccer fields on board:hyper:
Tracey - if you have any energy left, my house could use a good cleaning and I don't live that far from you. We are staying in Columbia, MD over Memorial Day weekend - is that close to you?
Jason - I love B&BW - I have all the ornage mango products. So tropical don't you think?
Congrats to those who got there docs. Now if someone could offer a crash course on filling them out I would appreciate. What on earth do I put on the Bahama's form? Alice - sorry your box wasn't your docs, but so cool you got info on Sarosta Springs.
Maybe we should have rented the Hummer to take us all to the port on Saturday from the WDW area. We could party the whole way to the cruise:teeth:
Happy Wednesday night, tomorrow we're into the 20's and leave 4 weeks from then.

Alice--sorry to hear that the box wasnt the docs! That stinks especially when that is so much more "fun" to get than documentation about something non-cruise related! LOL I know my kids asked every day before we got ours if we were REALLY going or if we were just going to pull a big fat April Fools Joke on them and say JUST KIDDING! I hope they come soon but I would definitely call tomorrow just to make sure all is well!!! As for the Travelocity stuff...I just hope it's right! I saw on there they had the POR still so I tried to book it but it wouldnt let me say 5 people in the room so I called them and asked them the price and would you believe they were $75.00 MORE than the Disney website?? Unreal!! I hope you get a room and then we can P~A~R~T~Y Girl!!!!!!!!!
Tammy--Sorry to hear you had to be drive mommy while eating dinner in the car..I actually had to cook again which I HATE! LOL As for the size issue..well...I know that a 6 is good for a 33 yr old mom of 3 but last year when we left for Cancun I was a size 4 and some days even they were a little "loose" on me (of course I didnt feel thin AT ALL) but what I wouldnt give to get back into those capri's again now!! I took back everything I already bought and re-started my shopping tonight at Mervyn's! Of course they had better prices and I got almost double the amount of clothes I took back...but still depressing!!! I need to lose more than 10 lbs but that is my absolute lowest amount I can lose before we go..BUT...I could stand to lose a good 15-20..10 is just more reasonable!!! Cool you're going to bring the blender...this trip is getting more and more fun by the second! LOL
Reine--I don't know how I missed your post..I feel bad I did...anyway
I am only 5'5" tall and have been a dancer my whole life. I got married at 20 yrs old and weighed 95 lbs. I got myself down to 110-115 before Cancun last year because that is the weight that looks the best on my frame but now I am WAY above that! I'm with you on the not laughing at anyone and also with you on the fact that Ryan loves me for who I am and likes the way I look so it doesn't matter about anyone else BUT...I still hate the thought that I could no longer wear a thong bikini if I wanted to! ROFLMAO
Hope you hear from dd soon! It must be hard to get in the "mood" of the cruise if you don't really know for 100 percent you are going on the cruise! Maybe you'll find out in the next few days so you can celebrate the weekend knowing you'll be with us party hardy animals!!!
Did you get your taxes done??? We got our refund a month ago and it was spent in Vegas on a new bra and Tom Jones tickets along with tons of BOOZE! LOLOLOL
Well I'm off to do my power yoga again tonight! Had to take last night off..I was too stiff from the days before..but it's time to get with it again!!
Hope you all have a pleasant or had a pleasant evening!

Alice, maybe by the time you read this the docs will be there.
I had a message all typed out and ready to post and then I got a phone call and got distracted. Then while I was on the call, I got an e-mail about a post and clicked on the link. Bye Bye message. Now I can't remember what I said so guess it wasn't that profound.
Heidi, you "missed" my post because it was AFTER yours. You can't be expected to read minds! I was just teasing about the weight. I don't think I've been 95 pounds since I was 11 and I'm just 5'3" but made on a more "solid" frame. Thank goodness my DH adores me (and I him) despite the changes that have happened over 30 years. Good grief, I've been married as long as some of you have been alive. Oh well. I'd rather be a young 55 than an old 45.
Tammy, keep after the Curves. I think you'll really enjoy it. I feel really good and surprisingly have less appetite when I'm doing some exercising.
I'm having fun hearing about all of you running around carpooling and chasing kids. Those were fun days that I don't miss one bit. The DD(25) that's on the Magic is my baby. And we have a DS(27).
Tracey, glad you're burning off that energy. Just keep it up. I gave myself a Christmas present two years ago by hiring someone to come clean my house once a month. She'll clean on Monday before we leave on Friday. So if DH and I can keep the place picked up before we leave, it'll still be clean when we get back. There are some definite benefits to an empty nest.
Jason, sorry your Wednesday wasn't thrilling and exciting but the week's more than half over so we're headed toward the weekend.
I got the taxes finished and filed - electronically of course. The refund should come just about the time I need to put money in DDs account to pay for the cruise.
DCL is still showing public availability in multiple categories so looks good. We will have 5 of us counting DD but are planning on 2 staterooms since I think it will be easier to get two rooms than to get one that will sleep 5 adults. My Mom and Aunt are coming with us and will have their own stateroom. The fun part is WHERE. This cruise has really strengthened my prayer life. God's laughing and listening but the answer is NOT YET, child.
Well, I stayed on the phone too long to take more time to chat. It's past bedtime and I do have to work tomorrow.
It's after midnight here so April Fool's and I'm starting NEXT MONTH out on the MAGIC (I hope).
Ya'll have a great Thursday...since that's when you're likely to read this.

Hello everybody
Silke and I are doing the happy" only 3 weeks" Dance.
If only the mail would speed up and my docs arrive!!!!
All your talking about cleaning inspired me to start cleaning my windows, which I absolutly hate.I seriously need to do a little bit more, but after the windows my drive suddenly disappeared.Well, maybe next week or Easter.
Heidi-good news, the pool bar at POR is open till 10 and the main bar till midnight.
CM_Mom-still sending positive thoughts your way.
Does anybody have any experiences with doing an upgrade at port?I would love to have a verandah and really regret not booking it in the first place. If only I had none about the development with the dollar and the euro.
Any advice would be appreciated!
OK,I can´t linger around here any longer, third dentist appointment is getting closer and I don´t want to go.:teeth: :scared1: :worried: :scared: :faint:
Wish me luck

O.K., I have been sitting here reading all the posts for the past couple of days and I am happy for everyone who is getting their Docs, but it looks as if Alice and I are the only ones who haven't received theirs yet. It is so bad that I called Slacker (My UPS guy) yesterday to find out why he hasn't delivered them yet, he said that he empties his truck every night and they are not there. I am a planner, some people would say that I over plan (they don't know what they are talking about) so I need my Docs.
Sort of like the old Dire Straits song ( for all you 80's people ) I think it was called Money for Nothing and they had a line "I want my MTV", I have a new one "I want my D-O-C's".
Please bear with me, we have 28 days till we leave, and I don't care if Ed McMann showed up at my door, if he didn't have my docs I don't want to talk to him.

Wow - quite a few posts to read this a.m. when I got to work (I love my job..lol!)....
B&R Dad and Alice - Fingers crossed that you guys get your docs this week!!!!!
Well, it seems my cleaning was all for naught.. (well not quite, at least I have a sharp looking place!!) My friend can't make it down because of car troubles... :( oh well... But, sure glad my cleaning inspired so many others of you to do the same.. that makes it all worth it... ;)
Reine - SOOO nice to have a cleaning person I'll bet... I wish someone would pay ME to clean MY house.. lol... like i said, i enjoy it, so that doesn't make the task quite so bad...
Conny - That would be nice to be able to upgrade to a verandah at the port!! Good luck with that and hopefully it'll work out to be not too much more money!
Tammy - Columbia is about 20 min from me!! Its a nice place...I've been there a few days way back in the day to Merriweather Post Pavilion to see concerts (anybody remember Depeche Mode??).. Do you have relatives there?? And you're in PA right? I have friends near Pittsburgh area.
Jason - hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!! NOT!!!
:p
Heidi - you're a trip.. I can't imagine you NOT being easy-going!!!
And I feel the same way about my house - I don't like people popping by without giving me about a week to clean!! My house DEFINETLY will not be appearing in Good Housekeeping anytime soon though!!!!!!!!
And I cringed when I read "thong bikini"!! I know even if I WANTED to wear one (which would ONLY happen if I were in Timbuktu where i knew absolutely NO ONE!) I think people behind me would be terribly grossed out by my BOB (big 'ole butt)!!!!! lol... ::yes:: oh well... maybe in my next life I'll come back as a supermodel!!!!!!!!!!
Well - have a great April 1 everyone!!!

Ouch! Looks like Ed McMann got told! :p
Ok. So now we can all officially say that we're going to be on the Disney Magic next month! Actually, in only 29 days!
I'm happy to see that most of you are getting refunds from the IRS this year. Unlike you guys and gals, I have to pay up. :( Oh well, I won't transfer the funds until 11:59:59 on April 15! That'll teach em. :teeth:
I stopped by Borders on my way home from class this morning and got some reading material for the cruise. I always take a book but usually never end up reading it. Too much to do and only a week to get it all accomplished. :hyper: Perhaps this time will be different. Yeah, right.
Glad to see that the preparations for the First Annual Hydster and Conny264 Mini-Dis Meet at Disney's Port Orleans Resort are well underway. Oh wait, I guess the only thing that group needs is a sign pointing to the bar. :jester: (Just kidding!)

Hello Everyone
It's been awhile since I have had time to check the boards, and Boy have I had to do some reading LOL
Belle & Rella's Dad
don't feel too bad because I have not got my Doc's either:( I booked thru our DVC rep so not sure if anyone else had done that and received theirs yet, Alice? You would think living on the East Coast it wouldn't take that long to come up here? Well I won't panic until a few more days than I am calling to see where they are!!
Question for you veteran cruisers on Disney, do you know if the TV's in cabins have hook ups for video/audio? We are bringing our camcorder and like to watch it on TV at end of day (For, one to watch all the fun we and everyone else had and 2 to maybe edit some to save more tape for next day:teeth: )
CM_Mom I myself have been married for 33 years and I was very interested in what you had to say about Curves they just opened one here and I was wondering about it! Sure sounds like something I could do. What do you think 4 weeks can do for a 50 something Mom/Grandma, to get into some sort of shape for the cruise or should I just wait until we get back. I know I will need to do something than!!! Do you have to commit to a year or can you just go and pay for weekly? I sure hope you hear something soon about availability it would be nice to have someone closer to my age to sit back relax with drink in hand and watch all the young Moms & Dads running around after little ones (but have to admit I am feeling the empty nest syndrome DD age 28 DS age 26 and don't see them much anymore--they grow up so FAST...so enjoy every minute!!) Wow talking about this just made me decide that I will have to book my next cruise and bring my two grandchildren ages 5 & 2 now I am even more excited cruising in 29 days and now will talk DH into booking one for Grandkids!!
Another question:crazy: I have not heard anything about our shore excursions we put in for, do they usually confirm them before the cruise? I did fax my choices but put down to e-mail me my confirms instead of faxing them to me.
Conny... I sure hope it is possible to upgrade to veranda we had one for last two cruises and LOVED it!! Just to get up early and sit out there is so... relaxing as well as the end of the day too. I don't think we would book anything else (unless of course we had no choice can't stop cruising you know!!)
Hope not too many of you are getting Fooled today, my Daycare children are having a blast with fooling me (all day so far
 ) fake bugs in their lunch, shoes on the wrong feet, one of them even rigged my spray on the sink with a rubber band so when I turned on the water I got a good bath :hyper: got to love their imagination!! Got back at them though, after lunch for teeth brushing I put toothpaste all over the bottom side of the handles when they picked them up they all were screaming gross yuck!!! :jumping1:
Bye

Only 30 hours til the weekend starts AGAIN! It seems that the weeks are starting to go a little faster but the weekends seem to go much faster than the work week.
Crummy rain here again today! Yesterday 83 today 52...no wonder I feel a little under the weather today! I think I'm on the beginnings of a nasty spring cold...I get them every year and apparently this year will be no different. Fortunately for me my doc has been kind enough to call me in some amoxicillin to take for when I get my normal upper respiratory bronchial thing which I seem to get every year at Easter no matter when Easter is.
Reine--I didn't even look at the post order...can you say I should have been blonde?? LOL Anyway...I knew you were just kidding around..sometimes it's hard to convey stuff like that on an Internet BB...but hey..it's all good we are all going on a cruise! What could be better than that??? I killed myself last year to get down to that weight and I guess I decided that I dont like to exercise that much so I quit but I still wanted the hot bod! I think it's great you've been married so long! We are going on 13 years this August so not as long as you but we are almost at half your time!:earseek:
Glad to hear you got your taxes done! It's such a relief! I hope you can get the 2 rooms for the 5 of you on the MAGIC! It's time for us to get some Magic for you...so I will lie in bed the rest of the afternoon and think positive thoughts for you!!
Conny--Wow only 3 weeks! We are lower than 4 now by only 1 day but 1 day is 1 day right?? LOL I am impressed you washed windows. I ALMOST did that the other day but thankfully I didnt since it is pouring rain here again today and all my south and west facing windows are drenched. AWESOME news about the POR pool bar being open til 10..that's just enough time for me to rack up one heck of a bill and then go sleep it off.::yes:: Sorry to hear about the dental appt coming up! I SO need to go put keep putting it off. Now with the timing it looks like I will be tempting fate with the cruise and no visit to the dentist. My cleaning appt had to get changed so now it's after we get back! I will pray that all goes well with the dentist and I will also thank GOD it isnt me in that chair!
B&R Dad---(too long to type out)...I'm SO sorry you havent got yoru docs yet! That stinks! Maybe you should call your TA or Disney and find out if they sent them yet. Tell them you are going out of town soon and need them before you leave. They may be able to help you out!! I was dying at your Dire Straits flashback. I got my first *offical kiss with my boyfriend* to that song! AAHH the memories that brings! LOL Ed McMahon can go away?? WOW you must really want those docs! I think I wanted mine pretty badly but hmm...if Ed McMahon showed up well boy I'd have to think long and hard about it! ;) I hope you get them today or tomorrow..make sure you post when you do get them!
Tracey--Sorry to hear your friend can't make it down but hey now look at all the extra time you'll have this weekend to sit on here and chat with us! :chat: AAHH yes Depeche Mode...just took it out of the CD player in my car this last weekend! Loved them! I have too many 80's cd's I think! I also took out The Cure, Culture Club and Duran Duran! LOL Boy I am dating myself here aren't I? LOL about you thinking of the thong! I wore one one day in Cancun on our last day figuring I wouldn't see anyone around after that..>WRONG! I saw 3 couples from the same hotel at the airport and WORSE than that they were on our flight! LOL What are the chances of that?? Needless to say I threw the thong bikini away when I got home! :crazy2: I have one of those BOB's too! And alot of other acronyms as well! HEHE Maybe we should hold a Biggest Butt contest and the loser buys drinks? :hyper:
Jason--Sorry to hear you have to pay taxes this year! It is one of the good benefits of having kids! LOLOLOLOLOL! But someday's I'd rather pay taxes than deal with Tanner and his fit throwing! I never read on vacation either even though I swear each time I will. I really get no time when the kids are with me since I spend 1/2 my day trying to please them! OH well..one day I will be able to sit and read!!!HEHE about the sign pointint to the bar at POR! I think it's official and you could put it on the website if you wanted

Port Orleans Riverside Swimming Pool Bar
9 pm
Anyone who wants to come and join us is welcome! Me and Conny will be pounding the Gin...the rest of you may do whatever you like!
Unless someone has anything to add to it..I think that's it!
Bobbidiboo---If I remember right they did have AV connection but I could be stoned (or drunk yeah yeah I know). We like to watch it too and watch all the people we took video of making fools out of themselves (usually one of those people includes me).
If you EVER want some kids to take care of the empty nest syndrome on the trip LET ME KNOW! I have 3 for rent!:jester: Some days I think I will really go insane when they are gone and some days I think I will really go insane when they are home. Sorry to hear you haven't gotten your docs as well. As far as I can tell it's you, Alice, Conny (although hers are on their way) and Belle and Rella's Dad. Hopefully soon! I called and asked for my excursions and got them suposedly but never received any kind of confirmation. When we did it last time we got a paper in the mail about it. OH well I guess if we dont go we dont go. It wouldnt kill me to just go sit at the pool and then go shopping. Your kids fooling you is pretty funny! My little foolers called me from school to tell me that they got suspended. Of course I freaked out and went a little nutty but it was a joke. I didnt even realize what day it was.
Well off to take Tanner to preschool and come home and lay down trying to get rid of this crud!

Good to see you back on the thread. We haven't seen you for pages. :) (Get it, Pages instead of Ages!) Gosh, I kill myself.
Looks like Heidi answered your question on the television equipment in the staterooms so I'll pick up the second question. I e-mailed in our shore excursion requests on a Sunday and received an e-mail confirmation on Tuesday. Then, about two weeks ago, I received a printed confirmation via regular mail. I would think that they would confirm your excursions in one way or another. Perhaps a call to the excursion number would help?
BTW, good luck with the rest of April Fool's Day!
Heidi--

Boss is out today, so I can spend a little more time than usual on here!!! Gosh, i'm starting to sound like Heidi!!! lol...
Jason - yuck, sorry about paying.. like heidi said, benefit of having a kid (plus with me, benefit of being HOH!!!!):smooth:
I need to make a book-run to Borders too or one of the bookstores around. I'm HOPING I get a chance to do some reading, but if I don't, I dont'.. At least I'll be on VACATION!!!!!
Brenda - WB! nice to "see" ya again. Thats funny about your daycare kids.. I told Logan last night today was April fools day and that whoever played the first joke on each other this a.m. would be the "winner"... needless to say I guess we both forgot!! But I did play a few here at work....
Heidi - Yuck - 83 to 52?? thats just not right!!!! Its crummy raining here about high 40's I would guess.. YUCK!!! Hope you feel better...
Oh yes, Cure, Duran Duran.... ever watch that new program on VH-1.. think its like bands reunited or something like that? I seem to see quite a few 80's bands on there and boy do they look OLD!!! lol....
Too funny about the thong.... Something like that would probably happen to me too; I seem to have that kind of luck!!!
L8r all...

Heidi & Jason
Thanks for answering so quick, Jason too funny pages-ages what a jokester:hyper: I bet you have come up with some good April Fools, I pity poor Travis LOL
Guess what I checked my email after posting and there was a confirmation from DCL, they say we were booked for excursions on March 2 and will have a confirm in the mail:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Now if the Docs would just arrive!
Heidi, I would be more than happy to borrow (no renting involved) the three little ones. As you know I do Home Daycare and am surrounded by kids every day so will kind of miss this (Hubby thinks I'm nuts I'm suppose to be on vacation he says!!) Belive it or not our last cruise to Hawaii for our 30th anniversary he found me spending time in the Kids area, I guess I must be  but just love kids!!!: What a shock to get a phone call like that sounds like you have a couple of little jokesters too ummm... who do you think they must take after?
Well off to prepare myself for the bus to arrive with the school aged kids Oh Boy I wonder what the jokes will be from them!!

Oh I forgot to ask this for all you ladies going what will you be wearing for formal night? I was wondering if it should be a cocktail length dress or full length? Have to decide what to pack, love to get dressed up but don't want to be the only one wearing a full length gown!
Thanks Brenda

Well you all know me..cant stay away from the boards even when feeling under the weather so I grabbed the laptop and the wireless card and voila here I am...aren't you so happy for modern technology?? ROFLMAO
Jason--no hurry on the update of the mini-meet..whenever is fine! I realize you DO have a life and all contrary to me who has NO life! ROLFMAO at your pages/ages thing!
Tracey--Wow cool no boss today! Mine is at preschool right now!
:p Yeah it was so nice yesterday..shorts, t-shirts now it is back to long pants and long sleeve shirts. It stinks! Of course there is a joke about living in Utah because the LDS church has a General Conference twice a year held for 4 hours on Saturday and 4 hours on Sunday televised on local tv. EVERY year it seems on Conference weekend it gets crummy, rainy, cold and yucky! And of course it is THIS weekend so naturally it has to get crummy and cold. I guess it is to keep all the faithful mormons from doing anything but watching tv! *yep I grew up mormon still go occasionally but am branching out a little bit figuring the alcohol is like my liquid xanax.* Utah is the biggest user of prescription drugs in the country..go figure! I'm definitely the black sheep of the family..and my parents have NO idea! LOL Anyway back to the story.......I tivo that program on VH-1 religiously! I think it is hilarious to look at them now and eww some of them are N~A~S~T~Y!!!! Yeah we got a good laugh on the plane on the way home with everyone saying "hey weren't you the thong woman?" of course I wore it because there were a ton of little 18-19 year old girls with the perfect tiny perky bum's wearing them so I did it to show them what their a**'s would look like in 15 years and 3 kids! ROLFMAO...most of the people on the plane applauded me when they found out who I was. I even got drunk enough (go figure) to wear a sign saying something like " one day your cute little bums will look like THIS" ...with an arrow pointing downward! It was funny but I look back at it now and shake my head!
Brendy--You can use my kids anytime you get bored! Really! I know for me it would be a nice break since I"m home alone with them a lot. Ryan has travelled a lot in the past not so much now but I get burned out so anytime! LOL about hubby finding you in the kids area...you sound like my MIL! She'd kill herself for the kids..not me! I think the kids take after their dad! ROFLMAO! We both have great senses of humor so I don't know who they get it from! We are both goofy!
As for the dress thing..I have a black full length backless dress I plan to wear on Formal night if that helps! I also have just a black simple knee length blah dress for semi-formal! LOL
Well off to get something to eat and gag down some more tylenol and an extra squirt of zicam!

OMG - Too funny Heidi!!!!!!! :rotfl: I don't think I could ever do that, so I definetly commend you for having the guts to do it!!!!! Well, it sounds like you had a really good attitude about it all, so thats good.. and you can look back and laugh about it now!!!
Brenda - I've got a long velvet dress (full length) with rhinestone "spaghetti" straps I'm wearing for formal and a brown/black spaghetti strap calf-length dress for semi.
Though for the life of me, I thought i had a tropical outfit to wear and after looking through my closet - I don't think i do!! Oh well, guess I gotta go shopping this weekend!!!! :moped:

Heidi you are cracking me up - I did the topless thing in Acapulco thinking I would not know anyone and the nice couple who we talked to on the airplane all the way down showed up:o that was a lesson learned. One thing I learned while living in Provo, if you are LDS you either party or you don't, but if you do YOU DO. That's the nice thing about being Catholic - it's expected of you:D
Brenda - I called today and MS said not to expect them (doc's) until 2-3 weeks before our departure. I also have a full length dress for formal night.
Saturday97 - glad you got your doc's. Have you had the Konk Koolers before? Do you know how to make them? I have heard really good reviews for them. I think I read they have Midori in them, I'll pretty much drink anything with Midori in it:hyper:
I have an appt. with the accountant on Monday and I am way nervous. You guys make me jealous there is no way I could not have a cleaning person. They come every other Friday and the house is still discusting. I know it's my fault my two DD's are PIGGIES (I know you are reading this Linds) and don't want to help their poor momma. But it won't be long now and they will be gone and that will be bitter sweet.
Sounds like we have a great combination of personalities and I can't wait to share the DRINK OF THE DAY with you all.

I couldn't agree more with your statement concerning our group of personalities!
We're going to be know onboard the Magic as those Crazy  May 1st Dis Board Cruisers!
Hmmm... That makes me wonder... Do you think there could be another "Dis Board" out there on the World Wide Web somewhere? Kinda like an alternate universe? Perhaps they plan meets and everything too!

Lisa--
I usually always opt for e-mail when reserving our excursions. DCL seems to be very efficient through this method.
I believe I e-mailed our excursion choices for the May 1st Cruise about two weeks ago, on a Sunday. DCL sent me a confirmation by e-mail on Tuesday and I just received a printed confirmation via regular mail late last week.
Have you decided on which excursions you'll be doing?

Bobbidiboo, there are definitely advantages to age. About Curves, I hope a month will help since I just started last week so I have a total of 8 days so far. I think I told someone else but I think you can print a trial coupon from their website http://www.curvesinternational.com . It's probably back a few pages but who wants to search. I'm paying on a direct debit cause I'm WAY lazy but you can cancel with a month's notice. It was about $75 to register and $30 a month plus taxes. I figure that's plenty reasonable.
We won't be the oldest on the cruise. I'm bringing my Mom and Aunt who are in their early 80s, but they won't be at the pool. I did get an "old lady" swimsuit on the advice of DD. (she'll pay for that remark) but I think my definition of "old lady" is a swimsuit that covers the subject adequately. We've all agreed not to gawk and just have fun. I'll join you at the pool with a big glass of iced tea with lemon and sugar since I never developed a taste for alcohol. And with us on the cruise, you guys don't even need a designated driver!
Heidi, hope the head gets better. I'm a big fan of Vicks Vaporub..much to the disgust of DH. But that's what made me feel better when I was little and my brain is programmed to feel better with Vicks on my nose when I have a cold.
Congrats to all you doc dancers. What fun to finally have part of the waiting over. Our clock is down to below 29 days to leaving time and I'm counting. Wish I could put a countdown clock on my desktop at work but not allowed.
I have NO idea what I'm wearing on formal night. If I can get in them, maybe some velvet pants and wrap. Otherwise just "Sunday clothes" although at our church now that's pretty casual so I'll change that to "Sunday go to meetin'" clothes and those of you from the South will understand. I've looked at semiformals but hate to spend the money for just two nights. I may check out the resale stores. There's another poster called CHEAPMOM. maybe I should steal her handle. I still have 3 weekends and some evenings to shop. (We're going to be in East Texas at our cabin doing absolutely nothing one weekend.)
I hit Academy Sports and Outdoors and must have found the $9.99 specials. I found a tropical long dress, a tropical shirt for DH and a cover up for me all for $9.99 each. That's my kind of sale. If I steal DD's lei, then I'm set for tropical night.
I thought I was set for packing and was planning to pack light for the cruise, then I remembered that we have 3 more days to plan for after the cruise since we're staying till the 11th to do the parks some...especially since we get in free with DD,
About all the kids. We may just have to treat ourselves like a "village" and everyone keep an eye out for them. Isn't that one of the great things about DCL...the sense of security?

OK everybody, how on earth do you manage tofill to more pages in such a short time.
Jason-I may sound stupid but what is "Home on the range" and the smilie is cool.Don´t worry, you are not the only one to pay taxes,i guess I worked to much last year and the reward is a big paycheck to the authoritys. But other than you,I will only have to file it till August,so-happy spending in WDW.
Ladies-this formal dress thing really worries me a little.I´m definitly not a gown or skirt person, but I got a nice pair of evening pants,a shirt that sparkles a little and a black Chassuble to go with it.I put on some weight over the last years due to medication and health reasons and I´m not comfortable with anything too body hugging.I´m not even sure I´ll make it to wear a bathing suit.Let´s wait and see.But usually drinks help(know what I mean?)
Still no docs for us,Im hoping for them at the beginning of next week.
The dentist was a real pain, over 90 minutes, but luckily the worst is over and I´ll be fit at cruise time.
Only 20 more days.

Good Morning to you all. I'm actually ready for work a few minutes early (very rare) so I have time to post a note.
Conny, glad you're going to be dentally fit for the cruise. I'd hate for you to have an impediment to eating all that food! Don't sweat the evening deal. I know I'm not going to be in "evening" wear unless something shows up REALLY cheap and even with Curves, I have too many of them to like form fitting myself. Actually, I have black jersey pants and I've been looking for a top "with a little bit of sparkle" myself so you won't be alone. We can't all dress like princesses.princess:
Everyone else, yea to the docs, hope the excursion paperwork comes in and only 28 DAYS left!!!!!!!!!
I think that calls for a bouncy bounce.

They did tell me that I was booked for my choices as of Mar 2nd.(also I did email them last week to see if they had gotten my fax) maybe this little prod helped to get a reply?
Alice thanks for calling and checking about the docs I guess being a DVC member means we get them last:rolleyes: I guess I will bring my full length gown I wore on last cruise I always love to look at our formal pictures when back home!!
CM_Mom thanks for the site to get a coupon print out for Curves, I did it and I am going to go talk to them tomorrow I guess it's never too early to get started on getting physical::yes:: Lucky you , 3 more days of Disney after the cruise, do you get a good deal for a Resort too through your DD? Don't worry about the swimsuit I too have a one piece so called "old lady" suit, could never go two piece again!!!
Conny, I am taking my DGS to Home On The Range tomorrow we have been watching the previews for ever and can't wait to see it, About a group of cows who want to save the Farm, if you like Country Music they say lots of original songs by quite a few Country Music Stars!

Good FRIDAY morning to you all!!! I am actually feeling a little better today. It's amazing what a straight shot of whiskey can do to a cold!:p I think the whiskey and the zicam both are helping...darn yet another reason to drink.
Alice--ROFLMAO about going topless in Acapulco! Now see topless I could NEVER pull off because all the **** went to my BUTT! I am not endowed enough (hence the need for the miracle bra I chucked at Tom Jones's *unit*) LOL about the mormons and the catholics. I've always said how come wine was good enough for Jesus and not me?? ROFLMAO Oh well I'll keep up the tradition of being the mormon partier (had to edit that I think it said moron LOL) I think you are right about the personalities on here as well...and everyone on board is going to be SO jealous they aren't us!:smooth: I had a house cleaner for awhile but I just couldnt stand to be here and watch her clean so I stopped the service. I would like to start it back up again though because I am SO sick of cleaning! Sorry to hear your nervous about seeing the accountant! When we were in business for ourselved I HATED that damn accountant more than anyone in the world! He always screwed us out of money! Good LUCK!
Jason--LOL at the alternative board suggestion! I have wondered that as well. Maybe if we see a huge group we'll have to ask them that.;) Also we need to figure out how we are going to spot people because I see your pic on the website now but lord knows if I get a few shots down me I may not be the sharpest tack in the box!(no comments from anyone in the peanut gallery)
Lisa--We called our 1 and only excursion in and haven't received squat! OH well if we can't go we can't go..then I'll just have to find me a bar to drown my sorrow in. What did you decide to do as an excursion?
Reine--I use vicks vaporub as well and it gags my whole family. I am feeling much better today though! I sense the countdown calendar going down too but not nearly fast enough! I plan on buying my family some tropical wear while in port. I have a "tropical" type sundress things, Ryan has a TON of tropical shirts (he collects them on every vacation..some of them however have that vacation stupidity written all over them where it looked really good when we were on the vacation but we get home and go WHAT THE ? were we thinking?) My taste for alcohol is pretty weak as well. I like some wines and mostly gin with about 3 whole limes in it to counteract the alcohol taste! :teeth: Can't drink rum or tequila from doing slammers one night right after I turned legal (and married 3 days earlier so you get the point) but ewww now I can only stomach gin and a little vodka if there is no gin and then some wine!
Conny---we are wrtiting fools around here. Too much pent up excited energy for me so I focus it on here where people understand and "know" me! LOL Don't stress about the formal thing...your outfit will be just fine!! I have a pair of nice black pants and a sparkly jacket I may wear on the semi-formal night instead but I dont know yet..gotta get the help from Ryan on that. I understand about putting on some weight...I have decided that's why I've packed on a few pounds is after my hysterectomy (or that's my story and I'm sticking to it). And then you add in a little "liquid courage" and all is well with the world! Hope you get docs soon! Great job on getting the dentist done! I can't imagine keeping my mouth open for 90 min though unless they put me out!!!! 20 days for you which means 26 for me! YIPPEEE
:Pinkbounc
Allison--lol about checking the website..you need to come here more often and "party" with us on this board as well! Hi I'm Heidi and I'm the May 1 Dis Board addict! ROFLMAO Sorry to hear you haven't got your docs yet or a room number! I hope they come soon!!! I haven't got a clue as to what your dining rotation will be...nor mine but I dont care...I go to each restaurant basically the same amount of time so I guess what we get is what we get but then we are on early seating so I dont know if that makes a difference.
Brenda--THANK YOU SO MUCH for the puking green emoticon! That is exactly what I need!! LOL We bought Brudder Bear (as Tanner calls it) on Wednesday and I think the kids have worn it out. They were watching Cat in the Hat until I broke down and bought Brother Bear. As for the Home on the Range..I think we'll wait til we get on the ship as I'm sure they will be playing that one for awhile! I have been doing Yoga at home with Ryan at night and then doing Pilates, Total Gym and the treadmill alternating each day and doing yoga every night and while the scale says I still weigh the same I sure feel different! Maybe it's just wishful thinking but I think I may actually end up looking ok for this trip! I only wear a 2 piece because I still refuse to give up being young! I do have a few 1 pieces I wear in public here so that if I see someone I know they wont see me in a bikini! LOL Your daycare sounds so great! You are definitely very organized with the movie day and all! If I had to put my kids in Daycare I would want them with you that is for sure!!!
Well this is epic long (not a record for me yet...but I'm sure in time I will beat my own post length record) but I really need to go clean out my toaster oven since it stinks when it cooks toast like something is burning on the toaster part and need to actually get out of my workout clothes and into regular everyday mode!! I'm sure I'll be back on here today within a few hours since I'm the addict!

Hydster,
I may not post often but I don't miss a thing. i never miss a day on the dis board. i feel like I know you all personally. I am looking forward to the Dis meet on the ship, just so there is a bar available.
'Not too worried about not receiving my docs yet. But I am sure the TA would like for me to quit calling her to see if I have a room assignment yet. And, as of noon today, I am still in GTY status. She should just be glad the weekend is here and she will have 2 days without hearing from me.
i know this month is going to fly by. Easter is next weekend and my DS, Noah will be turning 6 on the 17th. I am in school every Saturday studying to be a sommelier(wine steward). So YOU KNOW i will be doing the stem-to-stern wine tasting.
I also homeschool Noah and we will be celebrating his Kindergarten graduation on the ship.
I look forward to hearing from everyone. And I can't wait to wear my thong bikini to the Goofy pool. LOL noooo waaaay!! See you,...Allisonpirate: ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

I was LOL at you talking about your TA getting the weekend off! We've done that before and once got told if we called one more time we'd have a restraining order against us (she was just kidding) but it was funny! Now since most of the time we use online TA's it's harder to stalk them via email! I hope you get them soon and maybe the long wait on the GTY means they are seeing if they can give you an awesome upgrade..:teeth: :hyper: that would be worth waiting for!! LOL
Tanner's turning 5 on the 7th of April and we have a party scheduled for him that following Friday, then Easter, having my kids home from school until the Wed after Easter and then only 2 weeks left til we leave! It will go fast or at least I hope it will go fast! LOL Cool about going to sommalier school! I saw a TLC program called Faking it or something like that and this guy who was totally NOT a sommalier material had to go to sommalier school in a record amount of days and then try to convince some critics that he really was a sommalier! It was really interesting to watch and if I see you on the ship you can bet I will be asking you what to have in the vino dept! LOL If you wear your thong I'll wear mine NOT! I dont think there is enough liquid courage on that boat to get me to do that again and McKaylee my 10 year old dd would absolutely DIE! She's at that age where everything is embarrasing! hmmm on 2nd thought....:teeth:
Saturday--I'm going to try to avoid the hurling as well but one never knows! Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad you're enjoying the site.
Travis and I have always ended up with the LAPLAPL dining rotation and we'll probably get that one again. I think it has something to do with us not having any kids.
As far as the matrix, you may want to print out all three just in case. That way, no matter what rotation you get, you'll be covered.

Hello and Good Morning.
Heidi-is this video really that great?I checked and it would take over 1 Hour to open and I don´t have a flat rate.I guess I´ll have to wait untill i see the real thing(only 19 Days).LOL about spotting everyone on board,I´m glad we meet one day earlier so we can go people hunting at the goofy pool together. And I´m sure if we are as crazy together as we might, they will spot us.We have our pictures at ************ to identify us,also my hair is a lot longer and more blond but Silke is still red and long.
Jason-I too ,haven´t tasted a KOnk Kooler in my life, does that mean off with my head as well?Or am I being spared because I´m german and here no one has even heard about a drink like that.
I have one important question and hope somebody can help:I need to do some shopping for my job while at WDW.I normally do it in Boston in stores called CVS.I don´t know if there is one but if not, what other sort of stores should I look for that carry similar stuff? Was that understandable,it´s really early here?
CM_Mom - still cabins available at disneycruise.com.More positive thoughts going your way.And thanks for the reasuring about clothes .
Take care and talk to you soon.

Hello
Conny I'm pretty sure you'll find Eckerd's very similiar to CVS, if you can't find a CVS in Orlando.
Brenda LOL on the little green hurling dude.
Reine do you have a patience issue;) because God sure is testing you on this one:D I'll be sure to send up a special request tomorrow morning.
I am not endowed enough
Neither am I that's why I thought what the heck. There were all these big breasted European chicks laying around I figured no one would even look twice at me LOL. The miracle bra is also my friend. I am so stressed over the taxes I had to have a massage last night and a glass of wine. I'm not going to spend anymore money until I find out the bottom line on Monday. (what a waste of a perfectly good weekend)
Hey Allison glad you checked in. Sounds like you will be a perfect fit in this rather eclectic community:teeth: Knowledge is a very good thing especially the kind of knowledge you have, we should try to plan our own little wine tasting. Conny could bring a bottle (or two) ;) from Germany, I'll bring something from IL (don't worry not a local vineyard) and so on and son on:tongue:
Maybe we should contact DCL and encourage them to put us all on one floor, kind of away from the rest of the guests:smooth:
I have something for you Jason but I'm going to go ahead and post this in case I do something to screw it up. I don't want to lose this post as this is pretty much of epic proportions for me.

Alice,
I'm always VERY careful NOT to pray for patience. I says in James that tribulations works patience and I don't need any more problems. But like I said before, God has a wonderful sense of humor and he's currently saying WAIT child. I think he's trying to teach me to live in the moment and be grateful for what I already have. Not a bad idea for all of us.
Got an e-mail from DD and she's checking daily so with all the prayers and positive thoughts, whatever happens will be wonderful.

Here's the recipe I saw before, but like I say, I prefer to leave it to the experts on the cruise: "Hmm, I feel like a Konk Kooler-- time to cruise again!!"
1/2 can of cream of coconut or one 12 oz can frozen pina colada mix
3 ounces light rum
3 ounces dark rum
1/2 of a 12 oz can frozen passion fruit juice concentrae (Welches)
4 oz of orange juice
2-3 cups of ice
mix all together in a blender until very fine and smooth
Experience Bliss!!!:hyper:

saturday97 - :teeth: ya beat me - here's some of the other posts I thought were interesting
Konk Koolers recipe from DCL:
1 oz Light Rum
3/4 oz Dark Rum
2 oz Pina Colada Mix
2 oz Passion Fruit Juice
2 oz Orange Juice
Blend over ice.
This is the "official" recipe. Thought I'd share.
and;
The Konk Cooler is good.....
But the Midori Colada IMO is WAY better. YUMMY! Hubby and I were hooked on them! They are made with Melon Liquor (sp?). It seems like most of the foo-foo drinks have that Cream of Coconut base in them. Anyway, you must try a Midori Colada!

Happy weekend all!
We've had a bit of a cold spell here in Florida. Had to pull out the long sleeve shirts and jeans when we went to see Home on the Range last night. Which, by the way, was a pretty cute moooovie!
Has anyone checked the Port Canaveral cam this morning? Just three more Saturdays until we'll all be partying on Deck 9 and 10, sipping our Konk Koolers during our Konk Kooler initiation (as suggested by Amber), and sailing out to sea! How great does all that sound?
Alice--
Your movie was a blast with the Mambo #5 song. They usually play a special version of that song on the ship: A little bit of Minnie in my life. A little bit of Mickey by her side. A little bit of Donald's all I need. A little bit of Pluto in the sun....
Alice, you gave great info about the CVS and Eckerd situation here in Florida. Eckerd is actually in the process of being sold off by JC Penney (it's parent company) and CVS is buying all of the stores in Florida and Texas. So, when you said that the two were very similar, you weren’t kidding in the least! :p
Conny--
All I can say is, if you've ever seen Alice in Wonderland you would know what the Queen of Hearts would say about you not having a Konk Kooler... Off with her head!!!
Brenda--
I can just see ya now, spring cleaning to Mambo #5! Here's another one...
<a href="http://www.funsilly.com/smileydance.shtml">Click here!</a>
<a href="http://kozo.apparitiondesigns.com/">And one more here.</a>
Amber--
I love your idea about the Konk Kooler initiation! And, with the Konk Koolers being so outstanding, I'm thinking all of the "pledges" would love it too! :teeth:

Good try but Mambo #5 was better.
Still doing the patience thing. Talked to DD this morning and she's made ressies for us at Coronado Springs Resort for AFTER the cruise. No word yet on availability for the cruise. DCL is still showing 4,5,6,7,9 so there's still hope. She said they often get their availability from TA "releases" so I'm gonna stay positive.
For grins I tried on my Mother of the Groom dress last night to see how it would work for formal night. I posted on another thread that unfortunately the dress lasted longer than the marriage did. Also unfortunately, I've "relaxed" my shape a little since then but I can still get it zipped. Go Curves, Go Curves. May work and may not. Should be an interesting month. Hmmm, what's to eat.
OK...I've got to get off the boards and get some progress made on this house. It's not the cleaning that's a problem, it's the JUNK. This is a good day to throw stuff AWAY.

Happy Saturday Everyone,
I think I'm driving my family nuts with the 4 weeks from we'll be arriving at the port, 4 weeks from now we'll be standing in line and such, so I thought I would visit here and the people who can appreciate the fact that 4 weeks from now we'll be getting ready for the life boat drill :)
Well I broke down and bought a new swimsuit today. Let me say that I am very, very depressed  at the way I look in it. I'm not much of a drinker, but swim suit shopping makes me want to drink. Oh well, I bought a pair of shorts and shirt to cover up with:smooth:
I can't wait to get to Florida - our weather here is awful. Cold and rainy with snow showers predicted for tomorrow. We had to stand outside last night for 2 hours in a high 30 degrees and rain to watch my DD's soccer game. At least they won, but we were frozen solid till it was over.
Well, I'm off to clean the basement. We have our annual yard sale next Saturday and I need to get stuff together. THe only motivation I have is that all money made will be cruise money.
CM-Mom - keeping my fingers crossed for you. Hopefully you'll hear something soon.
Love the Konk Kooler recipe - can hardly wait to have one.

Hello Everyone!!!
Cold dreary day in NY.
Just a quick update.... I saw Home on the Range today. Ate a large buttered popcorn and fell asleep:rolleyes:
I finally got shorts today. Two pairs basic white and tan.
For all you ladies worrying about formal night. FYI- I'm wearing a short black dress. I'll have to dress it up with some fake jewels or somehting. Found a pair of shoes to match $14.99. Yee Ha!:bounce:
Ready to start placing stuff in the suitcases so I don't forget anything. Am I rushing things????
Oh well I dont have time to respond to all as my children are getting antsy.
I too check the threads regularly but have not had the time to reply. Very entertaining though. I'm counting down to my first conch cooler with you all. I hope I don't get too out of hand

Hi all - thought I'd pop in to say hi and catch up.. Seems I've had alot going on lately that I haven't been able to spend too much time on here...
Did my last minute shopping today (4 weeks in advance, so I guess I can't quite say "last minute"!).. Anyway, got some suntan lotions, trial size "stuff" and a sweatsuit outfit for the plane ride/cruise. Also managed to fit in a spray tanning session - first time and I highly recommend it.. Wanted to test the waters with it and depending on my results, would depend if I continued til cruise time.. Think I'll be going back next week, especially since I have a 2-for-1 coupon....
Count me in too as a konk kooler virgin.. can't wait to try them out after hearing so much about them....
Back to enjoying my "me-time" weekend ....
Have a great weekend..
P.S. - LOVED that video clip Alice - ROFLMAO! LIked yours too Jason!!!

Tammy I know what you mean. I have been working out and dieting (not depriving myself but eating healthy) since January and I have lost weight and toned up a bit but it's still really ugly when the suit goes on. But I don't care, I love the sun and hate wearing something over my stomach when I lay out (just be warned everyone) so I'm hoping everyone is loopie enough it won't matter.
I'm a liar, I went shopping today, but I'm not going to take the tags off until after the accountant appt. Monday:D.

Hey Jason the two little dance sites are just too funny!! I love the purple Hippo in the Sumo outfit or was that a cruise thong? Now add me to the Konk Kooler virgin group but maybe after a couple you will see me dancing in a thong at poolside to Mickey's mambo #5 ("I don't think so!!!" )Oh by the way I did put on my Mambo #5 CD and got quite a lot of cleaning done; And Boo Hoo to your "Cold" weather, I will trade places any day with you, try 36 degrees and cloudy plus rain today and for next 3 day they predict SNOW again:eek:
Hey Tammy don't worry about that suit we all will have the Konk Koolers and than we all will look like we are in the Miss America swim suit contest:hyper: I also can relate to the depressing weather but so glad your DD won the game, Oh the sacrifices of parent hood I remember those days!
Kathy was it the cold dreary day that made you fall asleep at Home On The Range or was it a boring movie? And my suitcases are out and things I want to bring are piled next to them & was just wondering if I was  to think about packing!
Oh Tracy you are so lucky to have a spray tanning place near by, I bought some Neutrogena bronzing foam but have not used it yet I think I will try it tomorrow to see if I turn orange or not!!

Brenda, we can't let the youngsters have all the fun and I think Curves is fun. Let's compare notes in a couple of weeks and see if anything is changing. At my Curves, the weigh and measure is optional after the first one. But when you weigh in they put your name on a Star and hang it from the ceiling with how many pounds and inches you've lost. Then they add a ribbon to the points each month when you weigh in. Adds to the fun.
I think there's something about shopping that's therapeutic. I didn't do any today but I'm making a list.
Alice, hope the accountant visit isn't as painful as Connys dentist visits. This too shall pass.
Congrats to all of you who actually cleaned. I got some straightening done in a closet. Unfortunately, that doesn't take care of the VISIBLE part of the house. Guess no nap for me tomorrow after services.

Good Sunday morning to everyone.
Did the clock changing work for everybody,we had to do it last sunday,so that´s overe and done .
Alice-good idea ,private wine tasting.I could bring some from Germany, the only problem is,that I don´t think it would last through our 9 days at WDW.
Kathy-never to soon to start packing but I restrained myself to checking and updating my packing list on the computer.
Can´t wait to read, how this Konk Kooler ceremony is going to turn out.
So gotta run,Formula One race is about to start and I love it.

Tracey tell me about the spray on tan. They have it were I got my massage on Friday. I was watching a video of it while I waited for my appt. How does it not stain your suit or your hairline (that part not under the shower cap). Is it ok to wear make-up into the booth? Did the stuff you put on your hands, feet, knees and elbows leave a line? Is it one tone fits everyone? (like if you buy self tanner you can get light, med. or dark) You sound very happy with it so I'm assuming the tone was good for you. The next time you go will you get darker?
Just a couple of questions:D
I could bring some from Germany, the only problem is,that I don´t think it would last through our 9 days at WDW.
Too funny - I have that problem with German wine too.
You ladies have got me going on this Curves thing. We have one about 15 min. away. Can you go every day? Is there a treadmill to use along with the circuit? We have a nice facility at work so I know I wouldn't join but I would like to check out their concept.
Alice, we are just going to have to settle the Konk Kooler recipe controversy ourselves by investigating on the ship!
It's a tough job but someone's got to do it:D anything for the group right::yes::
Brenda I love the little time changer smiley.
I love the purple Hippo in the Sumo outfit or was that a cruise thong?
LOL "crusie thong" he was hilarious Jason. I'll probably look like him on the last day of the cruise, only red instead of purple (after eating and laying out all week).
I have 2 questions for anyone who has gone on the cruise before.
1 - What SPF do you recommend? I bought a 30, 15 and 8. I wanted to buy a 45 but Linds thought I was crazy. I want to be out all day and I definitely don't want to burn especially the 1st day.
2 - Is the unlimited internet for your room or the internet cafe. In other words should I bring my laptop?

Tammy - you sound like me!! Every other day or so, I'll say to Logan, 5 weeks from RIGHT NOW, we'll be............ I do think I'm driving HIM crazy... lol..
Brenda - I was actually reluctant to try the sun spray, but found a 2for1 coupon, so said what the heck. But I had picked up a bottle of the Banana Boat self tanner, tried it on leg and it seemed to work well too... No orange color and the smell was half decent. But it just seemed like too much work to me... There are actually quite a few of these spray tan places, but I had recommendations from quite a few people for the MAGIC TAN system..
Alice - I went in in my birthday suit, which is what they recommend 1) so you get an allover even tan 2) because you will get the spray on your suit.. I'm sure it will wash out, but I wanted the allover tan. I had the shower cap on but the front part of my hair peeked through as well as a few strands by my ears and it was fine - no stain and I have blonde hair. They say it will not penetrate your follicles and that it washes right out.
No makeup, or lotions or anything on your body. (I was quite a site on my way to it!!!). They recommned you exfoliate for longer lasting tan, which I did. The barrier lotion is used on palms and bottoms of feet (knees & elbows if you DON'T exfoliate); you lay it on THICK - no probs there. Yes, one tone, & depending on your skin, it will adjust to coloring, like a self tanner applied. They suggest you get your 2nd one within 4-7 days after first, and I'm not sure if you get darker or just maintain, but i assume if you have a layer of "tan" that you will get darker... I'm pleased with my results - I have a section of skin between my thumb and pointer finger that I squeezed together instead of kept open cuz I was just a little unprepared and you can DEFINETLY see the color difference!! What kind of tan is at your massage place - is it MAGIC TAN? or HOLLYWOOD TAN? I think these are the two most popular and give the best resuults... Go for it!!!!:bounce:
Kathy - I'm itching to start packing too; I have laid things next to my suitcases that I've bought over the past few weeks and plan on running my shorts/t-shirts through the wash since they've been in "seclusion" for a year! get the stink out!!
Have a great day! Cya L8r!

LOL about us being goofy enough at the goofy pool for those people to spot us! It should be VERY interesting! LOL I don't look at all like I did in that pic on the 3 circles site! My hair is MUCH longer and has different colors in it! Brown, Blonde, Red, Copper...so I look much different! It's also past my shoulders now so it grew quite a bit since that pic! I'm sure we'll be able to pick most people out though! LOL @ Silke saying she isn't red and long! It took me a second to get that!!! I have started putting stuff together and Ryan and I are going to get to work on the packing list! It is SO much work to take 3 kids for 10 days! EEGADS what was I thinking?
I'm also very glad I'm not the only Konk Kooler Virgin!
Silke I saw your pic on the 3 circles website and I don't think you look like a hobbit!
Alice--ROFLMAO at your topless experience! It is SO my luck for something like that to happen to me (and it did and does). Good job on getting the massage and wine! There is nothing more soothing that that (well there are a few things but I cant say them in here!:o ) As for bringing wine..well you DON'T want any Utah wine! I can guarantee that!! IT SUCKS! I'll just buy a bottle on the ship to bring with me!::yes:: Thanks for that Mambo song! I sang it ALL DAY LONG yesterday!!! By last night I was so sick of singing the actual song! My kids kept telling me to shut up! I'm counting on people being to trashed to notice me as well! I hate the thought of lying by the pool with my nothing's hanging out..but oh well! As for sunscreen well we bring the whole range! We start out with 45 on the 1st day, then 30 the 2nd day and down and down and down..never gotten burnt yet doing it that way! As for the internet nope not in your room..just in the cafe. It sucks but if there was internet in the room I highly doubt this would be a vacation for me since Ryan would probably have to work!
Reine--will keep fingers crossed you hear from DD soon about the cabin on the cruise! Great she got your post cruise accomodations! Now let's pray she get's you on board accomodations so you can party with the rest of the animals! LOL about you trying on the Mother of the Groom dress! I wouldn't have even dared pull it out of the closet so kudos to you for being brave! Sorry it didn't fit but oh well..another reason to get more clothes.
Saturday--I think YOU should be the Grand Poobah of Konk Kooler initiations!:teeth: My mother in law took my kids to see Disney on Ice a few weeks ago..it was the Princess one! Miles (my 9 year old son) HATED IT! McKaylee of course LOVED it and Tanner just wanted the violence so when someone came out with a sword he was all into it! LOL Have a great time! I love Disney Mania Mode! It's so exciting and fun!
Jason--I so feel bad for you having to break out the long sleeve shirts! NOT NOT NOT! The last time we were in WDW and going on the 4 day Wonder it was SO cold! It rained the day we went to MGM and it was HORRID! I thought I was going to float away!
The day we got on the Wonder it was SO cold and windy! I am PRAYING for warmer weather this time! I just looked at the Port Cam and WOOHOO only 3 more Saturday's til it's us walking onto that vessel!
Tammy--I think I'm driving my family nuts too except for me it's 27 days...26 days....McKaylee asked me the other day to stop telling her because it was still too far away! When it is down to 3 days you can tell me she said! Sorry to hear you went through swimsuit depression as well! It has got to be one of the worst times of the year for me..swimsuit time! That's when I STARTED drinking!:earseek: And now look at me..I'm a lush! Whenever I need a reason to drink (which isn't very often anymore) I just put the old suit on and after I get done gagging and puking I go drink! It's actually pleasant here today..mid 60's but the windstorm we had on Friday felt like the Wizard of Oz! It was terrible! We had several "brown outs" with the power and it blew down tree branches and all kind of crap!! It stinks when you have allergies!
Kathy--Sorry to hear you went to the show and fell asleep! I've been known to do that as well in fact I've never made it through A Few Good Men to this day! Our kids wanted to go see it but I told them they had to wait til we got on the ship where they could see it for "free". Good job on the shopping trip! Your dress sounds simple but elegant! That's my style! Although I don't dress it up much! I've started the mad packing thought process as well and have a little pile in my walk in closet waiting to be put in the cases...in 2 more weeks I'll be in panic mode!
Tracey--I do that spray on tan stuff for every vacation I go on and I LOVE IT! I've only had one bad one and that was the whole system was terrible and made me orange but the rest have all been wonderful! I plan on hitting the high pressure tanning beds a few times just to get a base so I dont fry and then the mist on stuff the day before we leave! It's so handy and much easier than trying to get tan in the sun! I think my pigment in my skin is gone anyway.
Brenda--ROFLMAO at you and the thong issue if you get one too many Konk Koolers..I'm sure I'll be there to join you!:hyper:
Well I need some food and to go get my kids! They slept over at Grandma's last night so Ryan and I could get Easter Bunny and birthday shopping done without the kids! MUCH Easier! Also had a YUMMY dinner out at a Brazillian Steakhouse restaurant and mmm mmmm mmmm it was good (and the Tanqueray Gin wasn't bad either)!
Have a great sunday!

Ok...me again!
I am freaking out a little bit here! I booked our resort stay with disney online at their website in Dec last year for POR. I was looking through all of my stuff and decided to check and make sure our flight wasn't changed AGAIN or that all was ok with my reservations. I go into the WDW resort reservation system, type in my confirmation number and it comes up saying we are staying in POFQ. Well I don't want to stay in POFQ so I started freaking out (yeah imagine that) so I call WDW reservations and I was like what the heck is going on. The girl *who I could barely understand* says that if you log in to see your reservation twice it will just automatically show you in a different hotel it's a glitch in their system but she assured me I was staying at POR...SO...should I freak out? Should I just go to POR and hope they got it right??????
I'm SO confused on what to do. I booked this through disneyworld.com for this reason! I wanted to make sure that when we arrived at 11pm on Wed night exhausted and ready for bed that at least our hotel was booked directly with Disney.
Ok thanks for "listening" to me...I guess I'll just hope for the best!

Hey Heidi, Why don't you spring for a phone call diretly to POR and verify with them. Seems like that's the best way to ease your mind and if I was showing up at 11:00 with 3 kids, I'd definitely want peace of mind about the hotel.
We're scheduled to stay at the Hyatt on Apr30 and I plan to call the week before to verify LATE arrival since our plane's scheduled to land at 12:31 am. That's why we booked the Hyatt, it's the shortest path between the plane and me being horizontal and snoring.
Jason, cool new picture. My how Travis has changed!:rotfl:
Conny, you sound like my kind of person with the lists. DH says list is a 4 letter word but part of the fun of the vacation for me has always been the planning. I currently have a spreadsheet of DCL Magic and Wonder availability so I can track the changes and a spreadsheet of all the tasks I need to get accomplished around the house. Haven't started a list for packing but it's beginning in my head. Our vacations are usually camping somewhat away from civilization so I have to plan what to take, what to eat, what clothes, etc for a week. This time with clothes only, it will be a breeze. DCL is going to be a whole different experience from tents, sleeping bags and Coleman stoves!
From what you guys have said, I'll just have to get the SPF 45 or more cause my natural skin color is somewhat ghostly. DD says she burned a couple of times the first week or two on the ship (fell asleep out by the crew pool) but DH has some Cherokee blood so DD is darker than I. I may try laying out a couple of times later this month so I won't burn so easily.
Alice, the two Curves I've been to don't have a treadmill but the circuit includes "recovery stations" between each piece of equipment where you walk/ dance/ run in place on a cushioned "platform". I figure the reason for the treadmill is to get weight bearing exercise and get your heart rate up and the recovery stations accomplish that. My problem with treadmills (an I have one at home that tends to be a clothes hanger) is that they're so boooooriiiiing. I guess my ADD responds to the changes at Curves better.
Check you guys later. Got some work to do outside since it's sunny and warm. You guys up north aren't worrying about Bermuda grass in your flower beds yet:jumping1:

Hi all!
As of today I haven't even gotten an email saying they got my email for the excursions. We emailed disney back on 5/2. We decided that we would do the Orient Beach Rendezvous on St. Maartin/ St Thomas Island Tour & Paradise Point Tramway, guess where! /Snorkling on CC. I want to see Mickey underwater!
We did all snorkling tours the first Magic cruise so we wanted to do something new this time. I'll email them tomorrow to see what's up.
Jason: What's the Day countdown Riddle?
I'm like abjenning, I look almost everyday but don't write all the time.
Thanks for the KK reciepe! I'll practice making them. Have to prefect them!!!! Anyone willing to test them???? :hyper:
As of today no docs... :(
I've started packing away stuff (that we don't use) that we'll need for the cruise so I don't forget it.
Glad you put the map of POR pool for us! We'd get lost otherwise.

Good evening Lisa--
I'm surprised that you haven't heard anything from Disney Excursions yet. Perhaps a call or e-mail will get everything ironed out.
And, here's the Disney Magic May 1st Cruise Daily Countdown Riddle even though it's a little bit late!

Good morning to all of you.
Heidi-I saw your post on the resort board, but wanted to wait till I get to OUR board to post a reply and sure enough someone had the same idea.I would go ahaed and call POR direct and if they can´t figure it out I would call every person I could come up with and call again and again untill you get a definite answer.I really hope, everything works out,I personally would go crazy about something like that.At the moment I´m beginning to have nightmares every night about what might go wrong and they change every night. The next 16 days are going to be quiet an experience.
CM_Mom-yeah I guess you can call me a LIST-person.Started my packing list last year, because it´s fun and gets me in a happy mood. Also,if I don´t have a detailed list,I´m going to forget essential things(like underwear or money),which happened before.
This sunscreen thing is not easy to figure out.I had a spf 20 with me on the working trip to the Canary island last month and although I was in the shadow most of the time I had a sunburn at my neckline and face. So,I went out and bought one with spf50.I´m a very white person and because of my cortison medication,my skin is very sensitive. In Europe 50 is as high as you can go,but maybe they ahve a higher one on board or is 50 enough?
How does this sunless tan thing work.I would love to try this, but nobody does it here.Do they have it at the spa.I think,I should do it then, otherwise everybody is going to ask me,if I really was in the caribbean or just didn´t leave my home for 16 days and just pretended to be on holiday.
Are there shaded areas around the pools or on deck 10?I can´t sit in the sun very long, but don´t want to spent my time only on deck 4 and miss all the fun?
And my docs haven´t arrived yet, another reason for nightmares.
I WANT THEM NOW!!!!!!!!
Oh,and Heide,my sister is a hobbit,at least at heart, very big fan of LotR.She did attend the first two conventions and knows everything.
I´m keeping my fingers crossed about the POR room problem.Keep us up to date.
Take care

Good Monday to everyone (is that possible to have a good Monday if you aren't on vacation?) Anyway....
Reine--good idea about calling POR and they confirm that we have a reservation though I still don't feel much better because she shows that the reservation was transferred from POR to PORFQ and back to POR. I guess we'll just live life on the edge. Coming from Utah we are 2 hours behind the E. Coast so we will be arriving at 9:00 our time which isnt TOO late for the kids...so I will just keep my fingers crossed, print out the confirmation I received from Disney and pray! I have a list that is 2 pages long SO FAR! LOL I love list making! I feel so much more in control! I think Ryan thinks I'm a freak but when we go we hardly ever need to buy anything we left at home. I'd definitely start with the 45...you can always work your way down to a lower number if you want!
Lisa--I haven't received one thing from DCL about our excursion on St. Thomas..hopefully they have us down. I may call them today if I get ambitious! I'm up for testing your Konk Koolers! I'll try anything once (except fish!) LOL. Hopefully all of you will get your docs very soon!!! I've started getting stuff together and throwing it on the bottom shelf of my walk in closet. Soon I won't be able to walk in there! LOL The countdown riddle is that pic of Mt. Rushmore and you try to figure out how it pertains to the time left on the cruise. Hope that sounded right!
Jason--the riddle..the only thing I can think of is there are 4 presidents and 4 weeks til we board the boat (or that was about the time when you posted that pic) if not I have NO idea! I'm stumped!
Conny--I think we will be ok..if not I'll throw my "temper" into full force (hey my grandparents were German...I can get mad quick) and see what happens. I'm sure it's fine but if not then they'll have to upgrade me to the GF Concierge! ROFLMAO! I'm having nightmares as well about things! I've left all kinds of stuff home including my family...aaaahhhh somedays I wonder why my brain has to think like that!!! Only 22 days for us after today...wow...amazing we are almost into the teen digits! I would think 50 would be enough but if not I have a ton of Aloe Vera and some SPF 45, 30, 15, 8, 4 and no spf! LOL You can always borrow! As for the spray on tanning I don't know where you can do it in Florida. Most of the places around here that do it are either Tanning Salons or higher end spa's. I know how you feel if you come home from somewhere tropical and you are still white! Happens to me all the time!!! I hate that I don't tan very well if at all!! I'm sure you can sit on deck 9 at a table and be in the shade but in the action. LOL about Silke being a hobbit and a fan of LOTR! I can't get into that for some reason but I do love Harry Potter! I can't wait to meet everyone...it's getting SO exciting!
Lisa I have no idea if they pass or not. I read on the boards something about they pass but I'm not sure when or where...sorry!!!
Silke--LOL about drink's and 6 meals a day! That's why I am starving myself now so I can eat all those meals! haha!! My picture I sent in is old as well and I probably look like a hobbit now as well...but oh well...we can all be hobbits and get drunk together!:teeth:
I'm off to continue my packing list!

Well, non-vacation Mondays are usually not much fun for me either Heidi but the great thing about this Monday is that it means we have one less weekend between now and our cruise!!!
Close on the riddle. I was actually aiming for the 26 days left until our cruise being represented by Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th President. However, the 4 presidents and 4 weeks works out just as well! :D
Silke--
Glad to see that I'll be sailing with another LOTR fan!!! I read the books when I was little but had to re-buy the book when the movies came out. I also bought the DVDs. They did such an amazing job on capturing the essence of the story and the special effects of the movies are outstanding. We'll have to talk more on the Magic! :)
Lisa--

Hi All,
Well I spoke to my TA today and I finally have a room assignment. I didn't get an upgrade but who cares. I'M GOING ON A DISNEY CRUISE!!! I will be in cabin # 6004, which I know nothing about but who cares. I'M GOING ON A DISNEY CRUISE!!
Now I am just patiently waiting for my cruise documents. If anyone has info on that room let me know. I will post again later but don't think I am not thinking about you. Can't wait,...Allison
PS Jason, You really need to talk to Travis about the lies he has been telling. It is so obvious in that current pic of the 2 of you. He must have been drinking Konk Koolers in Pleasure Island. pirate:

Allison--WOOOHOOOO congrats on at least finding out your cabin number! Guess what...YOU ARE ONLY 10 CABINS AWAY FROM US!!!!!!!! WATCH OUT FELLOW PASSENGERS ON THE 6TH DECK!
Love your attitude about just being on the cruise!!! You KNOW we are going to have a blast no matter where our cabins are!!!!!
We leave in 3 weeks..holy crap....I have so much to do and SO little time! (I wish I had less time actually as today has seemed to take for flipping EVER to get to 5 pm)
LOL about Travis drinking Konk Koolers..it is either that or the Guavaberry Colada's...
ONLY 26 days til Saturday when we are on board!! ONLY 26 more days!
Jason---I know what you mean...this saturday means only 3 weeks until we sail! Who would have thought 215 days ago that we'd EVER get to this point????? OH I didnt even think about Roosevelt...stupid me! OH well it was fun trying to figure it out!
Off to make BBQ Chicken for dinner, then Yoga, fear factor, and whatever else pops up!

Hi Folks!
I am on the April 24th 7 day western cruise. I have made a big, laminated Dis meet banner that I thought would be fun to hand off to the next Dis crew going on board.
What do you think? I know we leave the boat before they let ya'll into the port so I don't know how the hand off would work, just thought it would be fun for others to use and not have to pack.
Let me know if your interested!

What a cool idea!
I'm wondering if your Dis group could take a Sharpie fine point marker and sign the banner with their screen names and/or real names. Then, our group could do the same and hand it off to Goofyguy1958's group!
We could see how long this could go and how many Dis members sign it!
I'm betting that if you left it at Guest Services with one of our group members names they would hold it for us.
How cool! :hyper:

Howdy Fellow Cruisers -
I'm taking a break from making the iron ons for my DD's pillowcases for the cruise. I tried this yesterday, but dumb me printed the transfers off and forgot to check mirror image. So another trip to Walmart for more paper and I'm set. If anyone wants a pillowcase let me know, I have one extra and would be glad to bring it along. Even my 14 yo DD is excited about doing this.
Yesterday we made swimsuit coverups (large t-shirts) with a picture of the Magic along with several Disney characters.
We also went to see Disney on Ice - Mickey and Minnie's Gamical Vacation. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Daisy all came out in their tropical outfits - boy talk about getting me in the cruising mood. Now if only they sold Konk Koolers at the show I would have been set:bounce:
To all you list makers - my name is Tammy and I'm a list maker too. My packing list is 4 pages long, but 2 of them are for clothing and I have a list for each person. That wat the week before I cut them apart, hand them to each person and they gather the items listed. I then review the list as I pack everything into the suitcases.
My extra list is already completed and packed along with the toiletries case ready to go.
Heidi - glad to hear you survived the wind storm - good luck with your POR reservations. The only thing I'm worried about is our limo not coming to pick us up on Saturday morning. Guess all I can do is to confirm the day before. Shh, don't tell my girls about the limo - they think we are driving the rental car to the port :hyper:
Tandy - way cool about the banner - hopefully you'll be able to work out the swap.
CM-Mom - any word from DD about the cruise
Take care everyone!

Thanks Tandy what a great idea. You too Jason with the e-mail/signature idea. It's so cool we have goofyguy1958 all set for the following week.
Tandy - so you already had a room assignment and they notified you of an upgrade? Or did you just get your doc's? Did you by chance use points for your cruise?
Allison LOL I totally did not get it. I was thinking of the picture of Jason and Travis on our cruise web page and I was like whoa big dis and then I scrolled down and caught the other picture and anyway I am still laughing.
Katie way to badger Jason keep up the good work.
We have good news we get to keep the things we bought on Saturday and Sunday (except for maybe the dress that Linds bought that makes her look like she's got a JLo bootie goin on) I'm pretty sure we don't have enough money for that one:D .

Tammy, no word from DD yet about the availability. As of Saturday AM it still wasn't posted. I'm becoming almost obsessive about checking DCL website (DH is in stitches..but he's so laid back). As of 5 minutes ago they still showed Cats 4,5,6, and 8 for parties of 2 or 3 so I know there are at least 4 staterooms available. We only need 2. This morning they had cat 9 and 11 also and then it changed. DD mentioned that as TAs release the staterooms they've reserved, they become available for the crew. As I said earlier, I'm not going to PANIC until there's NOTHING available for several days. We'll have a wonderful time whatever but the cruise will be cheaper and more relaxing than spending 10 days in Orlando and WDW, etc. Besides, I want to hang out with this bunch at least a little bit. Thanks for asking and all the prayers and positive thoughts.
Now if we get ressies and end up on Deck 6 it would be a hoot. From what I understand, when DD can book the cruise, she won't know what staterooms until we actually arrive at the port. This is one vacation where flexibility counts.
Alice, glad the tax man didn't ruin your vacation. Know that's a load off your mind.
Katie, the folks on this thread like Mickey and his friends at least as much as you do. We'll be sure to let them all know you and Michael are coming.
Heidi, I sent you a PM chuckle. Glad that POR knows who you are. At least they changed you BACK.
Bought some bedding plants at WalMart last night and planted them after work today. Daylight savings time is great for some things. We're finally beginning to reclaim our back yard from the ravages of the 120 pound dog our DS brought with him when he moved in for 6 months last fall. Thankfully, we have our empty nest back. I'm becoming selfish in my old age!
Check you later

Well add my DH to the LoTR fan club, he's read all the books and although they are great movies, I just can't handle the "in detail" talk! I'll definately be enjoying a Konk Kooler during any discussion of LoTR onboard!
We are on Deck 6 also! I'm beginning to think it's a DIS designated area-- maybe it's so we don't scare the Disney newbies (can you believe there are people out there NOT totally consumed with Disney?? Poor souls!!).
Disney on Ice was great the other night, Jungle Adventures was really good --but dthouge, sounds like you had a better cruise warm-up with Magical Vacations!
Jason, we're totally with you on the Konk Kooler Kampout at the port. I'll bring the Disney Trivia game and a nearly 6 year old who can entertain us with renditions of several Madonna songs (the only person he loves more than Mickey Mouse is Madonna)! ::yes::

Ryan found out today that he probably in all likeliness not have a job between this month and October! I really need some prayers and Pixie Dust sent this way that he will be able to get a new job before this one is ended! It's such a scary position to be in right now...the unknown and the volatility of it all!
Ok..that's enough of the sad stuff...just if you have extra time pray that the lead he's been working on for awhile will pan out soon!
The sign thing sounds really really cool...that's a great idea!
Travis--Ryan has been known to watch 007 movies so he might talk with you about it all! I am not a fan of "fake" action movies where everything is so unbelievable but I still watch them!:p
Tammy--The pillowcases sound cool! We did a beach towel for Kaylee and Tanner last time and it was so much fun! They even used them at CC and got lots of stares and questions about where they "bought" those. LOL Disney on Ice sounds like A LOT of fun! I agree that they need to sell those drinks at ANYTHING Disney just so you get the Caribbean feel! LOL I was roflmao at your list making! I do the exact same thing! My kids each get a list (except Tanner he's too little) and then I re-check and check again to make sure everything is on it as I throw it into the suitcase! I think the best thing is for me to use the ziploc bags for their stuff...then I pack it, know it is there and don't have to hear the "MOM I can't find any socks, where's my underwear, I don't know where my shorts are!" The POR thing I'm sure will be just fine! I'm WAY nervous about our Limo coming to get us as well! I guess if worse comes to worse we'll head over to MCO and do Disney transfers from there and add them to our sign and sail card! Who is your Limo with???
Kathy--I think someone knew we were all together and rowdy so they decided to mostly screw up one deck instead of all 7! LOL
Alice--great news on the tax man and getting to keep most everything you bought!! That is awesome!!
Tandy--WTG on the upgrade! That is wonderful for sure!!
Reine--who knows with the job thing the way it is Ryan could lose his job today and you could have our 2 connecting cabins....it's unknown if we will make it for sure at this point or not! We may have to lose the money but at least we wouldn't be spending extra on WDW and hotel and all of it. I hope we don't but right now it's not certain about anything so don't despair...you may get our 2 connecting rooms. I read your PM just haven't had time to respond! ROFLMAO though!!! Great about getting the plants. My front yard is a disaster and I don't know how we are going to get it fixed. We face West and our house is WHITE so it just fry's everything near it in the 100 degree summer sun. Glad you finally got your house back and the doggie got moved! I don't know what's worse the digging and wear on the grass or the dog poop.:teeth:
Conny--really hoping you get your docs today or tomorrow! I would be stressed out beyond belief by now...I think you are doing a good job keeping it together! I just hope we can still meet up at the pool at POR! Hey and if you are in 7014 you better be darn quiet because from what I can tell you are just above my 2 rooms! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :hyper:
Amber--ah yes another deck 6'er! AWESOME!!! They are going to rue the day they put so many of us on the 6th deck! :earseek: ROFLMAO at the Madonna lover in your house! I was once a Madonna Fan Club president (in my early younger stupid years!) lol
Tracey--Glad you popped in to say hi! You can just hang out with us in one of our rooms or if Reine ends up getting my 2 rooms you could probably hang out with her!!
Well I'm off to have another nervous breakdown and then try to clean my house and do some laundry!

Good Afternoon Everyone -
Just checking in before my hour long drive to soccer practice :bounce:
Tracey - Glad to see someone else will be on deck 2. I was beginning to think my family was the only ones there.
Heidi- sorry to hear about the job. We'll keep your family in our thoughts and prayers. Hoping that Ryan finds something soon and that it all works out. I have Tiffany towncar booked for the Limo to the port, then a van from the port to the All Stars then the airport. I did schedule my pick up early enough that if they don't show up, I can call.
Alice - glad to hear the tax thing worked out for you.
Conny - keeping my fingers crossed that those docs arrive SOON.
Take everyone,
Tammy

Travis--Ryan has been known to watch 007 movies so he might talk with you about it all! I am not a fan of "fake" action movies where everything is so unbelievable but I still watch them!:p
I'm sorry to hear all that. I'm sure everything will work out. I'm dealing with the same thing now also. Not knowing is the worst. It's always in the back of my mind. We still don't know anything, although a lot is taking place....

Thanks to all of you for your support! We are NOT going to cancel this cruise under any circumstances (says Ryan) and he was pretty much guaranteed a job until October so we have that long to find employment for him. I think it is possible to do this. He actually has an interview on Friday so dang you guys are good!:teeth:  :earsgirl:
Tammy--sorry to hear you have to do the hour long drive to soccer! If I drove an hour I'd be in Wyoming! LOL
Oh your limo company will be there I'm positive. It could be worse you could be going through a NO NAME company like ours! LOL I actually called the BBB on them and they have good ratings and good customer reviews on the website. They are Southern Elegance Limousine and I am praying that they are reputable enough to come get us. We got a $250.00 quote from POR to the port and back to MCO which was the cheapest we could find (hopefully being cheap doesn't bite us in the butt) but we shall see! If not we will have one expensive taxi ride! LOL
Travis--Thanks for the kind words! I'm feeling more positive about it now that he has an interview with a company who he knows someone who works there and is pulling for him and also that his boss told him he for sure had a job until October at the earliest. Yeah he's a big movie guy and actually went to college to be a film major but then I got pregnant and the dream ended! LOL I hope you get something figured out on your end as well!!
Jason--Thanks for the well wishes!! As for the riddle...I'm brain dead but the only thing I can come up with is that the number 48 is cut in 1/2 on the license plate which means 24??
Off to fix dinner and GET WASTED ON GIN!!!:teeth: :teeth: :teeth: I've earned it right?

Heidi I am so glad you guys are not cancelling the cruise. I'm in flux too and I know how hard it is to lay out this kind of cash when things are uncertain. But I know you'll all have a great time and come back refreshed and re-energized! Unless of course we cause TOO much damage to deck 6!:crazy2: Wish there was an angel smilie to show how angelic we are-- yeah right!!
Cruise shopping officially started today for me, I stopped by the Disney store for Easter goodies and all the beachwear for kids were out. Aack! I went crazy!! Gotta break it to the kid that I spent his Madonna ticket money on swim shorts and beach towels!

Hey Heidi, Ryan, Travis, Saturday,
Just thought I'd give a word of encouragement. I work with a Job Search ministry as part of a team that ministers to 30-50 job seekers each week. We're seeing people land almost every week now, last week 3 people. The job market is DEFINITELY picking up. My DS received a call from a headhunter last week, the first since April and we are hearing of recruiters who have job orders to fill which is extremely encouraging. If anyone wants to PM me with an e-mail address, I'm be glad to send you some of our materials. We don't find folks jobs but we do teach cutting edge strategies to help folks in their search. Most of all, you will all be in my prayers that God will draw you closer to him as he helps you find your next position.
Now for the brag: Check out this thread http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=5260152#post5260152 and read the "We loved Robyn" post. That's MY DD. Glad I have a knit top on today, if I had a button up shirt, I'd have popped them off.
No word on ressies yet. The choices are shrinking but I hope that means they've pulled some off the website for crew availability. The Good Lord knows what we're supposed to do, he just hasn't told me yet. Maybe DD will give me a call from St. Thomas tomorrow.
Heidi, so glad to hear about Ryan's good news and glad you're staying with the cruise. We wouldn't want the rooms through someone else's misfortune. That would spoil the fun.
Sounds like deck 6 will be rockin'...but ANY deck is a good deck on the Magic.
Till tomorrow -- yep, I'm hooked on the boards whether we get to go on this cruise or not. Since DD loves her job, there will be other opprortunities if this one doesn't pan out and she gets a discount at the parks too.

Good morning everyone--
Well, I'm happy to report that I think I'm officially "done" with all cruise-related shopping! Last night I purchased a memory card for the digital camera, film for the 35mm, and a new flash for my SLR online. SO, for now at least, I can't think of anything else I need to buy. Let's hope it lasts! :D
Reine--
What a great thread about your daughter! I've always believed that it's the Cast Members that help to make the "Disney Experience" and it sounds like Robyn has that Disney Touch!

Happy Hump Day to you all!!! Only 21 days until we will be on an airplane heading toward Sunny Florida!!! I cannot wait to leave home for awhile. Today is Tanner's 5th birthday and boy do I feel OLD now! My baby is 5. So we have a really big weekend ahead of us with his real birthday today and then a little birthday party on Friday, Ryan has to work all day Saturday and then Easter on Sunday. The kids are off from 2:00 pm today until 9:00 am on Wed the 14th. EEGADS what am I going to do with them home and much more limited internet time???
Alice--Thanks for the offer! Today is another day and I feel much more calm and at peace about it all. I can get back to my cruise giddiness and feel ok about it again!
Jason- Congrats on being finished with your cruise supply list! I just need to get some last minute stuff like film and I'm going to put disposable cameras in the Easter Baskets along with some airplane toys and some sunglasses so I still need to get that stuff and some travel size stuff but other than that we are DONE! I have printed out all the confirmation numbers from Emails, phone numbers and even the dining rotation matrix (thank you SO much by the way).
Amber--I think going WILL be the best thing for us! We aren't telling the kids anything about the job problems so just watching them enjoy it will be great! I am feeling more confident today after his late interview appointment last night and the talking to his boss and other higher up's yesterday afternoon that they assured him he would be gainfully employed for sure until October and if the S&P upgrades them the prospect for longer is great!
AAHH the 6th deck...what a rowdy place that is going to be! Especially it seems a lot of us are at the front part of the 6th deck...we can all puke together going over the gulf stream! LOL Too funny about notifiying son that you spent money NOT on Madonna but on "ron jon" LOL. I went and got Easter stuff too yesterday...bought them each a bucket because everytime we tried to get one last time we went they were out so we bought buckets and I think by the time I got done buying some sand toy for each kid I'd spent about 60 bucks so this time we are bringing our own! I'm going to fill it with mostly stuff for the cruise since my kids don't need extra candy to make them sick and if they each get one more stuffed animal they won't have room in their beds for themselves! Hope you can find some stuff for Easter for your ds!
Lisa--Glad to hear that the riddle explanation wasn't confusing! Thanks for the job support! And another 6th decker..how funny! You aren't too far from us then because we have 6024 and 6026! I haven't gotten anything from Disney about my excursions either! I guess I should get on the phone and call and make sure and ask them to email it to me. Hope you get your docs today!
Reine--The IT job market here is SO SLOW for what Ryan does and the amount of money he is making now it's limited to only about 15 jobs posted right now! I think things will pick up! His current job got a 40 million dollar lawsuit against it, investigated by the FTC for charging fines that they now say they can't charge and their ratings by Moody and S&P dropped. The ratings are coming up, the lawsuit is paid up and I think they have stopped the "bleeding" and are now trying to heal up. They are getting rid of a LOT of the out of state entities (which means less travel for Ryan :teeth: ) but I think they just are cutting costs so much it may be hard for them to keep the company above water! Cool that your son got contacted by a head hunter! We will keep him in our prayers as well!!!
Cool thread about Robin! I read that and thought "Yep and she's going to be on OUR ship!" LOL
Hope you hear from DD soon about availability! I need to call the excursion desk to find out if they do in fact have me down for my excursions since I have received NOTHING in the mail! Better to let the kids down gently at home and have them melt down than at sea in the company of others!
I'm hooked to this board as well (if you can't tell) I need to go to several self help meetings such as AA, Packing list makers are us, Dis board addicts who can't get anything else done during the day, obssessive planner...and the list goes on and on!
Conny--Unless something HUGE happens in the next 21 days we will still be there for the meet at the POR pool!!! Ryan said we were going because the whole thing is paid for except the POR stay, tickets to WDW and the limo so I guess we are going! I'm getting excited again:hyper: and I was just kidding around with you about being quiet! As long as you aren't doing aerobics up there or anything *wild* it is great!pirate: I will so keep hoping that today you get your docs! I get my kids home now with me for 7 days...oh yippeeee! Mom I'm bored! It's overcast, cool and rainy here and that's the rest of the week's outlook..can't wait!
Well I guess I will go hurry and clean my house up again so I can sit here all day and referee fights from the computer room!
3 weeks...3 weeks...3 weeks!

Heidi - so glad to hear things are looking up for Ryan. I'll keep my fingers crossed for him that things will work out - and also for the others on this thread who are having bad luck with work!
And Happy Birthday to Tanner!!!! I had to register Logan for Kindergarten yesterday and that made me realize how much he's growing up!!!!!! My baby isn't a baby anymore!!!!!!! :( :(
Tammy - Yippee! Deck 2 neighbors - its funny, I was starting to think DS and I were the only ones on Deck 2 too! I think you guys are about 1/2 dozen rooms down from us on the right side! :Pinkbounc
Alice - Congrats on the tax outcome!! Good feeling, huh?? Now, here's hoping you get your docs!!
Reine - very nice post about DD - you must be soooo proud!!!
Another list maker here - I'm onto 3 pages and its just me and DS!!
And, I am also a LOTR fan too, but only for to see Orlando Bloom!!!! :lovestruc lol.. I guess I'm also a 007 fan (for Pierce, of course!!)... lol...
I'm also finished with my shopping (at least I think so). Went and got my final few things this past weekend, so i think I'm all set!! Woohoo!!! Now, just can't wait to start packing it all up!!
Well, fingers crossed for those still in need of cruise docs - here's hoping they come today!!

Tracey--I know the feeling about your baby going to school. I registered Tanner for Kindergarten about 6 weeks ago and then had to get his Kindergarten shots and I about threw up realizing #1 he was going to get 4 shots in one fell swoop and
#2 he was going to be leaving me for 1/2 days for a year and then full days from then on.
It is kind of a kick in the pants to realize that! Then to top it off that day I registered him for Kindergarten I found 3 gray hairs so I had to go get my hair colored to hide them!LOL
LOL about being on page 3 of your list...I'm on page 6 for my family so I can totally relate!! As for 007 that is the ONLY reason I have EVER watched them is because the Bond character is always some really suave good looking man! LOL :o
Pierce Brosnan is mm mm good! I can't wait to start packing since I can no longer walk in my walk in closet due to all the crap I've just thrown in there on the floor waiting to be washed, ironed or put into our suitcases! I get butterflies in my stomach just thinking about leaving!!!
Well off to watch Cheaper by the Dozen with Tanner and then finish cleaning my house for his family party! It's going to be a movie weekend for us! We got that plus Second Hand Lions which we LOVED and then Intolerable Cruelty and Something's gotta give! I have to do SOMETHING while Ryan works and the weekends on here are so slow!!! :teeth:

LOL about the gray hairs Heidi!! I've been dyeing my hair since I can remember, that I probably wouldn't even KNOW if I had any or not!! Of course, my hair will probably be falling out in a few years after all this dyeing!!!!!!
Unfortunately, with being a single mom, Logan has been in daycare since he was little, so we are both used to the fact that he's in a classroom/group setting already for most of his day. That part was hard for me about 4 years ago, so that will be the easy part... and I know he will enjoy it; he just loves preschool now and being with his friends so I'm sure he'll do fine.. Its the bus ride thats got me concerned, but again, thats one of the things he's looking forward to too!!!
Anyway, sounds like you guys are gonna have a nice weekend.. that actually sounds like a good idea - grab a couple movies and have a movie weekend!!

Tammy and all, thanks for the comments about Robyn. I really am very proud. Her assigned age is 3-4s but she is really flexible so they've asked her to work the 5-7s three different weeks. For you guys, unless we get to go on the cruise, you'll miss her since her contract ends on May 1.
Robyn called from St. Thomas at lunchtime today. So far no postings about availability. I can understand that DCL would rather sell the cabins to full fare passengers rather than discounted crew. When I checked DCL just now, they still show availability for Cats 5,7,8,9,11 for the Magic so the doors not shut.
I SAID God has a sense of humor.
Just heard DS come in the front door for one of his infrequent visits so check you guys later.

Hi everyone!
I used to post to the boards all the time, but lost my log-in name and have been reading instead of posting for the past few months. But now that the time is growing so close, i just had to re-register and say hello!
We are sailing with you on the 5/1 Magic cruise and i am so excited i can hardly contain myself!
My group is: Jen/me; Joe/DH; Teddy/DS (6); Madalyn/DD (4)
We are also travelling with 2 other families ...
Kristi/DW; Eric/DH; Bradley/DS (4); Adam/DS (2) and
Terri/DW; Chris/DH; Jordan/DD (8)
A portion of our group is hoping to SCUBA dive sometime on the cruise. Not sure where right now. Playing with the idea of Coki Beach simply because that will be much easier for the rest of the group since we will all be able to go to the beach and relax while the rest are diving. :)
One of the families had wanted to do the Anguilla Dolphin Encounter on St. Maarten but it was booked by the time they called. :( We tried the web address listed in the Passporter for "On your own" but it didn't work, so if you have any information on that, we'd greatly appreciate it!
DH and I are playing with the idea of doing either the Golden Eagle Catamaran or the Lotterie Farm Hidden Forest Tour on St. Maarten. DH wants to do the Catamaran, but i am not a big snorkeler and am worried i'll be bored. I'd like to do the Lotterie Farm tour but DH doesn't like the idea of hiking. So, not too sure what we'll do.
And a few other pieces of info: we have first seating and are on deck 6 mid-ship.
Have a wonderful day!

HELLO everyone! 1 more day closer until we leave! It's getting beyond hysteria here...It's pandamonium! The kids are out of school until next Wednesday now and of course the weather turned to crap with rain and a high of 45 today and the rest of the weekend. I shouldn't complain about the rain but can't it just rain when the kids are ALL in school???
Tracey---I've been highlighting my hair every 6 weeks since I was a SR. in High School and just in the last year or so I've been coloring it all and doing highlights. The gray hair depressed me so now I budget in hair coloring every month! LOL Tanner goes to preschool twice a week for 3 hours a day and I LOVE my alone time. I don't know how I'll feel about being home everyday alone but I'm sure I'll manage! Happy Weekend to you and that's great you don't have to work tomorrow!
Tammy--I know how you feel...I have so many things I SHOULD be doing but I sit here day in and day out! I just want to PACK and it's still to early so I don't want to do anything else. Did you read my tag?? LOL I'm glad we won't have to cancel as well since I've been planning this for 200 + Days!!! It will be fun and we feel much better and more financially ok so that's good! I think deck hopping would be A LOT of fun!!!
Jen-WELCOME To the board and to our crazy bunch of people! It's awesome someone else is going to be joining us..the more the merrier!!! We wanted to scuba dive as well but that would mean bringing one set of grandparents and NO WAY was that going to happen again so we are just going with the flow! I love to dive and would do it everytime if I could. DId you try the dolphin fantaseas website?? They are in Anguilla and here is their website addy (and I know it works) http://www.dolphinfantaseas.com/
They may still be able to help you out! I agree that the snorkel trip might get a bit boring for you if you aren't big into it! We are spoiled with diving now and snorkeling is just something we "do" when the kids are with us! I can't wait until they get old enough to certify as well...then we may sell everything and move to the Caribbean for good! LOL WOOOHOOO another 6th decker! That is awesome!!!
Reine-Glad DS came home for a visit! I hope you hear something from DD about going soon! I can't believe they haven't released any rooms yet! I can't believe anyone would want to book now the prices are SO high for most of us. Will keep fingers crossed again!!!
Silke--LOL at you promising to be good! I DON'T promise to be good!!!:teeth: But I think we are talking about 2 different things!
WE LEAVE IN 20 DAYS!! WE LEAVE IN 20 DAYS!! LOL....It's taking all kinds of self restraint to NOT go start packing!
Well off to Walmart to get the Ziploc bags (only place around here that carries the big ones) and then to the tanning salon for 20 min. Tanner is going to preschool..YEEHAW and the other kids are going to my brothers house for about an hour!!
Take care and someone write in something so I have some reading material again when I log in later this afternoon!

WOW! Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! And i can't tell you how happy i am to have found people who are just as excited as i am and who do as much research as i do!!! (the rest of my group has been mocking me for a full year now!)
Jason, I e-mailed you my family's info for the ************ website. What a terrific idea! Your matrices are terrific and the links look like they will come in handy!
Tracey, my son Teddy is excited at the prospect of meeting Logan on the cruise. We are also in Maryland. Teddy is finishing up kindergarten this year and is excited about moving on to first grade next year (not sure if i am ready for that or not)! But i just registered my daughter Madalyn for kindergarten, too. Where does the time go?
Heidi, how are you able to keep this a secret from your kids??? LOL My children and I are talking about little else. And my kids are in heaven after seeing all of the other children in their age range! Thanks for the link. I had tried it for most of the afternoon yesterday and couldn't get it to work. Thankfully it is working today. I sent it to my friend who is hoping to find a way to do it.

Jen--Yep we are a really fun over planned group! LOL I think I posted the first post at 219 days until we leave...200 have gone by and yippeeeeeee...only 20 more til we leave! I can't wait to get to the warmth of Florida!!!
As for keeping the secret..we..uh...blew it! LOL We told them at Christmas because they hardly got any presents as most of the $$$ for presents went to the savings account so they could buy stuff on the trip. When they opened their presents they were looking at us with the "what that's it you cheapskates?" so we did a treasure hunt and they found out Christmas night. Of course the original response from them isn't quite what we expected! LOL
Yeah there are a lot of kids of all different ages going which will be really fun! Your Madalyn must be close to Tanner then! He just turned 5 yesterday. I am SO ready for the Kindergarten break. My oldest are only 16 months apart, then we waited until they got pretty self sufficient, potty traines all that jazz and had Tanner when Miles was 4. I feel like I've had kids hanging on me for so long that I am looking forward to being able to go to the grocery store without a child hanging on me begging to buy just one more package of M&M Mini's! LOL
Well I'm off..gotta finish scrapbooking the LAST Disney cruise from 2 years ago! Only 55 pictures left to do! ROFLMAO!

LOL Heidi ... you sound like me!! Teddy and Madalyn are 17 months apart and I am still working on my scrapbook for each Disney trip listed in my signature!!!! I actually spent several hours last night trying to clean up my scrapbooking area so that i could get back to work on some of those pages! Madalyn will be turning 5 at the end of August but often acts older than Teddy who turned 6 at the beginning of March.
And LOL ... i don't know if i could keep the cruise from the children for as long as you were able to! After our last cruise every time a DCL commercial would come on the tv, my children would whisper to each other "One day, we're goin' back there!" Once we booked this cruise i couldn't wait to point out the commercials ... "Look guys, that'll be us in a year!" LOL

I just got on my email (cause my life is so addicted to these boards) and I got an email from Cathy at Dreams....WE GOT UPGRADED (which means Reine..you might get our old cabins) to 2 adjoining family suites with verandahs! HOLY CRAP!!! I am dying!! We are now in 8504 and 8506 (WAAY at the front but I don't care).

Ok now that I've come back down to earth after a really stiff Gin and Tonic.....
Jen--LOL that you did the 17 month apart thing! I hated the thought of it at first but it was really nice that they always had a playmate. I scrapped for 8 weeks straight every day last September to get all caught up until our cruise in 2002 and so I have the boys done I just need to do McKaylee's (and she had the most since she had her pic taken with every freaking character and princess possible) and then I will be done! I hope just in time to come back and start again! LOL
Keeping the secret wasn't that hard at first because we were so far away from going. Listening to Tanner ask every day..do we go tomorrow? made the process easier to hold back. Now it's constant how many more days? How much longer? So I'm glad we waited for at least as long as we did although keeping it until maybe Easter would have been even better for the kids. It's good for them to get excited about it early though I guess. Now I'm constantly OH LOOK there's the commercial, oh look here is the DVD we ordered, Oh look here's the cruise book..and on and on and on! LOL
Well off to have yet another stiff drink to keep the emotions in check! LOL

Jen--
Well, with only a short 22 days until our cruise I didn't want to wait too long to make the addition and changes on the site. :)
I was trying to tell from the picture but it looks like your first Disney cruise was on the Wonder, is that right?

Jason--Way cool you already did the changes! I am *quoting my kids here in language* like so totally psyched!:teeth: You rock! I'm still trying to comprehend the upgrade thing! I am not kicking a "gift horse" in the mouth but I sure hope that being that far forward isn't going to make the sea sickness worse! Oh well...more gin to counteract it right?? ROFLMAO! We were pretty far forward on the 6th deck but not 4 doors from the front!
Now I'll have room for some "visitors" on the balconies! LOL
Jen--isnt that site the best?? It will be so awesome to know faces with names when we get on board!! I'm very excited you are all joining us!!

Yep Jason, we went on a land-and-sea trip in June 2002. We stayed at PO Riverside for 4 days and then did the 3 night cruise on the Wonder. DH's family does a lot of cruising and was with us on that trip. My mother-in-law said she thought it was one of the best cruises she had ever been on. She was impressed with the attention to detail. DH and i totally agreed. In fact my mother-in-law was recently talking about taking the family on another 7day Disney cruise in another year or two (keeping my fingers crossed that it happens!)

You have inspired me to get my rear in gear and work on some of my Disney scrapbooks! Sometimes i just look at the pile of pictures and don't know where to start, so i move on to scrapbook something different. But now I am motivated!! I just hope it lasts! :)
Having Teddy and Madalyn so close together was tough at first, but now i love it! They play together nicely (for the most part) and can do many of the same activities. And it should be easier for them to go to the Oceaneer's Club knowing that the other one will be nearby.
Off to scrapbook,

Wow - what an exciting day it has been:
Congrats Heidi on the upgrade - boy can we party hearty in your room now!:hyper:
Conny- congrats on getting your docs. Boy the music/video shoot sounds terrible. Sorry you had such a rough day, but now you can relax and read those little books:bounce:
Jen - welcome to you and your group. Glad that you have found us. I also scrapbook - sounds like we might have to meet to share ideas on scrapbooking our cruise. We are doing the Golden Eagle Catamaran excursion as well as Jason and Travis I believe. I don't snorkel either (feels like I'm going to drown), but I figured I could just swim during the snorkeling stop, so I hope that you join us. We are doing the morning one.
Heidi - curious - do you do separate scrapbooks for each of your children for your vacations? Always curious how other do there books. I do family scrapbooks for vacations and holidays and then each DD has a book with things that relate strictly to them. Our Disney books are my favorite. I have our trip from last year compelted, but not the year before - go figure.
Have a great evening everyone.

We'll be there! We too booked the morning excursion as Tammy mentioned.
My favorite part of the description of the Golden Eagle Catamaran excursion from the Disney Shore Excursions book is: "Light snacks and an open bar are included."

Jen--Glad I inspired someone! I haven't yet done what I was going to do....instead I've been nursing my tanning bed burn *did I mention I am a baby when it comes to sunburns?* and then I had to fix dinner and play referee! I hate when the kids are home for an extended vacation! The kids being close is exactly why I love McKaylee and Miles being close in age. They are 1 year apart in school but will be in the same age group on the cruise. They are for the most part best friends which helps!
Tammy--Thanks! I definitely plan on bringing my Bombay Saphire Gin with me and having some very nice drinks on the balcony and anyone is welcome to join in (but it's byob) As for the scrapbooks...I have 1 for each kid and just chronicle their lives in age order from baby to present. I need to get a new one for McKaylee since her's is much bigger (being a girl and the first grandchild on one side means LOTS of baby pics). I thought about doing just a vacation one but that would be too hard to keep up for me..putting them all in one binder is easier and takes "less"motivation! LOL
OOH Jason--darn too bad I didn't see the open bar..we probably would have booked that excursion as well! LOL Oh well..I'll just have to get sloshed another way!:teeth: ::yes::
Alice--Thanks about the upgrade and I SO hope Reine and her family will be able to come aboard! Glad you are off tomorrow! I don't work so I sit here and just soak in the excitement which may be detrimental to my mental health in the long run:crazy:
I went tanning today and got fried. I am SO miserable and the Aloe only helps for about 20-30 min and then I'm back being miserable! I guess it's better to be miserable at home than on vacation right??? LOL about the Cpt. Morgan and Diet Coke! I have a few gin's under my belt!!
Well off to watch survivor!

Hi all!
Congrads Heidi on the upgrade!!!! Lucky you!
Welcome to JenLynn
nice to see Conny doing the docs dance:jumping1:
For all you taking the Golden Eagle trip It's a real nice tour! DH Bill, DS & I did that one on our 1st cruise. The open bar is nice. The captain let our son steer the boat. The snorkling was okay but there was at least 2 other boats at the island doing the same thing. So there was alot of people in the water. The little island off St Maarten was cool to explore. Lots of old plane parts. It was a airport during WW2. We loved sitting on the front of the boat & getting splashed by the waves while sailing. The only problem with that was the food got wet( small club sandwichs)& the drinks get watered down.. REALLY watered down!! :earseek:
Well one day closer to DWD & Magic
Have fun all!

Hi! I see that your daughter Brenna is close in age to my daughter Madalyn! Are you taking your children on the Golden Eagle Catamaran excursion? We aren't able to bring Teddy and Madalyn because Madalyn is too young (by 3 months ... phooey!). Just talked to DH a bit more about it and i think we just might do the Golden Eagle Catamaran with you (depending on availability, of course).
And as for the scrapbooks ... I have one day-to-day set of scrapbooks that i make for our family. Then there are special books for specific trips and events (each Disney trip, Teddy's school book, Madalyn's school book, etc).
Heidi --
OUCH! Sorry about your tanning burn ... i've done that before, yuck! Hope you are feeling better.

Hi all, I agree with Alice, I don't look for 24 hours and there are almost 3 more pages to read.
Heidi.:jumping2: :jumping2: :jumping2: Way cool about the upgrade. Here's hoping we get your old rooms.
I just looked on the DCL site and they were still showing cats 5,7,8,9,11 then went backed and checked something and the availability had changed to 8 and 11. Paul (DH) says they are messing with my mind. I'm reminded of the old (60's?) song Que Sera, Sera, whatever will be, will be.
With all of you talking about children and kindergarten and looking at the ages of Jen and her family, I think I'll feel like a grandmother. Oh well, might as well enjoy other peoples little ones since it looks like DS and DD are too busy to settle down and raise families.
Had a nice short visit with DS. He came by to pick up a package from his sister. She sent him a really neat candle she bought for him in Key West with a wolf on it, just his style. We really don't see him much for someone who lives less than 5 miles from us but since he's almost 28 I really shouldn't expect to see him much.
All of you will have to just look at my lily white legs. I'll put lots of sunscreen on and try not to burn. What I'll probably do is blotch. But I have been going regularly to Curves so maybe the fat won't jiggle so much.
Conny, :cool2: :jumping2: congrats on the docs. Now you won't have to wait over the long weekend.
The only thing I can say to having kids close together is it might not have been such a bad idea. Our two are 3 years apart and with girls maturing faster than boys we had BOTH of them going through puberty at the SAME time. It was in INTERESTING year---NOT.
Jason, glad you're keeping the site up with pictures. I'll send you one when we get our ressies.
Have fun all of you who have tomorrow off. I have to work but we're going to our cabin in East Texas with my Mom for the weekend. Oh gracious, how many pages will be posted by the time I get back Sunday night. I have great plans: sit in a rocking chair, watch the fire if it's chilly which it's supposed to be, work on my cross stitch, read and do absolutely nothing constructive except rest and relax. Not a good as a cruise but WAY cheaper and much closer (100 miles).
I don't do scrapbooking but I cross stitch. Currently working on two projects, an Heirloom Nativity set that's called Heirloom because you'll have grown heirs before you get all the pieces finished and a picture of Taos Pueblo that's taking some time since it will be about 12x18 inches when finished.
I'll try to check the thread before we leave. Here's hoping that I have news from DD about our cruise to post. She says she checks regularly.
I apologize if I forgot to greet someone but the thread is too long to check while I'm typing.
Check you guys later

Lisa--Thanks! I couldn't believe it when I logged into my outlook and voila there it was! I'm still VERY nervous about being so far forward but oh well..more meclizine never hurt anyone right?? LOL
We're only doing the doubloon sail and snorkel in St. Thomas...so hopefully we won't regret it!!!
Jen--thanks to some serious gin drinking, some aloe and alot more gin drinking the burn isn't hurting as badly! LOL:teeth: I think I will just have another one, some percocet, or some ambien and go to la la land hopefully to wake up tan tomorrow!::yes::
Reine--I know..I can't believe how many posts were done today! It was awesome for me checking in every 10 min! LOL
I looked at dcl and they show for 2 adults 11,9,8,7,5 still available! Hopefully the answer will come soon! Forgive my spelling errors..the gin is kicking in!~ You can be grandmother to my kids! They'd love it! Cool ds stopped in and dd sent a candle just his style! I'm hoping I don't jiggle much either since I'm killing myself in yoga!
Ok off to get more sloshed and then to bed!

Sorry to hear about your sunburn, thats why I don´t go to this tanning studios,I would have one after 5 minutes.Do you know this ALoe first aid spray, works miracles put on first and then the jelly afterwards.
I think it´s great for the kids if you had them so close together(hard on the moms, though).Silke and I are only 19 month apart and the older you get,the better it becomes.
Now I need some help from you experienced cruisers.I have some questions .
1:departure information card
We have a rental car reserved from AVIS and take their shuttle to their office.I don´t know the model or any more details,do I have to fill the part with CAR out or leave it blank?
2:Bahamás Immigration form
What date of arrival do you put init and what do you note in section 2?
I don´t want to make any mistakes,so any help is highly appreciated.
Only 12 more days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Conny--
I'm not too sure how to answer your question about the rental car form. Perhaps your travel agent could answer the question or you could call Disney Cruise Line direct and ask them.
Your Bahama form should reflect the date during which we'll visit Castaway Cay. That is, May 7, 2004.
Also, if you leave any blanks for questions you're unsure of, Cast Members at the DCL terminal will gladly help you out.
Doesn't it feel GREAT to have your docs!!! :Pinkbounc

I tell you, I don't read the boards for 12 hours and it takes me 1/2 hour to catch up!
Well, I'm enjoying a day off today too like Alice.. It wasn't really planned as all of my other coworkers are working, but DS school is closed today, so I had to take off (rough life)....
Heidi - CONGRATS!! That is sooooo coooll.... Glad you got the upgrade; i know you're psyched!! Can't wait to party on your balcony!!!! lol.. just kiddin ya.
Jen - That is so cool you're from MD - where? Logan is excited to meet Teddy too as well as the other kids.. LIke Heidi said (i think it was her..) there seems to be quite a few 5-6 year olds!! I'm sure they'll all get along fine! Logan turned 5 in February. Love the name Madlyn - when I was preggers the docs told us we were having a girl... well, we had that name picked out!! Of course when they yanked HIM out, we were in shock as we hadn't had a boy name picked out!!!!!!!!!
Conny - cool about your docs!! Glad you got them before the holidays!!
I must say, after all this talk about scrapbooking, I'm extremely inclined to start when we get back!!! I am sort of a crafty person, but for some reason (lack I time I guess!) I didn't get into it. But, I think I will try, so thanks to those that do that talked about it!!!!
I think I'm going to go back for the Spray tan thing the Sat. BEFORE we leave and then that Monday before we leave.. That should tie me over til I can work on a REAL tan on the ship!!
Off to play!! A lil chilly and overcast today, but we're gonna follow HEidi's lead and go grab some movies. We're also gonna dye some eggs today!!
Have a great one everyone!

Happy Friday to all! Only 3 more and most of us will either be there or on our way....how exciting!!
Conny--Feel free to stop by for a G&T anytime! We may be hurling off the balcony with the waves but oh well...we can just blame it on the Gin right??? I always burn the first time in those stupid beds so it isn't new to me but I am always still a huge baby about it too! I figured I would much rather get burned at home than on vacation so hopefully this will keep me from getting fried on the ship. I don't have any aloe spray just the gel but it's getting better! I didn't sleep too badly until about 5 this morning and then I was hurting so I took a 1/2 of one percocet and slept better because it took the sting out. The tanning bed burn is so much different than a regular burn it's weird. As far as your question goes you can always just fill in the car when you get it and then you will know what make and model. I personally think that card is weird to have to fill out because why do they need that stuff?? I think it's for marketing is all it is to see who does what after a cruise. As for the Bahama form..I'd leave everything you don't know blank. It would only take a few minutes to fill in the missing fields with the help of a DCL rep. We got those type of forms going to Cancun last year and I was ripped on the plane going down there (go figure:teeth: ) and I don't think I filled most of it out right but nothing was ever said they just looked at my passport and made sure it matched my name on the card. I'm sure you aren't the only one to not know how to fill it out...I only have a little bit of them filled out and will probably leave the rest until we get there.
Tracey--LOL about not checking for 12 hours...I think I check it every 12 minutes! I'm excited about the balconies as well and you can feel free to come party on it anytime!!! We may be hurling off the side but oh well right?? LOL I need to get back to my scrapbooking but the percocet made me feel "funky" this morning so I probably won't get to it until tomorrow since we have another party for Tanner today at an indoor amusement park type thing. LOL about being pregnant thinking it was a girl and it was a boy! That has to be such a shock. That happened to me but it was all while the baby was in-utero! Good idea on the spray tan thing! If my burning sessions don't eventually tan me I will be spraying on as well! It's yucky here again today with high temps in the 50's and another expected crummy windstorm:mad:
Kathy--AWESOME you got the big upgrade as well! That is so cool! It will be quite a walk for us to go from front to back! Walk off some of that extra food:p
Jen--hope you have better luck tanning than I did! LOL I'm going to be ok after today I'm sure...it's just at that really crappy stinging phase where it is annoying. Didn't get a lot of sleep last night but some of that is blamed on the upgrade! The amount of kids is great!!! Your night sounds like fun!~ glad you got your Catamaran booked!! Only 3 more weeks!!!
Reine--I don't know if you'll read this or not today but I was farting around on cruise.com for my parents (they are going to Alaska) and I did a search for our cruise on Disney through them. They show
6 - Category 11's still open
2 - Category 9's still open
2 - Category 8's still open
2 - Category 7's still open
and 1 Cat 4 still open. That's almost 40 cabins still available and I couldn't believe the prices they wanted for the remaining cabins. I can't believe anyone would pay that much to sail but I'm sure some do. I think these cabins are one's that maybe cruise.com hasn't released back to DCL yet so there may be even more available.
Well off to do some cleanup in the yard. It's my streets turn for County sponsored dumpsters along our road and we don't have to pay for using them so after last weeks windstorm I have a TON of branches needing to be hauled away!
Hope to check in in a few hours!

Wow, we finally got our Doc's:Pinkbounc
I called DVC this morning because I was kind of worried they might upgrade us (I like our deck and location) and 1/2 hour later the big brown truck pulled up rang and run. I don't know if he was running for fear I would kiss him or the big mouth dogs would eat him LOL. Doesn't matter because we are official,
deck 5 cabin 5128 :hyper:  :hyper:
We want to order 1 of everything from the little gifts book.
That's great Kathy. It's going to be hard for a lot of people to get good sleep tonight.

Tracey - I had the same thing with Linds. The Dr. and nurse kept saying boy for sure, no doubt. Poor thing came home from the hospital dressed in blue. Wow that was a long time ago. Our whole company is off today, which I think is really, really nice. Hope you enjoy the day.

So, has anyone actually started packing yet????? I have all my stuff in nice neat piles, but haven't put anything in suitcases yet. I may start this weekend, but I am afraid everyone will think I am nuts!!

Trying to bump up the number of pages on this thread just because I can! LOL
Alice- WTG on getting the docs! That is awesome!!!!:jumping3: :cool1:It's such a relief to get them!!! I would imagine the UPS guy figured he'd get this by you :love2: Now you can settle down with some wine and read through them time after time after time! :teeth:
LOL about wanting to order all the gift stuff. I was going to order my kids buckets filled with stuff from the Perfect Gift but then got cheap and decided just to do Easter Baskets out of buckets instead! LOL what if I hurl downwind?? I may just be doing the hurling being that far forward...guess time will tell. I hope you don't get burned like I did! I was doing ok but now it hurts again! It bugs me but I know what you mean about being pastie white! That's where I am as well!! Of course now I am a nice shade of magenta:rolleyes:
Linda--Glad you checked in! I was wondering about you since we hadnt seen you for something like 3 or 4 pages! I'm glad to know you are right in the middle in case I need to puke or rest! :crazy2:
It's awesome that you like to scrapbook (hence the scrap happy title?) but I am NOT looking forward to coming home just to do books..I want to stay on the ship for a LONG time!! LOL I plan on taking 100's of pics with the digital so it will probably take me 10 years to get them all done! I can't find our postcard...I'm so bummed! I haven't actually started packing but I do have a suitcase in my closet now (I was using just the floor) and have thrown misc. stuff in there that I can do without until we need to really pack! I plan to start the weekend before we leave and then pack every night until the 27th. I'm an overpacker so I usually end up repacking 10 times and taking out and putting back in until I'm ready to scream! LOL
Hope you have a great Easter as well....for us looks like rain and snow for the rest of the weekend and cold and windy! Good time to just stay home and watch movies I guess!!
Conny-Glad you got your answers from your TA! I plan on filling out the kids stuff maybe this weekend but I don't know yet! LOL
Ok--well I'm off once again to nurse this stupid burn and get ready for the birthday party nightmare to begin!

No hurling allowed, gang!! Especially on the Golden Eagle Catamaran which we will be on as well-- hooray!!
I have started packing, causing DH to try to get me on meds for OCD:crazy: I'm not crazy-- I'm DCL crazy, there's a difference!!
I was wondering if maybe some of the kids in the 5-7 range would like to have a kids meet in the club/ lab? Maybe after they get to know each other at the DIS meet they can arrange to meet for an activity or a movie in club?? Whaddaya think?

Yeah Alice - Congrats on getting your docs!!!!!:yo-yo:
And Kathy - Congrats on the upgrade! That is so cool that a few of you are getting one!! Although I'm sure we'd all love one, its great to see others get them!!!!
Jen - Yep, scrapbooking store in Millersville! Its funny, after you mentioned that, i've been trying to figure out ALL day where that dang store could be.. Well, went out for Wings this afternoon and wouldn't you know it was right next to the place!!! Wandered in and did some looking - positive first step right?? Lol.. such COOL stuff in there... I think once i get back from vacation and have a plan, I'll definetly be stopping in again...!
Heidi - thanks for the "party anytime" invite!! Lol... Hope your sunburn starts to feel bettter.
Linda - glad you popped in!! Well, I unstacked my suitcases today and laid them out and put a few things inside, but thats the extent of my packing.. Not that I don't have a dire urge to start, but I gotta be realistic here.... ;)
Saturday - I think that sounds like a good idea!!!!!!!! ::yes::

Just a quick note before we head out of town. Heidi, thanks for the info about the remaining cabins. DD says that they usually get availability in cabins the travel agencies release so there's hope. Have you guys seen the thread that the May 8 Magic is SOLD OUT. Glad we didn't schedule our vacation for then...besides we wouldn't get to correspond this bunch and ya'll are fun.
Maybe DD will have good news tomorrow morning.
Oh about the packing, I'll probably wait till the last weekend. That's typical since I now need to go throw some stuff in a duffel for the weekend.
Check you guys on Sunday. Everyone have a Blessed Easter.

Happy Friday!!
In three weeks, we'll be basking in the warm Florida sun. I can hardly stand this waiting :bounce:
Jen - So glad you'll be on the Catamaran with us. It sounds like a blast. All three of DD's will be coming along. In fact they are the ones who choose this excursion. I know Brenna will be glad to meet your Madalyn. Lots a little fellows in our group, not many little princesses princess:
Reine - My older two DD's love to cross stitch. They just started about a year ago and I'm very impressed with their ability. I've tried it before, but with no luck. I'm not crafty that way. I planned on getting them a new kit for the airplane ride to Florida (that is if they aren't swamped wiht homework) :hyper:
Alice - congrats on getting your docs :D
Linda - I think I have a suitcase in each room and piles everywhere. I want to apck, but everything I get something together, someone decides they need it. So I guess I'll wait another week or so.

Well, it is 11:30 here and our cruise group just left a little while ago. It was nice getting everyone together; the excitement is building! I gave the 2 other families both the link to the DIS boards (and this thread) and to Jason's site and they may be adding their info too. One family has an 8 year old DD and the other has two DS's (ages 4 and 2).
Kathy, Well it sounds like we are in a similar situation ... my 4 year old DD thinks she is at least 6 (wants to be like her brother). And i am thinking of ordering something for the kids from Shirley at A Perfect Gift. Also, it looks like we are going to Coki Beach and Coral World on St. Thomas, but are hoping to get a transfer through the dive shop on the beach. But i hope we'll see you there!
Lisa, so happy you got your documents!! Isn't that a wonderful feeling!?
Reine, good luck getting on-board. Keeping my fingers crossed for you! (and i am also a former teacher, though i am hoping to return to the classroom next school year).
Tracey, That is a great first step!! But watch out ... scrapbooking is addictive. Once you start, you never look at paper, stickers, or photographs the same way again! :)
As for packing, i have my lists organized and there are piles of clothes in every corner of my bedroom. Am hoping to do some shopping tomorrow to finish up a few more things.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Happy Day -
I was dusting the computer and ended up sitting down and coming here. Oh, the excitement is building - we are now down into the teens.
We are still tweaking our plans for before and after the cruise. I really want to do MK the Saturday we return. Anyone have any thoughts on whether we should or not and why? If we don't go, I know I'll kick myself for being so close and not going. If we do go to MK, I want to have a van pick us up at the port and take us to the All Stars, but if we don't fo MK, then we'll rent a car and stay at HIFS - such decisions. I'm driving my DH nuts
Kathy - we are also planning on doing Coki Beach, but not Coral World. We would interested in sharing a taxi. There are 5 of us.
Lisa - congrats on getting your docs. What a nice holiday present.
Pages ago we talked about getting together for the bruch at Palo's - is anyone still interested in doing that? I know my DH and I are planning on doing this?
Off to have Easter pictures taken of my DD's at the Picture People and hoping they turn out better then the ones at Christmas.

Kathy I feel your pain -
Alright I'm starting to get ticked. My replys are getting lost & this is the third time I had to write.
I'm afraid to type more than a thought or two because it has happened several times (uh duh) on long posts and it ticks me off big time.
Anybody want to try to meet at the Gym in the mornings??Come on... Any takers??
I plan on being there each morning "plan" being the key word here.
Anybody ordering a gift baskety for the room?
Definitley the Bon Voyage (petit fours & chocolate strawberries) w/ the Fairy Tail Cuvee (or White Star) Linds is definitely getting the Chocolate Tower (she gave up candy, cake, ice cream, pop and basically anything with sugar in it for lent) I tried to talk her out of it because I think there will be plenty of desserts on board but she looks at the picture and her eyes just glaze over:tongue:
Definitely getting flowers either the Spring Blossom or an arrangement from A Perfect Gift. Linds wants the Fruit & Cheese Plate but I told her we would wait and get it for the 2nd day if she still wants it, and we are leaning toward the Bon Voyage Stateroom Celebration.
Sorry about your DD not feeling well, but better now than on board. Linds isn't feeling well either but that's from getting a Hepatitis A, and Typhoid shot for her upcoming trip to Honduras.
Yeah Lisa - we got ours the same day. When I called DVC that morning to ask if they new if we had gotten an upgrade he said the only way to get an upgrade is to pay the $75 for a resv. change. If you want an upgrade you might call 1st thing Monday and ask if that's an option.
I'm sorry to say no packing going on here. We have a new puppy and anything left on the floor is fair game to her - the little stink. I really should get a list going though - unless one of you professional list makers wants to e-mail me one of yours.
Well, I better not tempt fate and hit the Submit Reply because I AM NOT typing this one over.

Good morning, er... afternoon everyone!
I can't believe it but I slept in until noon today! With the end of the semester, and my entire graduate program, finishing up in two short weeks I'm finding myself inundated with things that I left until the last minute! Bad, bad Jason! :jester:
Alice, you've been quite busy this morning! ::yes:: Sounds like you're all set in the stateroom gift department. And, I have to admit, that Fairy Tale Cuvee will be calling my name all the way from Deck 5! It's actually one of my favorite champagnes and, in my opinion, is just as good as White Star and Pommery. (Can you tell champagne is probably my favorite adult drink?) Just look for the dinner table with Fairy Tale on it everynight and that will be Travis and me. :p In fact, that bottle in my fridge is calling me now... No, have to save it for graduation!
Lisa--
Congrats on the docs! We're doing the Doc Dance with you! :Pinkbounc
Ryan--
Glad to see you made it to the boards! From what I understand, and I don't know much about the whole JB phenomenon, Travis says you're correct!
Jen--
So glad to hear that you and your fellow-cruisers had a nice time. I hope to see them on the Dis soon!

04-10-2004, 02:57 PM
Happy Saturday to everyone! I'm alone today while Ryan is at work so I will probably post a million things out of boredom!
Tracey--You can come to our balcony at anytime! The kids won't use theirs much unless we can open the divider otherwise they will have to be with us. I don't trust Tanner not to jump over the railing or something crazy! LOL The sunburn is getting better but I am such a baby that I still feel it and whine about it.
Reine--DUH I'm so "blonde" (brunette LOL) and didn't even realize what I'd done til you pointed it out! I suck sometimes! LOL Math isn't my greatest skill...but DUH! Hope you hear from DD soon! As of this morning there were still 10 cabins available (yep I'm sure it's 10 this time) they were 6055,6053,6101,5001,2528,2530,7010,7500,5632,and 5138. Hope you had a good weekend!!
Kathy--Sorry your replies are getting lost! That ticks me off so bad!!! LOL about finding who's in between...I think Linda (scrap happy mama) is the only one in between us. Their cabin is 8038 and she's about as in the middle as we get on the 8th deck so watch out Linda...some drinkers are heading your way! LOL ROFLMAO about you wanting to pack now to drink instead of pack later! I KNEW I liked you!:teeth: That's what I'm talking about! LOL Sorry you won't see me at the gym! I work out every morning Mon - Fri and do yoga every night 7 days a week. The LAST thing I want to do is the gym...so I don't know who will be there with you just know it isnt going to be me! (Ryan may join you since he's a bit of a psycho workouter) LOL Sorry to hear about the amoxicillin for DD! That stinks!! I hope she is feeling better now that she's on med's! If we didn't already have the Doubloon sail and snorkel planned we probably would have split a cab with you! St. Maarten we are open though :sunny:
Lisa--AWESOME :Pinkbounc :bounce: on the docs! Sorry about the no upgrade :( but hey at least you are on board right??? And you are on board with us alcoholic partiers!:p Does your hubby like massages?? I'd give him a massage from the spa if he does! Or you could always do the Surial Bath (gets pretty dirty err muddy in there) or contact Shirley at the Perfect Gift and have her make him up something that he is really interested in...like a sports basket or a romantic basket with massage oil or something. (I know for Ryan a romantic basket would make his DAY! LOL The promises implied..well.....you get the picture) LOL
Jen--Glad you had fun with the families! Hopefully they will pop in and say hi also! We'd love to "meet" them beforehand!! If not..well it's THEIR loss right?? LOL Me and McKaylee are going shopping for some last minute shirts for me. I just looked at my shirt selection and decided it was awful so we are going to go find me some SOMEWHERE! Then we have to go get eggs to color for the easter bunny and maybe go get her hair cut if we have time.
I walk into my kitchen to get something done and gravitate to the den instead! LOL Are you talking about doing WDW the Saturday we get off the ship and staying in Florida for that whole day and night?? If so I'd do it in a heartbeat! When we went on the land/sea last time we added 2 days on after the cruise to do the parks again. The best decision we ever made I think! We stayed at POR and did WDW and AK/Epcot! It was fun!! I wish we could have added time on to the end of our trip as well but it's Mother's Day that Sunday and since both our Mother's live around us it would be kind of bad to miss it! I'd just get a WDW room and go for it! But that's my opinion! The Palo brunch sounds nice but I hate to commit for fear that one of my kids (mainly Tanner) won't stay in the clubs while we do the brunch, the palo dinner and some of the night stuff they can't go to. I may be pushing my luck! Hope the pics turn out great!!! I'm saving all my picture taking moments for this trip! LOL
Alice-Ouch about DD getting those shots! They suck! I hate getting shots! Honduras sounds cool though!!! AAH your puppy sounds cute! What kind?? We have a kitty...but I think she's bulimic! Drives me crazy! She threw up on my digital cable receiver and shorted the da** thing out...so I had to go get another one from the cable company. Try explaining that it's cat vomit that did it! LOL It took every ounce of strength I had in me to get Ryan to post those few words! Don't count on him getting involved much in the posting part..but get a few belts down him and WATCH OUT! LOL He's pretty quiet for the most part until he makes a fool out of himself the first time and then all bets are off!
Jason--cool you got to sleep in today! I slept until 9 (but that's usual for me! LOL) but it felt good! Glad to hear you are almost done with all of the school stuff!
Well I'm off to take the boys to Ryan's mom for a few hours to play with my nephew and McKaylee and I are off to do some "girl stuff".
I'm sure I'll post more when I get back!

Tracey and I are doing Palo's Brunch and Dinner so Linds is going to get in line for that resv. while I get in line for Vista Spa. I would love to do another brunch if somebody wouldn't mind adding me to their resv. party. I would be happy to add anyone else to our resv. if anyone wants to dine at Palo's an extra time. I would also like to do the Tea, but Tracey doesn't want to push it with time away from Logan and of course Linds isn't old enough, so if there ends up being a group doing the Tea add me if you don't mind.
Conny we are going to lose contact with you and Silke for a while pretty soon. How are you going to get along in WDW without us all:jester:
And, I have to admit, that Fairy Tale Cuvee will be calling my name all the way from Deck 5!
You guys are more than welcome to come down and help me drink it. I will definitely not be able to drink it all. I was really happy to hear that you can order a bottle of wine at dinner and they will cork and hold it for you for the next dinner. This means I'll be able to drink good wine during dinner instead of something I'm not as crazy about by the glass - I'm totally excited about that. I ordered a bottle of Perrier Jouet to bring with but for some reason the supplier hasn't been filling the order. But I still have a couple of weeks.
AAH your puppy sounds cute! What kind??
Well she sure thinks she's cute, the little terrorist. She's (CC short for Chili Cheese) a miniature Dachshund. She weighs 6 lb. and our dog Omega (Chocolate Lab) weighs 106 lb.. You are cracking me up with your cat story, maybe she got into the Gin.

Hello all--
I just wanted to share this with you all. When I was working at Publix, many, many eons ago ;), i grabbed this little display when they were done with it.
It's basically a countdown clock. It has been sitting in my laundry room counting down to our May 1st cruise since I returned home from our last cruise in August.
I like the current number it displays! Only 20 days!!!
http://www.knology.net/~jwoodrum/countdown.gif
I have it callibrated to match my countdown clock on the Dis Boards and the PC Countdown clock too. So, as you can see, wherever I am in my home, I'm surrounded by countdown clocks!
JenLynn
04-10-2004, 11:02 PM
LOL Jason .... I love the countdown clock!! And that is so funny that everything is calibrated to be in sync! That is something that i would do!!
And a question for everyone .... I am thinking of making a sign for our cabin door ... is anyone else doing this? Any great ideas floating around that i can steal? ;) I already read the thread on the main cruise board, just looking to see who here is planning on making a sign too.

You will most certainly have to try Disney's Fairy Tale Cuvee! It's scrumptious! You can only purchase the champagne at Disney properties around the world (i.e., Walt Disney World, the Disneyland Resort, Disney Cruise Line). Thankfully, we live close enough to Disney that I can keep a supply in stock in my fridge! :teeth:
Onboard the bottles run about $39.00 but at Disney we can get it for about $28! Many of the restaurants at Disney even have it by the glass. The last time I had it was on Thanksgiving at the Brown Derby at Disney-MGM. Hmmm... Maybe that bottle in the fridge will just have to be opened today. :hyper:

Hello all,
We are back from East Texas and normal Texas spring weather. It was 80 and sunny yesterday morning. Then about lunch time some of Heidi's damp and chill blew in and it dropped to the low 50s. That prompted us to all take naps. When we go up we built a fire and listened to the Rangers win a ballgame. Today was a drizzly 51 so we just built a fire and relaxed with books and cross stitch.
Talked to DD yesterday and still no news. She called this afternoon from Key West to get birthdates for GMA and AM (our abbreviations for grandma and aunt) so I know she was completing the paperwork for cabin requests. Now we WAIT ..... AGAIN ... STILL.
Heidi, thanks for checking out the available cabins. At this point we're not picky. I told DD, either two cabins or one that can sleep 5 would work.
Conny the smiley was hilarious. Thanks for the chuckle.
Jen, glad your group got to spend some time together before you go. It's always easier when the kids know each other.
I know there are some other things I wanted to comment on but I had 2 1/2 pages to read and I've forgotten half of what I thought of while reading.
Hope everyone has completed their shopping and is almost ready to start packing. I'm beginning to stack "Cruise Only" stuff on the guest room bed so I won't forget it. I'll get my list completed this week and then just need to get the stuff together. Only thing that's left to shop for is Teva type sandals. Found some for DH but haven't found any for me yet. Since it's supposed to be cold and damp tomorrow night, that might be a great time to shop. I stll have yard work to do when it gets warm again.
Check you guys out later.

Happy Monday to all of you! Hope everyone survived Easter! At our house it was a crummy crummy weekend and so I'm glad to have it all behind me now! NOW I can look forward to the cruise again! Ryan worked ALL DAY LONG on Saturday from 10 am until 9 pm straight. Needless to say I hated being a Single Married Mom of Three (tracey I don't know how you do it even with just one...kudos to you!) and then of course he got ANOTHER speeding ticket (just got one in December and now another one) so it looks like traffic court is in our very near future once again to keep it from going on the insurance again! Yesterday was nice but dealing with family and holiday's stinks!!
Conny and Silke--I love the smiley you were looking at! It was really cute! You guys HAVE to be in the single digits right?? I can't remember what day you leave! I'm so excited...one week from today and I will be in single digits as well!! So much to do so little time!!
Jason- Thanks for the tip on the champagne! I haven't ever tried GOOD champagne only crap so I may have to try it! That is why I "graduated" to G&T because all the wine and champagne tasted like crap!!
Reine--Sorry to hear you got our crummy cool weather! It is FINALLY nice here again today so the kids can play outside and in the hot tub and get out of my hair! Ryan is in a golf tournament today so it's good the kids can be occupied outside! LOL The fire building and napping sounds nice though!!!
I checked the cruise.com website and they list the following cabins STILL available
6015,5013,5001,2528,2530,7010,7500,5632,5138,8010 and 1 Guarantee on deck 7. Hopefully they open it up to crew and families soon and you are on board!!! The thread went nutty in the last few days! sorry if you had to play catch up! OH well something to do right???
I've got EVERYTHING sorted out..just need to iron, wash and pack! Got last minute stuff this weekend while Ryan was gone to work so we are all set! 16 days from today I will be getting ready to board an airplane!!
Ok..off to check the hot tub chemicals for the kids, clean and eat some left over easter dinner!

Good afternoon all!
It's rainy and windy here in Tampa Bay. Almost got blown off the causeway bridge coming home from class!
I can't believe that there are still cabins open this close to the cruise date. I would have thought that they would all be booked full by now.
Hmmm.... I'm still hodling out for a Florida Resident Rate but somehow I don't think it's going to happen this time.

My Monday just got WAY better!!!! I just got home from work and checked my voice mail..... and OMG..... we were upgraded from cat 4 to cat 3!!!!!! My head is spinning I am sooooo excited I can hardly stand it!!!
Wow, seems like our group has really been blessed by upgrades!! Our new room is 8548, still midship, but starboard side instead of our old 8038. I was starting to get a little concerned about if the five of us were going to be a little cramped in the Cat 4 and then this happened!!! whoooo hoooo!!!!!!!

Hi all, I'm just home from work and Curves and DH is watching Simpsons so I can post in peace. I'm not really a Simpson's fan but I think it's his favorite show and they've been on long enought that it comes on at 6:30 every night.
Jason, can we have our cabins before you get your FL discount? Pretty please. As of a minute a go DCL showed cats 4,5,7,8,9,11 available. Maybe some of the TAs are releasing their rooms. The May 8 Western is completely sold out and has been for a week so I'm glad we're planning to go on the May 1 cruise.
Heidi, thanks for checking. I couldn't get the Cruise.com site to work the way I wanted it to. Our weather is supposed to improve but our resident Garden Guy sent out an e-mail alert to the folks who subscribe to his webletter with a frost warning for north and west of Dallas. We have a fire in the fireplace here at home tonight. Probably the last one of the season. My only problem is that the computer isn't in the den where the fireplace is. I guess I'm going to eventually break down and get a laptop and a wireless lan. Too cheap so far.
I think I just heard another e-mail alert so I'll post this and then check the thread.
Happy Monday.

Hey Linda, Great news about the upgrade. Maybe that means the cabin you left is now available. I hope, I hope. It's going to be interesting to see where we all end up since they're on a upgrade mania.:boat:

Don't worry, I'll be happy to wait for Florida Resident Rates until after you guys get your cabin! ::yes::
Somehow, I think that all of these upgrades will mean good things for your group. Lots of open cabins is bound to lead to Cast Member slots.

Hey everybody!!!
'Sorry I haven't replied in a while, but as I said in earlier posts, I NEVER miss anything that is going on with all off you. I can't wait to really meet everybody on the ship.
I picked up my documents today!!!!

Looks like everything is smooooooth sailing for the Jennings family!!
We didn't get an upgrade,... but no big deal because the room we are going to be staying in will be awesome (#6004). I went on a cruise with my DM in Nov 2003 and the sq. footage was 108'. It was a great cruise, don't get me wrong (NCL Majesty)!! I mean how do you think I talked my DH into going on a Disney cruise ? my DH didn't go on the NCL cruise with me ( 108' sq. footage) This room on the Disney Magic will be huge!!!
We will be staying "forward" on the ship. My DH is a former commercial long-line fisherman and boat captain, so HE won't be getting seasick, although I have been known to. I am so excited because DH swore I would never get him on another boat (ship, whatever). I know he is going to have an awesome time.
Anyway,.......
Got my docs!!!
BTW Heidi, I could turn you on to some really good wines!!!
Can't wait to meet everyone,............Allison

OK I'm going to type fast so I don't get kicked off...Here goes:
Hello all. Hope your Holiday was Hoppy!:)
I'm trying to catch up so just a breif note to some of you.
Tammy: Hope to see you at Coki. Don't forget to check out the web site for the coupon.
Alice: Yes IPLAN on the gym. PLAN is the key word. If I idrink too much I won't feel like doing anything.(except drink & dance and act stupid) As of now I'm trying to think of a reaso I should skip tommorrow morning.rolleyes:
Heidi: I saw your thread regarding pillows. I can relate. But the way I figure it ... you just have to have another G&T and you won't care who has slept there before. When I meet you ask me to tell my Key West/Islmorada story. Its real gross!!:(
Reine: I still have to believe you'll be there. Patience. We still technically have two weeks and four days. Anything can happen:
Linda:
Good thing you're still mid ship. We still need that 1/2 way point on Dec 8.
Allison: And your cabin will be just huge if you're used to 108 sq. Ft.
Hope everyb0ody is still as excited as I am.
Travis: Any decision on the dis meet yet??
Can' t wait to princess: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:
Have a good week and see you all soon:wave:

Happy END to the Monday 2 weeks before we SAIL!!!!! Only 15 days for us and we will be on an airplane right now almost ready to land at MCO!
Linda--OK NOW YOU got the MOTHERLOAD of upgrades! The party just got moved from my 2 adjoining balconies to your SUITE! You have to let me check it out just because you have one and I doubt I'll ever know anyone who has one again (even figuratively!) but that is awesome!! I want a Cat 3 just to get Palo and spa ressies before we leave!!! Like Kathy I'm glad you are mid ship still as well as we will definitely need a place to stop for another "beverage" on the way from her balcony to ours!:teeth:
Reine--Good for you on coming back from Curves! I need to get back into the Yoga thing again. I didn't do it while I was burned and now I'm just SO not in the mood!!! I may do some tomorrow morning (may is the operative word there). I see Cruise.com still has the same cabins available basically so there is serious hope that the TA's are FINALLY releasing their cabins! I will keep praying you are on the ship! Our weather here is glorious!! It was 68 today and supposed to be near 80 tomorrow with sunshine which will help the LAST day of Spring Break for our kids go faster for me! I wish we'd get some frost just to kill the stupid weeds that have infested our front yard. We bought some drought resistant grass but didn't get it in soon enough last fall to germinate all the way so we are stuck with 1/2 our front lawn with terrible weed infestations! We have a wireless internet on Ryan's laptop and I had it on mine before my mom blew up my laptop! LOL It was nice but I still hate laptops for the most part!
Allison--Glad to see you check in again! I've been wondering where all the people are. I assume Belle and Rella is in Las Vegas hopefully looking for my bra ;) and there are few other's we haven't heard from in forever like Lisa, Brenda, Teri, and a few days from Alice. I hope all is going well with all of you "lurkers" today! I know all about the small cabins and the DCL cabins feeling like a suite! I wouldn't care if I was in the luggage hold as long as I could be on this cruise with all of you! I can't wait to have you turn me on to some great wines! Bring it on! I haven't ever had a real taste for Wine or Champagne but that's because I've only had White Zinfandel (ewww) and gross cheap Champagne! Please turn us on to some good ones and then I'll pray to be able to get them here in the non-drinking capital of the world! LOL
Kathy--LOL about the pillow thing! For some reasons pillows just gross me out beyond thought! I saw some really gross stuff in the hotel business on sheets, pillows and blankets. It really turned me off on staying in a "public" bed! I will make sure to remember to ask you about your Key West gross story! *note to self ask BEFORE I eat anything substantial!* I'm as excited as you are! Only 2 more weeks and it will be packing nightmare central!! LOL
Well I'm off to put the kids to bed, watch Somethings Gotta Give before I Have to send it back and then pass out in bed!
Have a good rest of the Monday night!

Onboard the bottles run about $39.00 but at Disney we can get it for about $28!
Jason can I buy it at DTD on Friday night and bring it on board Saturday morning? I'm still going to have it delivered to the room the 1st day so it's cold (and we love chocolate covered strawberries)
Kathy LOL you have that paranoia thing going about posting too. If we are talking real fast on the cruise people will just have to understand.
Hey Allison - Jason and I are going to be calling you on a daily basis to get the inside scoop on the wine selections.
Yea:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc Linda that's great! I think that everyone that got an upgrade should have to hold an open house in their cabin for the rest of us.:teeth:
I'm sorry Heidi:( here I was sitting around like a big fat smarty pants thinking "How the heck did she get that burned in the tanning bed" I have never gotten burned. So of course God gave me 1st hand knowledge how it happened:o That was on Saturday and I am still way to red to go back yet. I'll buy you a drink at Linda's open house ;) to make up for doubting your tanning abilities.

Alice--
You know, I don't know that I've ever seen the Failry Tale at Downtown Disney. I know they used to have quite a wine (and liquor) selection at the Kitchen Pantry but I don't believe that store is there any longer. I think it was changed into an Earl of Sandwich shop.
I do know that I've seen the Fairy Tale at most of the resorts. We usually buy ours at the Contemporary. It's really cool because in the little Sundries shop they have an entire cooler full of the stuff. It must hold 300+ bottles!
I've also seen it at Poly, Old Key West, and Coronado Springs. It all runs the same price on property as it's all the same company selling it, of course. :)
If you would like, I'm sure Travis and I will be at Disney prior to the cruise. We would be happy to pick you up a bottle, or two, or a case.

Jason, I sent you an e-mail with our family info. I'll see if I can find a picture and scan it in later.
Kathy, glad you were able to get your post typed before you got kicked off. I have DSL and have gotten VERY spoiled. We changed phone carriers last spring and I was without the DSL for a month and I thought I was going to go nuts but since DH works for SBC and we could get a discount....need I say more.
Like I've said before, I needed to get the CheapMom handle before the person who has it did. Oh well, I've had fun with the CM_Mom name and I've been able to answer a few questions for others posting on the boards that hopefully have set their minds at ease before they cruise.
I think we're beginning to get in the cruise spirit. DH said tonight that he thinks he might buy another tropical shirt and did I think he needed another pair fo shorts. This from a man who hasn't worn shorts in over 10 years!
Alice, sorry about the tanning excess. Hope you AND Heidi are feeling OK now.
I think there are some other posts I need to read but want to post this before I hit the wrong key and it goes bye-bye.

HELLOOOO Everyone! It's amazing what a G&T can do to me isn't it??ROFLMAO! Like none of you knew that already!
Jason--can I buy that cuvee champagne at POR? I'd be more than willing to pick up extra bottles (if it's really that good) for people to use on Linda's balcony :teeth: or ours or even Kathy's!
Alice--You make me laugh girl! ROFL! I CANNOT wait to meet you in person! You're killing me smalls (did you ever see the Sandlot movie?) anyway.....lol about the tanning bed god! I was that way once in thinking how in the he** do people get burned in a tanning bed...then it happened I had so much sympathy! Heck I'll take you up on the free drink::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: but I'll buy you one in sympathy as well! It sucks to get burnt! I may venture out tomorrow to try again but I'm not sure..maybe Wednesday after Ryan gets home from work! I'm all for time going faster that's for sure!
Reine--I can't wait to see your family pic!!! It will be so fun to put a name with a face! Now if all you other "Deadbeats" would put your pics up..it would be nice!! :jester: :jester: We have Cable modem and don't know how people with dial up function! OF course that IS Ryan's job!
LOL about needing the cheap mom handle! I wanted lush mom but it wouldn't give it to me! LOL Tell Dh to get with it and get in the tropical spirit! It's about time you did!!!
I'm feeling much better with the burn enough that I MAY go tomorrow and try again!!!
We are in the teens and next week at this time we will be SINGLE DIGITS!!!
Oh yeah and a WARM DIS WELCOME TO RYAN!!!!!!!!!!!!! He got his own handle!!!

Ryan, welcome to the posting part of the thread. We know you've been lurking for some time.
Jason, I sent you a picture of Robyn and Pluto to add to our part of the Dis Meet list on Three Circles. I'll send you a pic of the Paul and I when I can get one scanned. We usually avoid the camera so I'll have to find one.
Heidi, if you want to know what I look like, take Robyn, add 30 years, change the hair to more like a pixie cut and pepper and salt instead of blond you're pretty close. Only not as tan. If you can visualize that picture, you're really good or you've had way too much G & T.
We watched a Travel Channel special on cruise week but no shots of the Magic or Wonder. They were answering a question about kids and cruising and totally ignored Disney. Somebody really GOOFED on that one. I do think they have a special on the Magic later this week..saw the times listed on one of the threads.
Guess I better shut my mouth (stop my fingers, I mean) and get to bed or it will be really hard to get up for work tomorrow.
Check the thread later.

Whoa Ryan, your own Dis name and everything. Well it only took 1 paragraph to know A) you'll fit in perfectly B) why you are Heidi's husband:jester: well now that you have officially joined in you can't disappear, we are counting on you for high humor value. "Monkeyboy" love it that sounds like a good cruise nickname LOL
Now if all you other "Deadbeats" would put your pics up..
I guess I resemble that remark. Maybe I'll take the stupid camara out of the box this week and try to figure it out.
If you would like, I'm sure Travis and I will be at Disney prior to the cruise. We would be happy to pick you up a bottle, or two, or a case.
That is so nice of you guys. I'll let you know, I still haven't booked a room yet (I can be such a twit sometimes) but I'm pretty sure we'll be going to Epcot Friday and hopefully showing up at POR for a cocktail. So if we stick to that plan I can buzz over to OKW and grab some. That is if our group doesn't get there before me and deplete the cooler LOL maybe we should warn Disney of a potential run on Fairy Tale.

SINGLE DIGITS FOR US:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
I can´t believe it,we finally made it to the singles. Our countdown started at 416 days and everybody callea me crazy whenI told them I booked the whole trip without travel insurance for illness. They were so worried Ì would end up in hospital again and loose all the money, but there goes :the power if positive thoughts.I´m still sending them over to you,Reine. You will be on our ship!!!
Linda-now thats what I call an upgrade, whooohooa.Yes,I think we´ll move the party to your suite,at least to take a look at it and get green with envy. That´s so great, that you have more space for the 5 of you.
Allison-great that you can finally join in the docs dance.
Heidi-I wanted to know the same thing about the champagne but since we are at POR ahead of you,I promise I´ll find out.We can´t let Jason and Travis carry tons of bottles for all of us!Or can we??
;)
And welcome to the now independent Ryan,if only I could convince Silke to do the same.
Alice.pm send to you and make sure you and your daughter drop by POR for a cocktail,we´ll be expecting you.

YAY Ryan!!! Now i just need to persuade DH to register also and post ... hmmmm... maybe peer pressure will help "But Joe, Heidi's husband posted!" (edited to say that apparently he has registered, but hasn't yet graced us with his presence)
And LOL, Heidi and Alice .. I started tanning on Saturday and went for my second time last night. The girl said she thought i could bump up to the max amount of time since my first time went so smoothly. I said "No thanks, just ease me into it. Don't want to get burned." She tilted her head to the side and just said "It is up to you" and seemed really befuddled.
Well, I know next to nothing about wine but i am willing to learn if all of you wine connoisseurs are open to taking a newbie by the hand. And while Heidi has her gin, I am happiest with my bottle of vodka ... goodness, we are just a group of alcoholics aren't we? :D
Yay Conny on single digits ... I am just so happy to be less than 20 days out ... can't imagine when i can do the single digit dance too! :hyper:
And i just got an image in my head of Jason and Travis pulling a red wagon behind them full of bottles of champagne. :rotfl:
Well, i have Madalyn pretty well packed (clothes aren't in the suitcase yet, but she has everything she needs). I am working on Teddy's clothes today and then mine tomorrow. Joe is on his own because i never know what he is going to bring! hehehe
So excited

Hey all,
I just wanted to check in, I have been reading all the posts and laughing but just haven't had time to post. So I will try to get caught up rather quickly.
Finally received our DOCS, wife had to scrap me off the ceiling.
Went to Florida on business (tough life I know just ask my queen)
2 year old Abby has a new favorite word "Damit" no idea where she picked that up.
Have made Konk coolers for the past two weekends, can't wait to see how close mine are to theirs.
Have soccer practice, soccer game (outdoor), soccer practice, soccer game (indoor), did I say soccer practice yet (all this weekend).
A surprise 40th birthday party for a friend this weekend (he will only be 39 so it will be a surprise).
Playing Golf twice this weekend (did I mention that my wife really is a queen).
Going to Vegas on the great Heidi Bra search next week (actually for work, but if I see a Bra laying around you know Heidi will be receiving it on the cruise).
That is about it that we have going on, I hope that CM mom you make it on with us. Jason, I want to thank you for all the work on the website, I check it quite regular. Monkey boy it is always nice to see another guy posting, I think Jason and Travis would agree we are outnumbered here. To all the new posters, Welcome Aboard

Welcome to the list hannahandkatesmommy!
There are quite a few little princesses on our cruise so i am sure Hannah and Kate will both find friends. My daughter Madalyn is 4 and can't wait to meet everyone! (my son Teddy is 6)
We took our first Disney cruise when Madalyn was two months shy of 3 years old. They let her join the kids club on a trial basis (and they were strict about no pull-ups). While she was there she didn't have any trouble, but i am not sure what they would have done if she had an accident.
Look forward to meeting you!

Hello and welcome Travelin' Mouse, Hannahandkatesmommy, and, last but not least, MonkeyBoySmith!!!
Glad to see that we're attracting additional cruisers. :)
Tracey--
You simply must try the Fairy Tale! Alice and I won't have it any other way. ;) Hmmm... better add an extra bottle tothe shopping list. :hyper: Glad to hear that you're all done with the shopping. Tennis shoes were the last thing that Travis and I bought too. Had to have them for the St. John Eco Hike.
Tom--
It does indeed sound like youare the busiest of us all around here. Glad to see that you have time to check in and post though because, as you said, the guys are a bit outnumbered on here!
Jen--
Are you making fun of my wagon? It really is the best way to get all that champagne onboard you know! :teeth:
Alice and Heidi--
I'm pretty sure you should be able to buy Fairy Tale at POR. Probably in the sundries shop.
And, last but not least, Alice was successful in getting two more cruisers to send in their pics for *****************! Thanks Alice! :D

Happy Tuesday to one and all!!! It's A LOT easier to type when I havent been drinking! LOL
Conny--No we should at least TRY to bring on some cuvee for everyone right?? LOL You are SO down to single digits! I'm jealous!!!
Jen and your hubby--It's time for hubby to make his name on the boards as well! We all need to get to know everyone even if he just says hi! :wave2: LOL about you and Vodka! When we were in Cancun they didn't serve gin as part of the all inclusive so we drank vodka tonics. They were pretty good but then one night we went "clubbing" to a really fun club and they did serve gin so we ordered a PITCHER of Gin and it was SOOO good after a week of Vodka! They also served these green lime slurpee type concoctions that were SO good! LOL I want to go back just for those!!! Funny about the girl at the tanning salon! I think that's why I ended up getting burned was the girl was looking at me like 10 min was nothing but I said just 10. Thankfully I didn't go for longer! I am going to go tomorrow for 10 again in the same bed! No burn wanted again! Roflmao at your image of the red wagon! I could see them hauling cases of it in luggage swearing it wasn't ALL theirs! LOL I am going to start packing some of the stuff for my kids this weekend but it's supposed to be nice enough for shorts for the next week so I will have to wait!
Tom--Welcome back to the boards!!! Glad to see you are still here!!!! OK ROFLMAO at your "damit" sayer! My kids just today while getting a new snorkel for Miles were asking me about all the origins of the swear words dad and I use! LOL I was so shocked that they would ASK me! LOL SO sorry to hear you had to go to Florida on Business! I'm jealous of your Vegas trip! PLEASE look for my bra! LOL Your wife is WAY too kind to let you do everything even go golfing after being out of town and going again! I get pissed at Ryan when he does stuff like that (huh MONKEYBOY?) I'm glad he is finally posting as well..it's too hard to keep him up to date with people and happenings! It's also good that I'm not the only excited one this time!!!
Hannah&Kate aka Jen--Glad to have you on the boards with us! I think we are all going to have a blast!!!! I was born in 1970 and Ryan was born in 1971...lots of early 70's kids! I had 5 girls in my neighborhood growing up named Jen all my age! That must have been a VERY popular name! Anyway glad to have you here!
Tammy--Do you still have your paper chain you made eeons ago?? I bet if you do it looks pretty darn awesome huh?? Also did you say you were doing Discovery Cove?? I thought I read that somewhere!
Alice--Get your butt in gear and get a room girl! Only 2 weeks and 3 days!!!!!!!!!!!
Tracey--yep I am recovered. Going to go back tomorrow for the same amount of time and hopefully just get COLOR not burned! Cool you are all set! I am finally set as well. I went and bought Tanner a lifejacket to take with us today since he isn't a great swimmer yet! Got Miles a new snorkel since he broke his and now except for Ryan getting some tennis shoes we are officially DONE!
Cathy--Welcome to the boards! It's great that you have so many people going with you!!! I think I'd call your TA and ask what's going on with your docs! About now I think I would start a little panic attack but then I tend to freak out easily (no commets monkey)
Jason--Glad to know we can get that cuvee at the sundries! I plan on buying a few bottles...then if I still hate it I can give it to someone else!:teeth:

Hi Travelin' Mouse (Cathy)! I just joined the group a few days ago ... this is a friendly bunch!
Heidi, Well, in all honesty i don't know that i have ever tried gin, i'll have to give it a whirl on the cruise. And though vodka is my favorite, i'll gladly take any fancy, frozen foo-foo drink handed to me as i lounge by the pool!
Don't forget to watch the travel channel tonight! There is a special about DCL.

Good Day Everyone,
Well we are on day number 3 of rain and temps in the 40's - I can't stand it anymore. My poor DD has a 1 1/2 hour long soccer practice in the pouring down rain last night to prepare for a big game this weekend. No fun! Although they are calling for sun and high 60's this weekend.
Welcome to all the new cruisers. So glad that you found our little (but growing bigger by the day) group :bounce:
The Fairytale Cuvee (did I spell that right) sounds wonderful. I will have to try to pick up a bottle on Friday before we board. Does anyone know if they have orange juice at the drink station? I am a fuzzy navel kind of girl (or straight peach schnapps for that matter) and would love to be able to make my own.
Heidi- I wish I would have taken a picture of our countdown chain when we first started - it was HUGE - now we are down to 17 links. Actually we are planning on doing Discovery Cove as a xmas presents for my DD's when we are at WDW the week of xmas this year. Thanks for updating the children's list.
With so many cruisers we definetely need some way to identify each other - Jason - I think the nametags would be a great idea. I'm sure many of us will be at the port early and will be waiting in line together :hyper:
Jason - I would love to send you a picture, but I have no clue how to do that. I have them saved on my computer - if you guide me, maybe I can get one to you :D
Have a great night everyone!

Now I know I have to try that FT Cuvee!! All this talk about it is making my mouth water!!!! lol.. ::yes::
Heidi - cool list - thanks for putting that together!! Wow... lots of different age ranges!!
I am bringing Logan's waterwings along as he's not the best swimmer either... I'm assuming they're allowed in the pools?? That is, if we can find a clearing to get in.... :) Glad to hear your burn is better!!
Tammy - OH no.. there is nothing worse than watching your kids play/practice in the pouring rain! We've got the crappy weather in MD too.. raining for the past few days.. but luckily Logans soccer practiced was cancelled tonight so we didn't have to go BE in it!!
Hi Kathy - welcome to the group! Glad ya'll are sailing with us!!
HAve a nice evening all - going to put DS to bed and tune into the Travel Channel to get my fix!!!

JenL--well I would think if you like Vodka you'd probably like Gin...same kind of thing just a more "piney" taste (for lack of any other description) but yeah any kind of drink I'll try just to have one! In fact I think I'll have one with dinner tonight!:teeth: I have the tivo set for the dcl hour on travel channel! I am recording the secrets of WDW or something like that now. I love to see this stuff just before we leave! As if I'm not excited enough! LOL
Tammy--sounds like you are getting our crummy rain from last week! You have my sympathy!:( It stinks to have it cold and rainy! I have to say that the last 2 days here have been really nice (even got the Tahoe washed today) and thankfully the kids go back to school tomorrow...the weather has a chance of rain. Sending :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: thoughts your way!! Sorry to hear about dd's soccer practice..that sux! I don't remember them having juice at the beverage station BUT I'm sure you could always order from Room Service!::yes:: We ran the poor room service people crazy on our last Carnival cruise to Belize. We had a balcony and NO kids! LOL Awesome about the chain!!! It's so exciting when it gets short!!! Discovery Cove I've heard is AWESOME! Miles scout leader was just telling me about it. They took their kids! I agree nametags are a great idea!
Tracey--The list is just an add on with the new cruisers but we do have quite a few!!! I think WW are allowed in the pool..We've just had some bad experiences with them in the past losing air! I just feel more comfortable with a jacket and then he can go out to the platform at CC and play with the kids out there!
Oh yeah and I edited this to add that I LOVE the new pics on Jason's site!!! Reine your daughter is way cute..which means you are cute too!!!! Amber...Justin is a doll and AZ looks almost like Utah with nothing but land! LOL JennL--cute family!!! I want a pic like that of us at CC but when we went before it was an awful day..rained off and on all day long..no sunshine so I said NO WAY...we'll have to go again until we get one sunny! Your dd is so cute!! I love DS the way he is leaning over..that would be my Tanner..he hates to stand still for pics! I SO dread the lifeboat drill with him..its 20 min of pure torture for everyone around us! LOL
Ok now ALICE, LISA,KATHY,ALLISON,TERI,LINDA, and TAMMY...submit pics so we can recognize you too!!!!
Well off to fix dinner and watch American Idol and then the DCL stuff on travel channel!

Hello all and welcome to all the newcomers! You're gonna love this bunch.
Ryan- Thanks for joining us. You're gonna fit right in I can tell.
Heidi-You missed my DC on your list. DD4 and DS 6. As far as pictures. I am almost computer illiterate and I dont have a digital camera or a scanner. I could have somebody at work send the pic but isnt it more fun if you have to figure it out???????? Maybe I can drop clues so you walk up to the strangers after a few G&T's saying "Are you Kathy?":teeth:
To all the sunburners. Ever try the stand up booths?? Less risk of burns and germs! I'm up to 10 min also but no color yet. I think a burn is in store.
CMom- have you heard ANYTHING???
Travis & Jason(I get you both mixed up)-The cuvee sounds yummy and I'm not a champagne drinker. I would end up dancing on tables like Drew Barrymore.
Conny- before I forget again the chocolate smiley thing was great. Reminded me of myself since easter eve. Surely I will not fit into my cruisewear.
Anyway gotta go put the DS to bed. I'll write more later if I don't pass out first :wave2: Bye

Hi All!
Welcome to all the new names! Glad to have you here.
Okay we're going to have to try that champange. You have forced us to drink some! :cool1:
I've sent our picture to Jason. Since we don't have any recent pictures of just the 2 of us you get to see the family.
We've got most of the shopping done for the trip but still have 1 or 2 other things to get.
Congat to all who got upgrades!
