We are planning our trip for Oct 9-17, 2004. We definately want to do MNSSHP. We also would like to book the Laua asap to insure good seats. I'm afraid the day I book for the Laua will end up being the only day the MNSSHP is on while we are going to be there. Is there a pattern to how the MNSSHP dates are picked by Disney? There doesn't seem to any rhyme or reason to this years dates. :D

We went last year and are going again this year. It appears that the dates pick up as the month progresses. With you going in the first third, I'd guess that the dates would cluster around Fridays and Sundays. IIRC, they throw in an occasional Tuesday this year, as well. If you schedule the luau for a Mon or Thurs, you should be okay. I think.

Let me check dates. I may need to edit later.

=============
Okay, I checked dates. According to wdwig.com, the luau is held Tues thru Sat. This year, the ten MNSSHP dates fall: Sun-3, Tues-1, Thurs-2, Fri-4. No dates scheduled for Mon, Wed or Sat.

Hope this helps.

You can book the Laua now for several nights that might work for you. When the dates for MNSSHP are released next summer,cancel the Lauas you don't want.

Thank you Disneyjunkie and Holcomb-mania!!
Disneyjunkie - If we book the Laua, don't we have to pay shortly after we book it?
:)

No, they only need your CC# to hold the reservation. They won't charge it until you pick up your tickets at guest services. I think you have to cancel 48 hours in advance to avoid any charges.

You may possibly have a few to choose from...MNSSHP is usually Sun, Tues, Thurs and Friday and they start pretty early in the month so you may have up to 5 to choose from!

They have never been on a Sat or Wed that I know of.

Good luck!
