Strange WDW Web Site Behavior

Discovered this when looking for park hours....

If you type in "disneyworld.com", you end up in the right place, which is
http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/waltdisneyworld/index

But if you type in "http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/", you end up at the Disneyland CA site! :confused:

That is strange indeed. I have found that the wdw official site is hard to navigate and SUPER slow. Actually any Disney company site I have tried is awful--abc.com and disney.com. Granted I have a dial up connection and a computer that could use some fine tuning, but I do fine on the DIS board. You would think that as large as Disney is, they could come up with something better. I imagine that's part of the reason that there are so many other WDW sites. I know when I started researching for my WDW trip, I used the official site. It was so slow, I had to switch to other sites.
