John was nice enough to send me a 'before' picture (I still think it's his Dad ;) ). I decided to place it in the post with the 'after' picture. I know this was difficult for him but he has inspired so many and felt if this helps one person stay on track, it's worth it.

I know I joke a lot with you John, but I am so very proud of you! You have accomplished something many of us are working so hard to achieve. Your determination and drive was amazing.

You have shown us that it IS possible and we thank you!!

You look 20 years younger ( he's 40 LOL!, sorry couldn't miss that one) and healthier!!

Honestly, I would NEVER believe that these were photos of the same person. You truly have made an amazing physical transformation. You look younger, fitter, more confident...

And we're not teasing about the hottie stuff. (Okay, we are teasing a bit- but we're not lying!) You are truly a good-looking man. Now you have a wonderfully attractive exterior to match that wonderfully intelligent and funny interior you've shared with us.

After a lifetime of not liking how I look, it has been extremely difficult to accept compliments, or to allow myself to even begin to think that I am anything different than before.

Your kind words have meant a lot to me, because you have all become my friends through the journey that this has been.

I have to give extra-special thanks to someone who has meant the world to me in this. Kelsie has been not only my PM Buddy, but my strength over the rough spots, and my greatest cheerleader through the good parts. I could not have accomplished this without having such great support as she provides. :)

I will most likely NEVER get to a point where I could ever take seriously the "hottie" or "cutie pie" labels, but they make me smile nonetheless to see. For that I owe all of you a huge
