We were originally scheduled for our home resort, OKW, for 12/14-12/22. At the 7 month mark I called to change to BWV and WLV to please our sons, 23 and 26. One wanted BWV the other WLV. We changed to 12/14-12/16 at BWV and the last 5 days at WLV. I asked to be waitlisted for the 17th and 18th at the BWV because we wanted to be near Epcot etc and felt staying at WLV would be a relaxing way to end the vacation. The BWV res was for a standard 2 bdrm and CM said she was suprised it was available. Well low and behold, the waitlist came through. This will be our first trip to either resort and everyone is very excited. We love OKW but decided as long as we were going to be there for the 8nights this would be a good time to try the others and make a move during the stay. Just wanted to share our good news.

I have had similar success with the waiting lists. Sounds like you have a great trip planned. Enjoy.

I was waitlisted for any of the DVC properties, Dec 1 -8th. I would be happy to get any of them. A one bedroom opened up for me today at VWL for the whole week! I own at BWV but prefer VWL, (Honeymooned there) I'm so excited! I tried to explain at work my excitement and everyone just looked at me like I was nuts! They just don't understand do they?

We all understand, that is one of the great things about this board. When I told people we had purchased our plane tickets the first day they were available to buy, they just looked at me. I explained we could always get a voucher for the difference if the price went down and use it for our next trip. I am sure they still don't understand, because most say "Oh, you already know you will go back again to WDW, don't you want to go somewhere else?"

We're doing the same in August! :bounce: OKW is our home resort, but we're doing 3 nights at BWV followed by 3 nights at VWL. We are beginning our vacation with two nights at VB. I originally started by reserving the nights at OKW to be sure we had something, then exchanged them at the seven month window. Only sixty days to go.....:D

Sure sounds good to me, wish we were going sooner. Be sure to let us know how you liked the resorts and how the moving mid stay went.

maureenmac...hey i was born in amityville! it such a small town im surprised to see it anywhere.
When you say you get vouchers for the difference in plane fares what do you mean? I'm waiting for airfares to come down so I can get my january ticket. I got one for September for $141.50.

It sure is a small town, I moved here from that larger town 2 over, Lindenhurst. Didn't go to far. When you purchase your tickets early, if the price goes down you can ask for the difference. We fly Delta Express from Islip, MacArthur. If the price for our Dec. tickets goes down either I will take the tickets to the airport or my husband will take them to Delta in Manhattan and get a credit voucher for future travel. When you buy 4 tickets each time, it can add up. I purchased them at the airport because we had credits for all 4 of us. They won't let you use credit vouchers at their website. Hope this helps.
