I'd prefer to buy an autograph book before leaving for our trip so that we will have it handy in case we see any characters before we make it to a gift shop. Where can I purchase them? Does the Disney store carry them?

I just ordered autograph and pressed penny books from www.giftsofalifetime.com to give to my nieces to take to Disney next month,
They are about $1.50 more each (plus shipping) than in the parks, but I wanted to make sure Grace and Nell had them in hand when they enter Magic Kingdom (first trip).
I also got them each a Guest of Honor pin/badge and will be making them a goodie bag with the two books, badge, fat pen (XXL Bic), a snack-size ziplock baggie with some quarters and pennies to press, etc.

Yesterday I saw really cute Pooh note books at Wal-Mart. They are hanging where the crayola section is. They were about $4 and looked like they were nice size. They also have fat tigger pens. Suggestion about the penny book. Fill it wth shinny pennies and put quarters in a old film container.

I was able to buy an autograph book on eBay. I got the pen (and other things) from www.giftsofalifetime.com because the characters need the "fat" pens to hold in their hands. Good luck!

The DS doesn't sell autograph books. I wanted the same before one of our trips and they said they do not sell park merchandise like that. Where are you staying? I do know that all the WDW resorts have gift shops with plenty of autograph books. I doubt you will see a character before you get to the hotel gift shop. Even at the parks there are carts right there upon entry that you can buy the books at. You don't have to go to the gift shop to get them.

My two DDs and I, ages 6 & 7, made auto books from small memory books purchased at a craft store. They are the same size as auto books and we used 50% off coupons so they were only a little over $2. I used a hot glue gun to cover them with fabric and glue on black felt Mickey circles with a bow to match the fabric and make it Minnie. The girls are thrilled. We'll glue on fabric slips for the pen holder on the back. Can't wait to use them and the cost was under $5 each. It was a great, easy craft project for small children and makes our books unique. More importantly, it was something productive to keep the kids busy while we wait for the trip. Leaving Turkey day for 9 days at POR. Can't wait.
