I know that the resorts at WDW have the ability for a check out as late as 1:00pm. Can anyone tell me if BWV offers the same, we have an 18 month old that may need 1 last nap before and that would sure help. That is what we did in Dec. when we stayed at ASMovies.

Thank you!!

It can't hurt to ask but, as a rule, check out is a 11 AM.
Good Luck!

We asked two weeks ago and were told they don't offer that.

I was told no at the Wilderness Villas last week - I only asked for one hour.

I was also told no at VWL last month. However, we stayed in our room (waiting for a bellman for our bags) until 11:45 and housekeeping never came by. I think we would have certainly seem them by 1:00, however.

I asked for that a couple of weeks ago at BWV and was told that they cannot honor late checkouts.

I have asked in the past and have been told no. For this coming Sept, our plane doesn't leave until 7:00 p.m., so I just booked another day with points. We won't spend the night; we will just spend the "day" in the villa until time to go to the airport. It's hard for us to be out by 11:00, and with the late flight, it will be worth the points, I believe.

What we did and what we noticed some other people were doing to avoid having to pay the extra points for the extra day with the late flight, was to check out, let them hold your bags and keep a carryon with a change of clothes. The VWL has lockers by the pool where you can lock up anything valuable and we spent the day at the pool - then changed in the bathroom, the health club even has a shower if you need one, and caught our flight. Your room charge is good until 12:00 midnight so we could charge lunch or anything else we needed. The kids had a great day!

There was a blerb a couple of years ago in the VM saying no more late checkouts.

;) Our home is OKW and we used to be able to get a late check out----but they stopped that several years ago. Last summer we stayed at BWV and they don't offer late check out either. OKW does have better "hanging around and getting ready for the flight home" facilities. They have lockers, showers and hair dryers in the rest rooms. I didn't find anything like that at BWV. I don't really like this, but I think that too many people stayed too late in their accommodations and they couldn't get the rooms ready in time for the next guests.
