Our next cruise sails on July 18, 2004. This is my dh's 40th birthday. Is there anything special that I might be able to arrange for him? Who would I even contact? Last year they brought him a cake but this is a biggie birthday and needs more than a cake.

Any suggestions?

I would suggest that you tell your TA or DCL so they sing to him etc... Also you could contact Shirley at the perfect gift and have a basket of goodies in your room when you board. I would also bring some decorations so you can decorate your cabin door when DH is not looking.

Shirley's website is

Infact, I also turned forty the next year and plan on turning 40 again this year-all on the Magic. (yup I am not getting older than 40 ;) )
DCL will give you the standard cake (hense my joke in my signature) which is a nice touch and the waiters will sing. You could contact Shirley www.theperfectgift.cc or order something from Disney's brochure. I might suggest an exciting excursion or maybe a nice watch when in port. DH bought be a sapphire and diamond bracelett in St. Maarten for BDay number one and then a diamond band in Cozumel for BD number two. Jewelry is a great deal in the caribbean, I know watches are an excellent deal in St. Maarten (that seems like a "man" gift)
You could plan a meal at Palo followed by a spa treatment like couples massage or the suriel bath.
