Does anyone know what hotels Hotwire uses for WDW area? When I put in my request it came up $59 for a midscale and $65 for a moderate. Isn't midscale supposed to be better than a moderate? And are they the same hotels that Priceline uses? Thanks for any help! Leaving on the 7th and still no place to stay!!

I'd advise you to steer clear of Hotwire for a hotel room near Disney. Lots of disappointments with misrated hotels there. Unless you can get a 4 key for a good price, you are liable to be very disappointed because some of the 3 keys are Quality Inns.
And yes you are right that a midscale is supposed to be better than a moderate. We see that type of reverse pricing with Hotwire all the time.
If you want to use a service where you can get a great deal in exchange for not knowing which hotel you'll get, go with Priceline.
There is a $5/night bonus money offer available in the Bonus Money Opportunities category of the board I administer to discuss Priceline bidding.

I went through hotwire for my hotel. My search came back a four key in WD World area for I believe $51 a night. I accepted and when revealed it was Wyndham Palace and Resort. We will be there 7/6 - 7/14.

Join Wyndham By Request if you have not already. We had a great time in May.

Would you mind checking that? I seem to recall the Wyndham Palace coming up through Hotwire for $61 (at the same time you could get it for $53 through Priceline, by the way).
I haven't heard any bad reports about Hotwire 4 keys (that's why I said what I did above), but the lower levels have been problematic.
