Hi,
I'd really like to stay at one of the on-site hotels, but they are so very expensive.
Could you please give me some ideas on ways to get a good discount off the price?
Is there AAA? I've also heard of the Fan Club and am looking into it to see if my husband work has it.
Any other ways?
Thanks! ;)

Hi beattyfamily,
The deepest discount I have seen is with the entertainment card. You can order it online at www.entertainment.com (http://www.entertainment.com)
Rates at Hard Rock when available for a gardenview room is $117.50
Portofino for a gardenview is $160
The Fan Club discounts passes not the rooms. and AAA is also an option. Travelocity has some discounted rates as well. If you book an onsite be sure to go to www.loewshotels.com (http://www.loewshotels.com) and sign up for their "first program" this entitles you to a few worth while perks.
Hope this helps you, Good Luck in getting a great rate! :D

With the entertainment book you don't have to already have it to make a reservation, so call the hotels right away to see if there is an entertainment rate discount for the dates you are looking for. If there is, book it right away and then order the entertainment book (for your own city). When you arrive at the hotel you must show your entertainment card that you receive with your book to get the discounted rate.
If you change your mind about the reservation you need to contact them within five days of your date to get your money back.
I got the deluxe room (500 square feet) for $149 a night for April 26-30.
Good Luck!

This is what I read at the Fan Club site:
----------------------------------------------
Universal Orlando Resorts
Hotel guests enjoy 30% off regular room rates (Call for reservations. Blackout dates apply.) and an exclusive theme park benefits package all year long including:
Early theme park admission on select days
Front-of-the-line access until 10am
Complimentary on-site transportation
Priority seating at select restaurants
Destination-wide charging privileges and more!
------------------------------------------------
What does this mean then, if there is no Fan Club discount?

Loew's program includes Hard Rock yes. As far as the Fan club benefits give them a call someone just posted they changed their benefits plan recently. Here is the link. Sometimes it takes a while before they update their webpages.
