There are 4 ways to have lunch and breakfast.

1) Room Service
2) Topsider's Buffet near the pool
3) One of the dining rooms will be available (listed in the Navigator)
4) Snacks at Pluto's or Pinochio's
In fact, you could have all 4!

I'm sure you will deserve that long stiff drink after driving that far with so many people:crazy: My dad used to pile us in the car and drive us there every summer.

In response to the poll as to who is more excited about the cruise, it definitely is DW and myself.

And don't forget Palo brunch Mr. Goofy601 if you and Mrs. Goofy601 can get away from the kids a bit on sea day. Of course, if you can do that, you might not want to go to brunch...;)

Hope you have a great trip down!

Oh my goodness, I just typed a long message, and somehow erased it!! The new computer...it's supposed to be easier....I just need time to learn!! Anyway, thanks for all the kind words. I'm not usually such a 'sap' !! I guess you all get to meet me while I'm in a life crisis!!! But, like I said, you'll all be feeling the same in a few short years - time FLYS!!! Our precious children become adults somehow under our noses, and we just can't stop it!! It's a wonderful thing to watch, yet so bittersweet.... Can't wait to have this vacation for the R&R as well as time with the family.......

Well sorry i haven't written in a while dh is due in tomarrow at 6pm and i am obssesing over the house!! dd is soooooooooooo excited daddy is coming home. Unfortunatly i haven't had time to even think about the cruise, once he is back it will be a mad rush trying to get everything around and get his stuff he has aquired while overseas put away.

I would have to say in our house the entire family is about the same when it comes to who is more excited. I have to say goofy601 your enthusiasum has definitly helped me!

thebets57 i cannot even imagine the whole college thing i am freaking over dd going to kindergarten!

disneysailor thank you so much i am just thrilled i will have my dh back. they are having a welcome home thing tomarrow and that will be the first time the families will get reunited so it will be very emotional it will be held in an ice arena and there will be plenty of support.
I wish you luck with the dryer while dh was gone i think i broke every appliance we have and replaced them all.

bostonlass wow your kids are gonna have one heck of a month that is awesome.

guardwife- Have a wonderful day!!! This will be a day I'm sure you're whole family will remember for a lifetime!!

thebets57- Just a hint, I always got to edit copy before I send these messages since I have had a few erase when I've tried to send them. It's usually when they're long so I think I time out or something. Best wishes on making a decision for your son's future.

April 1:Pinkbounc :bounce: , can you all believe it? The birds are outside chirping and vacation is coming SOON!!!!

Have a great day everyone!:sunny:

Guardwife- What a great day for you and your family!! I can imagine all the excitment in your house.:Pinkbounc :bounce:

Thebets57- I know that this is not comparable, but I teach mentally handicap high school students. I will have them for four years, every school day, all day. Then they graduate and I never see them again. I am always torn up on graduation day. I do not allow myself to even think about it unitl them. Did your son decide on a college?

Maine is expected to get SNOW tomorrow (Friday)!! ds has a tropical dance and I am scheduled to get my snow tires exchanged for regular ones on Saturday. ---Mother Nautre is not quite done with us!!!

Everyone have a very good day. 14 days!:sunny:

It's getting closer...I'm so excited...not enough days to get everything done that needs to be done...but we'll manage...hip hip hooray - we're going on a MICKEY SHIP! :bounce:

Just checked the 10 day forecast for both Orlando and Nassau and it looks like the weather for both is about 80 during the day and 70 at night. My favorite weather!:) Hopefully when I check it at the end of next week, it will show sun, sun and more sun!:sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

I went to the Disney store to return the 1st dress I had ordered and they had some great 75% off sales if any of you have a store near you. I bought a pair of p.j.s for myself and my dd, and a shirt for ds. The p.j.s were only $7 and the shirt $4. I figure I can put the kids stuff in their Easter baskets. Also, I hadn't known this, but if you order something from the Disney catalog and it goes on sale within 30 days, they'll credit you the difference. Just FYI.

Just being in the Disney store made me all the more excited, even DH seems to be starting to enter vacation mode and that's saying something!

See you soon!:wave2:

Emily has a sleepover b-day party tomorrow night and ...for the first time *ever* I am going to be alone for the whole night with Megan. I'm going to go shopping for goodie bags with her for her party on Saturday and take her to her favorite restaurant, Bertuccis. I'm very excited. :hyper: :hyper: I love when I get alone time with either of them!!!!

Disneysailor - Thanks for the tips on posting - it seems like I'm always 2 steps behind on the computer thing, and (apparantly) we now have a better computer, so things should be easier.....I don't quite see the difference at this point, but just feel more confused with a new system. Even the keyboard 'touch' is different, so I just keep making typing errors........No time to learn!!! Also, thanks for the positive weather prediction. I hadn't thought to look yet!! It's really gross here - tons of rain!!! Last night the rain was coming thru the guest room light fixture in the ceiling - lovely!! DH was in the rafters placing buckets strategically to catch the H2O!! The roof is new since we moved in, so it was unexpected. Homeowner horrors never end!! Ours was built in c.1740, so I'm not kidding!!! Luckily our DCL vacation is already paid for, or the $ might be going to a roofer!!!! (Of course, with college tuition, we might as well live out back in our tent - LOL)!!!!!!!!!!!

Bostonlass - Yes, besides the roof, our cellar is also flooded...we keep checking the pump to make sure it's running...Hopefully, now that I'm going to bed, we won't have a crisis to wake up to!!...The way the rain is coming down, who knows??

Guardwife - I've been thinking of you all day - what a great day for all of you!!! I hope your reunion is all you imagined. Your families sacrifice is truly appreciated!

Looking forward to meeting all of you, and a little R&R!!!! Cabana boy............

Thebets57- I know very little about sending a child to college (and if he continues as he has this past month, he will never make it to college) but, the one bit of advice I can give you is, have your DS apply to all and any scholarships that he has a connection with. Our Registar, who handles scholarship applications at my school, complains every year that the kids do not take advantage of all that is available. I believe you can get a print out of all the scholarships available with the requirements. Just apply, apply, apply. Good luck!!......Lee

It doesn't matter that it SNOWED yesterday and it doesn't matter that we're going to have to build an arc to get to Florida - we're going on a MICKEY SHIP! Hip Hip HOORAY! ::MickeyMo

Our swing set is slowly but surely sinking further and further into the ground...the old one...that is suppose to be coming out of our yard...besides that the kids couldn't get to the new one if they wanted to...there's a HUGE puddle between the house and the swing set...gotta love rain!

Ok I need cheering up here. I was nonchalant about the basement last night. Well.....woke up to a foot of water in the basement. It's like a swimming pool. Had to have fire dept come and make sure that it's ok for the contractor people to walk through it since I wasn't sure about outlets and such. Everything is damaged and here's the kicker.....I'm not covered. My agent said that no one is covered under a homeowner's policy but I'm not sure if that sounds right.

ugh.

Checking in from the Ark.....Goodness, we got poured on yesterday. Bostonlass...I think your insurance agent is right, if it is water that came in from the outside, you are not covered. Unless you have seperate flood insurance. And most people don't get that especially around here.

Last winter, the people across the street had water flood their finished basement. $$$ thousands$$$ of dollars in damages...no insurance because the water came in from the outside. Had a pipe burst then they would of been covered.

I am sorry you were affected like this. Nothing like this to happen two weeks before our trip. UGH.

04-02-2004, 02:05 PM
Bostonlass, I'm so sorry to here about all your trouble. We had a house a while ago where the basement flooded and among the things that were ruined were some of my Christmas ornaments, which was heartbreaking. I hope when you get dried out it turns out to not be so bad. Is it a finished basement? As far as the insurance, I don't know. We bought this house the end of August 2002. We used the pool maybe 3 times and then it was freezing out. We ended up having one of the snowiest winters ever and the pool was destroyed. Anyway, our agent told us to put in a claim and it came back as an "Act of God" and wasn't covered. $5000.00 later we had a new pool (above ground) but it sat in our garage half the summer last year since it kept raining and they couldn't get it installed. Um, I just realized this probably isn't helping to cheer you up, but the good news is-"We're going on a Mickey Ship." :earsboy: I hope everything works out for you in the end. Best of luck to you also thebets57 with your water woes.

Travel with kids, every time I read your posts, I swear my son has cloned himself and is living at your house. If so, can you send him home to clean his room please? Thanks.

If all goes well, two weeks from today, we will be landing in Orlando about this time.:Pinkbounc :bounce:

Let's hope for good weather, good health, and good times! See you soon!!!!

Goofy601- You have the right attitude. I was complaining at work about this snow/hail/ sleet/rain mixture at school. Who cares if it is snowing outside. We are going on the Michkey Ship::yes:: Thank you for keeping us all motivated and in the right frame of mind

Bostonlass- I am sending you hugs{{{{{}}}}}. Is it safe to be in the basement? Is the whole Boston area in flood status? I am so sorry you have to go through this. I wish I could do something for you! I will have my cabana boy well rested for the cruise.

Thebets57 & Disney1fan2002 are you guys flooded also? Good luck!

OK disneysailor--anytime you want to come and pick up YOUR other son, please feel free!! This afternoon he came home, all bend out of shape becasue they canceled the dance at his Jr. High. It was Tropical Night and he was going to wear shorts and one of his Hawaiian shirts. When I told him it was canceled due to the weather, he looked at me as if I had four heads. After a minute, he said "Ah, Mom, the dance is inside!" With that he went to his room complaining that adults simply want to ruin any fun left for a kid. Ok--when are you coming?:)

You all have a warm and dry evening:sunny: ....Lee

Two weeks to go! I'm on vacation starting at 5:00 on April 16th. Mrs. SCOTTOHIOCPA went to work today and tendered her resignation effective April 16. So she will be especially happy to go on vacation. No word on a new job yet, but something will turn up in the next few months I'm sure.

I am sorry to hear about all of the water problems everyone is experiencing. It seems like there is always something you have to repair when you buy a home. Better that it happened now while you can deal with it than to find it when you come home from your trip. I saw pictures of a house on TV where a guy's washing machine leaked water from the second floor down while he was in Hawaii for 2 weeks. His home had to be demolished and built all over because the damage was so bad.

We'll I gotta go meet the wife and kids for dinner.

Thanks for all of your kind words.:D I called 15 people yesterday who specialize in cleaning up flood disasters. Do you know it's now one day later and not ONE person has called me back.

I went to work for about 4 hours yesterday 'cause I couldn't stand sitting by the phone and thank goodness I did. When I came home my fiance had pulled in the same time and bought a second pump. Luckily when we checked the basement most of the water was gone and only one inch or so was left. My lil sump pump is still going. Once we got a lot of the water out of the boiler area I was able to get the oil company in and they replaced the motor....I'll get the bill in the mail and I don't wanna think about it yet

All of our summer clothes from last year are ruined , though I'm going to make an attempt to restore them once my washer and dryer are up and running again. (crossing my fingers they will work). Luckily we bought all new summer clothes for the cruise and it's all upstairs!!!!! My new fake Christmas tree (it was a fiber optic one) is ruined along with all of our christmas ornaments, etc. It's not the money but some of them were paper that the kids made when they were in daycare. That's the part that is killing me.

BUT.................................12 more days for us and we'll be in Orlando!!! Our flight leaves at 7:05am on Friday the 16th and last night I realized we have to be at the airport at around 5am!!:earseek: :earseek: :earseek:

I'm sooooooooooooooo not a morning person!!! Ok well time to get ready for Megan's birthday party.

Bostonlass-- Best of luck to you. You seem to have a good outlook on the whole situation.

I started to pack!!! Both of my kids have play dates today (ds would die if he heard me refer to his time with his friend as a play date!!) Before they left this morning I asked them to take ALL the clothes they would take on the cruise into my room. I expected them to hang the hangables on the door hook and stack the foldable stuff on the bed or my dresser. NOPE--they threw piles of clothes on my bed!!! OK--they are all in one room now! I started to pull out my stuff and to my horror, something must have happened to them while hanging in the storage closet!! They are snug! WHAT?? I wore them in Mexico last October and they all fit!!! When dh came home and I showed him the clothes that DID fit and the clothes that DID NOT fit (he refrained from laughing!!) but suggested that I treat myself and go shopping with a friend!! ARK!! I thought I was done!! I have NO time to shop.

Everyone have a very good week-end and stay warm and dry:sunny:

Hey All!! I get a kick out of reading all these posts - the enthusiasm is contagious!!! We spent the entire day at Bentley College (very near here in Waltham MA) - one of the big contenders for DS. VERRRRY interesting day...seems like it moves up to the top of the list. Unfortunately, the final decision won't be made until we attend another accepted students day for Boston College on 4/24 - sooooooo, we will have to spend the vacation still not knowing :-(. I was really hoping we could just put it all behind us for the trip, but hopefully we will not think too much about it and just RELAX (how do you do that again??!!) Also met his new love interest/girlfriend tonight - very sweet and so.....where is the cabana boy???

Bostonlass - I'm so sorry to hear about your cellar!!! We always have water when the rains are bad. The worst year - we were swimming down there !! - a friend suggested we call the fire dept to pump us out - I had never thought of that, and quite frankly, didn't expect they would be bothered with us (kind of felt guilty to bother them...). Sure enough, they came right out and hooked up their big pumps, and the water was gone soooo much faster than if we had plugged along with our smaller pumps - I couldn't believe it. You know, you just pay and pay...your taxes, but you never expect (or should I say "we never expect") actual services day-to-day. Those guys were awesome! Not sure if that would have applied to your current situation, or in the future. My brother lives in Andover - their cellar flooded for the third time since they finished it as a playroom. They confirmed the insurance thing....good luck!! There's always something as a homeowner......

Well, we're covered again in the white stuff. Isn't it wonderful? Not only did I lose an hour of sleep that I really needed - but I wake up to a ground full of snow! Oh yeah - that's exactly how I like my mornings...short of sleep and snowy - can I add a side of bacon to that! BUT! Everyone with me - WE'RE GOING ON A MICKEY SHIP - HIP HIP HOORAY! :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I am sending LOTS and LOTS of hugs everyone's way that is having all the problems with their homes! That really stinks! Thankfully we have a wonderful rental home - it breaks - they fix it in a jiffy! We had a gas leak 2 years ago and presto - new gas lines - no bill - and a new furnace to boot!! We had a stove that one thing wasn't working right and they came out and fixed and then the next day - a new stove was delivered! Of course on the down side - no equity and I'm paying for the land lord's mercedes - but after hearing all your joys of home owner ship - I'll rent a little while longer!

Gotta run - off to church - and then off to work! Isn't life grand!

We've lost an hour, but I'm too excited to sleep, I get to meet you all on the Mickey Ship two weeks from TODAY!!!! I've made arrangements for my pets, to stop the mail and newspapers, but all you CPA's out there, I'm horrified to say our taxes are still NOT done. My husband is still waiting for a paper from his business:rolleyes: and I'm really getting nervous. We've never done our taxes this late. Of course, our friends that own a tax business still haven't done theirs, but I guess that's kind of like the plumber with the leaky faucet, so I don't know if that really makes me feel better.

goofy601-Snow?,Yuck. Did anyone else get snow? We're expected to get some tonight but I hope they're wrong. Of course, it will make our gorgeous vacation weather seem all the better.

thebets57, didn't we just go to college yesterday? How can our babies be growing up so fast? My son turns 14 in Sept. and my dh and I started dating when we were 14! YIKES!!!

bostonlass- So sorry to hear about the things you lost. Glad you are starting to get it under control though and hopefully no more rain will come your way anytime soon.

Good luck with the packing everyone. I think I way overpacked but I can't figure out what to take out and I'm not even done putting in!

Oh, Heavens, I wish that is how it went. But instead, all the boy except ds palyed ps2 and all the girls and ds (the only boy) played truth or dare:eek: ---he is only 13!! and today it's covered with snow. Only in Ohio can you use your lawn mower and snow blower in the same 24 hours. This weather stinks and we can't wait to have it warm enough to wear shorts.

Yestersday I decided to call the hotels/airline/rental car companies just to reconfirm everything. It's a good thing I did because Budget rental car had my reservation for the 17th to the 25th.... but.....they had the month as December 2003. We would have gotten to the airport and found no reservation and possibly no car. So, I had to set up new reservations, and of course, the price went from $200 to $240. Then I priced what it cost to drop off the car at Cape Canaveral on Sunday and then pick up another when we get off the ship and drop it off at MCO. This option was only $170 total, so we'll be doing that. Normally, I would not have even thought of dropping off, but I had read on these boards that they don't charge a drop off fee, and they were right.

disneysailor - don't worry about those taxes. If you don't get them done, just file an extension. My brother is also a CPA and he doesn't even start his until August.

thebets - Bentley is awesome. I work for Partners HealthCare and just about 90% of our finance department is from Bentley. Very highly recommended if he's interested in finance or IT. My father and brother went to BC and my dad is a season ticket holder for all of the football games. Either choice is great in my book. I'm actually starting to apply for various jobs at different colleges so that I can maybe snag some free tuition. I've sent resumes to Tufts, BC and UMASS Boston. I doubt I'll get a call but I'm just doing it for practice so far. I think it's totally who you know in that case.

Hello All!

College planning - EEK! I don't even want to think about that terror that is quickly approaching...our oldest DD is turning 13 in September...and then it's all down hill from there. We've got boys calling the house, wearing make up, this and that - school dances, a little boyfriend (thankfully his mom and I are friends) and he spends his allowance on little gifts for her for Valentine's day and her birthday. It's sweet on one hand and on the other - EEK is all I can say!

I have my taxes done - I just have to actually GO pick up my city ones. I just can not find a minute to go all the way over there and get them. We use the same office year after year - and it's not very conveniently located since we moved over here 4 years ago...oh well, that's something else I have to add into my agenda this week or next for sure!

I should get back to laundry - I swear that I'm doing the neighborhoods laundry some days - and today is one of those days. I also have to find the floor in the little ones room - there are toys everywhere!

Later...

Good morning all! I just called Disney reservations and asked which movies would be playing while we were on board. The lady was soooo nice. There are a lot of movies (who knows if there will be any time to see them). Here they are:

Brother Bear
Calendar Girls
Confessions of Teenage Drama Queen
Cold Mountain
Finding Nemo
Freaky Friday
Hildalgo
Home on the Range (just released!)
Lady Killers
Lord of the Rings
Master + Commander
Miracle
Pirates of Carribean
Teacher's Pet

All right, gotta go hit the treadmill! See you soon!

We will be on this sailing. We will have our 4 children, dd17, ds14, dd9, ds2.

This is our first cruise. We thought it would be the last opportunity for all the kids to be together for something like this since the oldest will be off to college next year.

Our past several vacations have always included at least one of the children's friends, but not this time.

We will be on Deck 6 Aft.

Glad you'll be joining us. I added your family to our cruise list on page 30 if you'd like to see who else is traveling. There are other kids around your children's ages as well as another child who is about to go off to college.

Okay, I've got our lime green buttons...Safe Sea...old swimsuits for the chlorinated hot tub...beach toys...a bag for the beach toys...lots of one and two-dollar bills for tips...list of spa treatments that I'd like...DH's bonine....walkie-talkies for stategic mission to acquire reservations....

Is there an advice website or thread I haven't read? I'm sure I'm forgetting something important. But who cares because ~ I'd rather be on the ship having forgotten something than be here at home worrying that I'm forgetting something!!!!! Let's go!!!!

Hi, RSMAEA508! Welcome.

RSMAEA508 thanks for the info, I'll add it to the list. MA will be cleared out! I have a son 13 and a daughter 10 who will probably be running into your kids in the clubs. Is your family excited? It's great to have a vacation where there is something for everyone.

Sopandbass- Hope your daughter is feeling better. My daughter just started sniffling and says it's all my fault since I kept telling them they're not allowed to get sick before (or during!) vacation.

Scottohiocpa- You're almost out of ties and we're almost on the Mickey Ship!!!!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :hyper: ::yes::
I'm way too excited and it's hard to get anything done beside checking these boards and Disneydreaming (with a little Universaldreaming thrown in!).

Oh! I forgot to mention in my last post. I talked with a rep (Peggy Sue) from the DCL and she confirmed that there WILL be a Palo Brunch on our cruise from 12:00 - 2:00. She suggested we make ressies as soon as we can, it fills up quick.

Some of us can do the SINGLE DIGIT DANCE!!!!! WOW OH WOW! We are leaving Friday April 16th at 2PM, yes I am taking the kids out of school an hour early...sue me! LOL Hopefully we will be pulling up to the Radisson by 3PM Saturday afternoon. I have ordered my TripTik from AAA, and will have that by Friday of this week, paid $700 to have the van fixed and read to go. I cannot believe we are leaving a WEEK from Friday! RSMAEA508 welcome!!! I can't wait to meet everyone. I am from MA also. Plymouth, soon to be Hanson. If we ever get an offer on this house. UGH.

I am mostly packed, and believe it or not, the 5 of us are all packed into one suitcase! I DID IT! LOL. I figured we would be mostly in our swim siuts all day, so I went light on the clothing. I just need to pack the toiletries, sunscreen and get the van movie ready for the drive.

I bought a bathing suit a Kohls. They were having a 40% off sale...so I got a nice bathing siut for a good price.

Wow, Our enthusiasm is building.... so much fun!!! I always do ALL the planning for our vacations, and altho the family enjoys, it is WAY more fun to share the rest of it with you!!!!!!

DisneySailor - Thanks for the list of movies!!!! I had no idea there would be so many! Something for everyone....

Travelwithkids - Thanks for the confirmation about brunch! We are soooo much more knowledgeable because of this board......

Disney1fan2002 - OMG!!! I truly didn't realize that we were doing the single digit dance as well (should I panic?????) We leave NEXT wednesday 4/14!!!!!!!) So, let's see, I just have to pack, get ready for my out-of-towm parents to visit, organize Easter for the kids, organize Easter dinner for the exdended family here, continue working, call top colleges and negociate financial packages (maybe beg...), and will I make it?? YES!!!!! Can't wait to meet you all!!! P.S. Disney1fan2002 - You will be very glad you minimized your packing - good job!! With every cruise, I vow to pack less. The interesting thing is that I think I've accomplished that, and yet, I still come home with clothes not worn. I continue my challenge to minimize.... You are right on when you realize you will basically be in swimsuits all the time!! Our big dilemma this time is whether to pack the snorkel fins... I insist on bringing the masks/snorkels (just don't want to put our mouths on 'public mouthpieces'), but the fins take up so much room.....The decision will be the last night, depending on the space available (not my style, but the DH's...)

Good luck to eveyone with the last minute details - it's so exciting to say that!!!! Can''t wait to meet you all....

thebets57 - I have to fly down to Miami for my job about once a year. Last time I was there, I went out to Key Largo with my snorkeling equipment, but I left my swim fins at home. I just wore water shoes and I did not have any trouble. Based on this, I plan on leaving our swim fins at home. My snorkeling style may be more relaxed than yours, however, and you may want them.

travel with kids- When you spoke to the DCL rep, did she mention if you sign up as soon as you get on the ship or if they start taking reservations at a later time? Also, did she say where the sign up would be? I think you sign up for the bridge tour and the wine tasting when you get on too. Does anyone know if that's true? The closer the trip gets, the more disorganized I feel:crazy: .

I admire those of you who can pack so little, I just can't weed out. Maybe I'll pull everything out and try again at the beginning of next week. I do know I DON'T want to do laundry on the ship!

Becky is still stuffy with a cough. She has a big gym show tomorrow night, so I hope she is feeling better (she keeps saying she's fine, but I know she doesn't want to miss school, so it's hard to tell). Here's hoping the cold leaves her and stays away from the rest of us! How is your daughter feeling sopandbass? Hopefully better!

See you soon!

Can we do that? Can the first one of us that gets on board and in line for Palo's make the ressies for ALL of us that want to go to the brunch? That would be simpliest...ok - previous sailors - this is the test...:teeth:

We're going on a MICKEY SHIP! HIP HIP HOORAY!

We are waiting to hear if we got this house we found - it would be absolutely perfect for us - 5 bedrooms and 4 baths - living room, full basement, full kitchen and dining area, breakfast room - HUGE room for DH's pool table room (only if we get this house) a room for me to have all my creative memories gear...it would be awesome - come on guy - call us back! Keep your fingers crossed all - I'm pulling out my hair here!!

Thebets57-Palo Brunch can be made on the first day in Palos.

Goofy601-I do not know if we can make ressies for other people. Somewhere I remember reading that you have to do this in person. Does anyone know? Let me get through the last couple days of my class and then I will call. Or if someone else calls, please let us know.

Disneysailor--I have way too much stuff!! As I tried on different outfits, I would change my shoes. When I was done with all my day wear and evening wear, I had 7 pairs of shoes!! I need to make some adjustments!!

Scottohiocpa-you forgot the tie countdown on your last posting:eek: !!

I have read that it is cool/cold in the theaters and dinning rooms. For those of you who have traveled DCL before, how cold is cold? Remember, we are Maine!!

Our DD-Isabel's fever is up a bit today from yesterday. But she seems to be perking up this evening. I'm desparate enough to offer her candy and cookies if she'll just get better.

At least she's doing this now, instead of hours before we have to leave. I'm sure she'll be better by next week. Thank you for sending healing thoughts her way.

This week is busy for me because I'm a church musician. Is it wrong that in the middle of directing Lenten songs I'm thinking about Mickey Mouse?:o

We're doing the single digits dance! Can't wait for next Friday at 5:00 pm. In fact, I'll probably go into my boss' office next Friday and beg him to let me leave a little early that day. OK, a lot early that day.

Mrs. SCOTTOHIOCPA had her former boss at work beg her to stay, so she might end up working a little longer. By the way, I don't know if we mentioned that she's an accountant, too. That's how we met at college.

SCOTTOHIOCPA - Thanks for the tip on the fins. I am inclined to leave them home as well. We wil have to see what room we have when we pack (the night before at some ongodly hour - LOL!!)

Goofy601 - Your new house sounds awesome!!! SO BIG!!! Who will clean all that square footage??? Good luck!!

Travelwithkids - DON'T take 7 pairs of shoes!!! Take if from me, NO ONE is paying attention, and I'm sure your family doesn't care....Just keep it simple - basic travel shoes (one pair - sneakers), sandals for the day at sea/ CC / Nassau (one pair), and one or two evening shoes. Keep it light - who will be carrying your bag afterall...I'm truly a conservative packer, and after 7 cruises, I STILL come home with clothes I never put on my back. Everything is basically casual.

We're getting so close - before you know it, Easter will have passed, and we all will be scrambling to finish the last minute details before setting sail...Can't wait!!!!! We leave the 14th...!!!!!!!!!!!!

goofy - WOW...that's a huge house!!!:earseek: :earseek: :earseek: I'm so jealous!!! I always wish we didn't live in Mass so that we could afford a big house with lots of land but unfortunately I have to live close to my ex husband since he takes the kids every Tues and every other weekend.

Well...I just spent 4 hours cleaning my house in preparation for the slumber party from heck. Finally people rsvp'd so we have 4 8 yr olds showing up at 6:30pm Thursday night. I have prepared a schedule so we'll see how that goes. I bought Nickelodian trivia tonight so that will be fun (for me too :p ) to play. I think we'll bring it with us to play on the plane too.

I have major bigtime butterflies in my stomach regarding this trip!!! I think it just is beginning to hit me that we're flying on a plane. This will be the first time that the girls and I have flown all by ourselves so I'm starting to get nervous but I just have to be strong for the three of us so I can't think about the things that i'm nervous about.

My basement is slowly drying. I declined the cleaning companies that I had called since they're quoting between $800 and $1,500 to clean up. I have a trash guy coming tomorrow to throw out all of the clothes/christmas stuff/toys that were ruined for about $100 and I'm going to borrow my ex's dehumidifier as soon as he's done with it.

I'm so excited!!!! I mean so far it's been so far away in my mind because I knew I had to get through the monthly close, the birthday parties and Easter but pretty soon it will only be Easter that I have to get through and luckily my sister is doing it this year so I just have to show up and eat the ham!! :teeth: :teeth:

Well everyone keep up your enthusiasm!!!

goofy601- First of all, good luck with your house, it sounds great! I tried to call Reservations this afternoon to find out about one person making reservations for everyone but I didn't have as good of luck as I had with the last person I spoke with. First of all, I could barely understand her. Basically, she said one person from each room would have to make the reservation but we could request to sit together. However, she ended the call by saying that we'd have to ask on the ship because she really doesn't know. Maybe if someone else calls you can get better information, but by this call I think it would be risky to think the first person there could make everyone's reservation.

bostonlass- I relate to that butterfly thing. Beside being a big worrier anyway, we had a very sad event at the end of our last cruise and I think some of that is surfacing as we're about to embark on this trip. As far as traveling by yourself, I used to fly with the kids on my own a lot when they were little ( you may have realized by now that my husband is a bit:rolleyes: of a workaholic, although a really great guy) and I found people were really nice and helpful. I'm sure you'll do great and it will help to give your girls self-confidence when they see that a mom can carry off a big trip all on her own! Have fun with the party, get lots of sleep tonight!

thebets57- Can you come pack for me?

Mrs. Scottohiocpa- It must feel great to be wanted! I hope everything works out the way you want it to with your job. By the way, we scheduled another appt. to get our taxes done tomorrow night, let's hope we have that dumb paper.

sopandbass- I hope your dd is on the road to recovery. Are you a singer too? Are we going to see you perform Karaoke? You should all be relieved to know, I will only be a Karaoke spectator.
Disney1fan2002- We should be landing in Orlando about the same time you leave MA. When does everyone else leave?

Hope everyone is getting their last minute details taken care of. See you in 11 days!

We'll be heading to the Cleveland airport with a stop at my parents to drop off our 10 month old Shetland Sheepdog. Our flight is at 12:30 and we arrive at MCO at 3:00. We are hoping to get our rental car and bags in time to drive over to Cocoa in time to see Magic depart. It will be close, but if we miss it, it won't be the end of the world.

Then we're going over to Grill's seafood and having dinner and drinks out on their dock. Then back to the hotel so the kids can go swimming in the cool pool at the Rad. We have to work in a trip to the beach and Ron Jon's somewhere, and then over to the terminal on the 11:30 shuttle. A lot to cram into 24 hours, but hey, I'll get some sleep at work when we get back from vacation.:teeth:

Did everyone get that tip off mousesavers.com like we did?

We also got a good deal on Universal tickets from mousesavers.com using a Mastercard deal.

We are flying out of Long Island Islip Sat morning so we will have a 3 1/2 drive from the Boston area. Providence RI flights on Southwest had sold out within an hour or so of opening up. Has the closed Bridge in Bridgport on I-95 been opened back up?

Sea World is well worth it if you can get there. A couple years back we included Sea World among the busy schedule and ended up going back a second day. We were amazed that they kids actually asked to go back instead of going to another theme park.

It may not be quite as enjoyable if you feel rushed but you can adjust what you try to do. You should check the hours to see what time they operate that day.

Hello everyone! It's the Mrs. (ScottOhioCPA)

Wow! Just started getting clothes out for packing. Cruises are difficult since you need dressy, casual, beach stuff, and who knows what the weather will be like in Ohio when we leave & return. And then the shoes dilemma. I don't want to think about all the shoes I could take.

DisneySailor - BTW thanks for getting the bubbles. Great Idea.
About the chilliness -I remember on Carnival that I was cold all the time inside because of the A/C.

Travelwithkids- Glad you finished your class! Hopefully we'll see you at the Radisson.

SopandBass - Glad your DD is better. We used to have Sea World in Ohio (Aurora), but Six Flags bought them out. We really miss Sea World and were thinking that now we will have to go to Florida to go there.

Goofy601 - Your house hunting sounds like my job hunting. Waiting for the perfect one! Good Luck!

Bostonlass - your boss sounds a lot like my soon to be Ex Boss:(
You have my sympathies! (Great commercial) Hope the party went well though.

My husband's work is giving him a really hard time about leaving because it's such a "critical time."   This exact thing that happened the last time we took a big family vacation which was TWO years ago this April. I figure that if the President of the United States can take a vacation, the world WILL survive without my dh for one week! Also, no dumb paper= no taxes. I was really hoping to get that taken care of before we go. I think our accountant is going to stop taking our calls soon.

OK, enough of that business, in the words of goofy601, "We're going on a Mickey Ship!!!!."

My kids got the cutest post cards today - from Buzz Lightyear, Belle, Cinderell and Stitch! They were all amazed that they all knew that they were coming on the ship! That is awesome!!

I have to get ready for church - so I'll check in again tomorrow. I really can not contain my excitement - it's getting so close!!

Goofy601-- Did you cry when your children received the postcard in the mail? I did!! On Christmas Eve, when DH came home and had the mail with the postcard in it--I cried!!! I am a huge sap!

I hear you all on the packing!! When I had a job that required me to travel weekly (before dh & ds, dd) I had packing down to a science. Now, forget it. However, in my own defense, I wore every outfit I packed for our week long trip to Mexico. It is the same situation-casual stuff during the day and dressier stuff during the evening. However, I only took 3 pairs of shoes. I am still trying to weed out the 7 I have lined up!!! However, let me say, the BEST invention is luggage on wheels.:)

This next week is going to be crazy:crazy2: !! Dh is going on a job interview (please send good vibes on Monday!!). My supervisor is not going to be in school M,T or W and we know that another teacher will be out on M & W. This for me, means very early mornings (I need to be at, in my classroom by 7:00am) and a load of resonsibility. All I want to do is pack and leave:teeth:

As far as us making it to the Radisson by late afternoon---please do not count us in. I think we will arrive early evening. But who knows!! Maybe.

Lots to do today...clean, get ready for Easter Dinner (at our house) and PACK!!!!

Wish you all a very Happy and Peaceful Easter.....Lee

Sorry i have been so inactive it has been a crazy week! Dh is home safe and sound and we just got done redoing our living room flooring tearing up carpet and putting in laminate so needless to say he is having issues just relaxing.

i will try to catch up on everything that i have missed and actually do personals tomarrow just wanted to let everyone know we are still going.

In the words of goofy601
WE ARE GOING ON A MICKEY SHIP!!!!!

:bounce: It's getting closer and closer and even closer, still! :Pinkbounc We're going on a MICKEY SHIP! Hip Hip HOORAY!

I was all teary-eyed when my kids got their post cards. My oldest ds was all curious as to how the characters knew we were going to be on the ship. My youngest dd was mad-she couldn't "open" the letter...duh - it's a postcard - then again - she's only going to be 3 on Tuesday.

Happy Easter Everyone! I am running out to the store to get the rest of the little do dahs I need for the kids Easter baskets - I'm an unorganized mother this year -- too much working and not enough playing! Cheerio! See you all soon!

Hey all!! I think we are all so busy, with the holidays, as well as getting ready for the cruise!!

Guardwife - thank goodness your husband made it home safely!! Hope all is going OK - sounds like it's a bit hectic..

We leave weds early AM...so far (for all you type A's on this board!!), I have my DD's clothes ready to put in a suitcase....yes, that's all!!! I asked my DS to get his clothes out and on his bed, so I could check them, wash/mend/iron whatever...No such luck so far.........

My parents arrived this afternoon for the Easter weekend. I'm very blessed that they can still travel here (they live 4 hours away, and are 72 & 75). So far they are doing great, but each time I see them lately, they look a little bit older and more feeble - especially my Dad. He has a number of cardiac problems, and I see it taking a toll on him. He's on a medication called Coumadin (blood thinner), which obviously, is really important. Tonight, he couldn't remember where he put it, and we spent the better part of a half hour looking for it - it ended up being in the side pocket of his travel kit. It's scary watching your parents age before your eyes, and I can see the writing on the wall here......it's VERY possible with each passing holiday, that the next one might not ever be the same, depending on their health. The inevitable really freaks me out.......I am so grateful for each 'normal' day, week, holiday that we have...

Anyway......we leave Weds am - pick up at an EARLY hour - I think 6:00am (I need to check the itenerary!) Altho I'm not packed, I do feel ready from the standpoint of research (thank you disboards.com!!!) We're really looking forward to meeting all of you at Scoops!! We love meeting friendly, new people, so this will be easy...... Maybe we will get lucky, and be seated with one of you for dinner!

We're off to the Animal Kingdom Lodge, and 4 days of exhausting, but fun!! park exploration. I'm sure we will be more than ready for a relaxing Wonder cruise. We can't wait!!

Good Morning and Happy Easter everyone. Hope you all have a wonderful day with your families!

from the bets57
I am so grateful for each 'normal' day, week, holiday that we have...
I can appreciate what your going through. My grandparents had always been like parents to me. At the end of our last cruise, my family had been trying to reach us but it turned out we had lost our cell phone on board. We ended up being trapped at the car drop off place (nightmare) and couldn't get home until 4:00 a.m. When we arrived we found out Grampa was in the hospital and he passed away a few days later (at least I was able to see him first!). My grandparents had been our longstanding Disney escorts and pals and that was our first trip to FL without them. My gramma lives here with my mom now but is quite frail. Going to Fl brings back lots of happy memories but it is tough too. I'm glad your having a nice visit with your parents.

Guardwife-I've been thinking about your family and am so glad everything is going well!

travel with kids- Send your dh good wishes for his interview tomorrow

FIVE days until we leave. There are so many things to do before then that it is very overwhelming. It will feel great to actually land in Orlando and be on with our vacation.

See you all NEXT SUNDAY at Scoops, can't wait!!!!:hyper:

Happy Easter!!!

I just packed our clothes:) I'm so glad that I have all of the birthdays and holidays out of the way!!! I have a lot more organizing and packing to do but I feel good knowing we have everything we need...just have to get it all together. I bought these things called "earplanes" at CVS. They were expensive but I think they'll be worth it for the kids. As a little kid I used to go away about 3 times a year to the Virgin Islands with my parents and almost always had a huge earache each time. Not fun. These things are supposed to stabalize the pressure upon take off and landing. We'll see if I blew $20 for nothing once we get there. Unfortunately they're only good for two flights and we have two connecting flights each way so I had to get two each for the girls.

I bought a new car :teeth: :teeth: I bit the bullet and went into Toyota just "to look". ha! I pick up a Toyota Sienna tomorrow night. I'm gonna pick up the kids after work and then we're all going to get the car. I'm so excited! Now I can finally take their friends to the movies, etc. 'cause i'll have room. It has a dvd in the back seat with wireless ear phones too so they can be entertained. ::yes:: ::yes::

Travel - I'm sending positive vibes your way!!! Here's hoping he gets the job!!!

Goofy - I don't think you're unorganized at all....my goodness you have so many people to think about I don't know how you to it!!!:earseek: :earseek:

thebets - you must be so excited! Wed will come in a blink of an eye!!! We'll be there Friday and maybe we'll bump into each other at O'Hana's on Saturday :teeth:

guardwife - I'm so happy your hubby is home safe and sound. My sister's brother in law has to go to Iraq in June. He is an auditor for the defense dept and a lot of their dept is needed down there to see what the heck is going on with Halliburtan. We just hope he's going to a safer spot than what we've been hearing about on the news lately.

I can really relate to watching parents age. My parents are 71 and 73 and my mom forgets a lot. I just try to enjoy my time with them to the fullest and have my kids visit as much as possible.

Well time to print that packing list so I can get things moving!

Hope everyone's Easter was great. The kids got enough stuff to last until the Fourth of July.

I just finished banging out my last customer's tax returns. I do them on the side for a little extra vacation money. Now DW and I just have to worry about packing.

I can't wait to get these last five workdays behind me and get to Florida.

Bostonlass - I've used Earplanes for about 4 years now. They will work for more than just 2 times - there are small inserts in them that allow the air to slowly seep through microscopic holes to slowly equalize the pressure. These small holes get clogged with dust, etc. as they get used, but under normal conditions, I use them for about 12 flights or 1 year. Just make sure to store them in the blue sleeve they come in when not in use. Don't forget gum to chew, that also helps. If anyone has a stuffy nose, a little benadril beforehand also helps.

Can't wait to watch the travel channel tonight with all the disney stuff. Mrs SCOTTOHIOCPA and I gathered together all the miscellaneous stuff to pack, but we still haven't started on clothes. Maybe tonight we'll start pulling out all that stuff.

The forecast for Ohio is rainy and 40's, so we're looking forward to 80's and sun even more. Today's forecast for Orlando is only a high of 69, so it reminds me to pack some warm clothes as well as shorts. Before this, we have always gone to Florida in the summer or May at the earliest, so we think of Florida as always being 95 degrees. I think it will seem strange to be standing in line for a ride at the MK without feeling like the sun was frying me like an egg.

DH wanted to let them fend for themselves - but I conned a couple of friends to take turns coming over to feed and turn the lights on and off for them. I have to remember to call the kids schools and leave messages - I sent notes - but they'll be calling out the Marines if I don't CALL and report them absent as well...doing that after I get off the 'puter. I have a couple loads of laundry to finish, clean the bathrooms - make all the beds - and then it's off we go to the MICKEY SHIP!! :hyper:

Woohoo!! My dh was faxed the last k1 at 5:45 and the accountant was here at 6:15-our taxes are finally done! Our personal taxes are going to get e-filed so there are just some business taxes that need to get mailed tomorrow. Our accountant is awesome!!!! I can't believe he hasn't quit on us yet, every year is some weird new problem. Now if the packing were only done too.

After reading the posts about the suitcase weight, I tried to weigh ours and two of them seemed overweight. I think I managed to redistribute everything the right way, but it's hard to tell. For checked luggage we have 3 suitcases and a garment bag. I don't think I've ever traveled with so much luggage including when the kids were babies and we had the portacrib, etc. and we'll still have carry on stuff.

DW and I are trying to pack on an orderly fashion. We have everything out on the bed but we are trying to put everthing into 3 suitcases and a garment bag in some sort of logical way. We don't want to spend the first night at the Radisson trying to find Sunday's clothes for 4 people.

disneysailor- way to go on those taxes! Now you can worry about whether to have the chocolate cake or the cheesecake instead.

goofy601- Have a fun ride down. Just tell your kids it's a new Disney ride that's really, really long.

Disney1fan2002- We'll look for you at the Radisson and Grills. You can download directions and a 10% off coupon for Grills at www.visitgrills.com. We'll have our pins or something lime green on. I was wondering why everyone didn't type with a eastern accent.

Sorry I haven't written...kind of hectic finishing up financials and packing etc. I can't believe it's almost here for us!!! I am so grateful to everyone in this thread and to everyone on these boards!!! I would never have known half the stuff otherwise!

Goofy - I didn't even think of calling the kids' school!! I wrote notes to both of the teachers so I think I'll just leave it at that. They won't be missing much since it's the day before vacation anyhow so I didn't have any guilt whatsoever!!!

sopandbass - when your Isabelle isn't in the playgroup - maybe she can play with Cara. Cara will not be able to play in the groups - unless it is with a babysitter - she has some internal issues and is not yet potty trained. We have been working with her and found out this week from the DR that we shouldn't be bothering. We have to fix the inside first before we go there...oh, well...hopefully before she's 30! We've got to find the lighter side of things in life these days!! Looking forward to meeting you and your little angel!

Scottohiocpa - we'll see you soon...and it's a beautiful day in OHIO! I had the kids open up the house while I was at work - for the last day. I stopped by both jobs and said my good-byes! Hee hee - we'll be in Sunny FLORIDA and Nassau - and of course on a beautiful MICKEY SHIP - and they will all be slaving away!

bostonlass - if I didn't call the schools - they would seriously call out the Marines. Our schools are very picky! It's good and bad - but it's done! They are out that week for personal family reasons - TONS OF FUN!!

disneysailor - sounds much better to have sitters for the cats and dogs - my SIL is coming tonight to learn how to take care of my fish. I have a day sitter and a night sitter. Feed my little babies in the a.m. and turn on the light and the other sitter for the evening to turn off the light and feed them. I'm sad - but there is a lot of $$ invested in that tank!

See everyone soon. We'll be at the terminal at 10 am - with sweet smiling faces ~ grinning from ear to ear...and all of our kids will have yellow t-shirts with DISNEY on the front! See you all SUNDAY - cuz- WE'RE GOING ON A MICKEY SHIP - HIP HIP HOORAY!

Finally! Scott's coutndown to the Mickey Ship:
:smooth: NO more ties!:smooth:

Time to go home and repack. I just found out the airlines have changes their rules and you can only have 50 lbs. max in each bag or they fine you $25 to $50. It used to be 70 lbs. but they changed it some time in the last several months. Our big bag had about 60 lbs. in it last time, so we may have to go back and take some out of it.

My DD made us a sign for the meet at scoops, so look for a lime green sign. See everyone on the boat or at the Radisson.

I guess I misunderstood what time we were meeting at Scoops. I showed up just before we set sail, shortly after we set sail and a little while later but didn't see anyone in green pins.

Anyway, I'm sorry I missed everyone. Did you end up having a group for brunch at Palo? We had brunch there and the waiter said there was a group of 12 having sweet pizza (so we had to wait for ours :D )...was that all of you?

Wasn't the cruise great??????????? I hope everyone had a great time!!!!

sopandbass- So sorry we missed you. We did meet at Scoops right after the drill and were there for a while before going upstairs to join the Sailaway Party. The group included us, scottohiocpa, travel with kids, thebets57, goofy601, guardwife, cori4disney and of course everyone's families. It was nice to see everyone, but it was pretty chaotic with the party going on so it was hard to talk. We bumped into a few families throughout the cruise which was nice. DH and I had a romantic table for two at the Palo brunch, so it wasn't us hogging all the dessert pizza:) .

Again, I really wish that we had a chance to meet you and some of the other nice people from this site, but I'm glad you had a great time! We had a fantastic vacation too!

Hello All!
We arrived home safely today. We spent the afternoon at the beach on a cute little island (Amelia) and headed home after that. It was a LONG ride - but thankfully the kids did excellent again - couldn't have asked for better behaved children for that long of a trip. I did tell DH that any trip that we take over 3 hours - will have to be a flight from now on - it was exhausting to Cori4disney and DH to do all the driving (they rented the van and were the only 2 that could drive).

I certainly enjoyed getting to meet everyone - and hope to continue to chat with everyone.

We did not book again on the cruise - but will get together with another NEW travel agent and will book again for 2 years (and include air fare...and all the other little goodies - and I'm still not going to the park!)

guardwife - give me a holler - I have a great photo of you and your family that i will send to you!

Hope to hear from everyone real soon that you arrived safely home!

I'm so sorry that I didn't get to meet you all, though we were lucky enough to be able to sit with Travelwithkids :) I was at Scoops before the sail away party with my pin on but once the party got going I was up on the stage dancing away :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

We had a wonderful time and are thinking of doing it again next year with my new husband and his two kids, though we'll see if finances will allow us to do so.

It's so hard to come down from this trip!!! My kids are with their dad this weekend and I'm looking at our suitcases pondering when I'm gonna get off my you know what and unpack!!

Hope you all had a great time!

Thanks to everyone for making this trip as much fun as it could be. All of your hints and suggestions helped us to make the most of the trip.

It was great to see those of you who made it to the meet and for those of you who didn't, I am sure it was because you were having such a great time at the sailaway party.

In our haste to pack on the last night, we accidentally packed all of Ryan's shoes in the regular luggage. The poor guy had to wear his socks to breakfast and then off the ship!

Maybe we'll see all of you again some day.

:smooth: Oh no! Back to wearing ties!:smooth:

We got home yesterday morning.:(

I am sorry I missed the meet at Scoops. I was up on stage dancing with my daughter, I couldn't break away from her. She became a dancing queen on this trip! The girl loves to dance!

I did meet Lisa (Goofy601) met her in line at the terminal, and kept running into her all over the place. We were even a few chairs away from each other on Castaway Cay. My Dh was jealous she got a hammock. LOL. Like with 3 kids he could even dream of relaxing on a hammock. Lisa, it was great to meet you, how did your kids like the Kids club? We had to force our kids out of there. I am thinking of pressing kidnapping charges against Disney. LOL. The end of cruise show the kids put on was adorable. Sara-Ann was in the front row, dancing and clapping. Danny was on the floor with the little ones, but he was in the back row, and Patrick was swallowed up by alot of kids.

This was by far the best vacation my kids have ever had. They had a blast! DH wants to do it again, and we really don't even have interest in a 7 day cruise. The 4 day was a perfect amount of time.

Agian, I am sorry I didn't meet everyone. But I thought of you all on the ship, wondering if you were all having as much fun as we were!

We had a great time. It was great to put a face to a name. I would love to go back and experience it again.

Funny story!...We went to Epcot on Thursday. Dh, ds and dd went on a ride and I decided to get a cup of coffee and enjoy the flower show. I ordered the coffee and the very nice lady told I owed her $2. (and some odd cents). I must of looked confused because she repeated it. I, being in shock that I was back to reality, said "Oh, I have to pay." By this time I had two cast members asking me for the money!! I explained that I just walked off the DCL and onto the Epcot grounds (via a short drip in our van). They were very nice and waited for me to give them their $$ before they gave me my coffee.

Our ride home was ok--very long--but uneventful. I keep thinking that someday dh will get tired of driving and decide to fly.

It was great to meet all of you and I am sure I will see you all on the boards in the future.

I am happy for you guys! I still have not had a minute to scrap any of my pictures yet - I'm so jealous!

I've missed hearing from everyone - hope that everyone is having as many withdrawals as we are. We have started our savings jar of loose change for going back to the MICKEY SHIP! As of now we have a "loose" reservation for next Christmas (2005)! Hip Hip HOORAY~!

Hi all!
Hope everyone is doing well. It sure is hard to bounce back from vacation. We have our pictures in the album but nothing too fancy. I'm pretty proud they're done since our Las Vegas/Grand Canyon pictures from two years ago are still sitting in a bucket.

Goofy601, I hope you get to go on another cruise, that would be great, especially a Christmas cruise! My FIL wants us all to go on a NCL cruise out of NY next April. I hope we haven't been too spoiled by those nice Disney staterooms and kids club.

When we returned from our last Disney cruise, my grampa was in the hospital and ended up passing away a few days later. Now my gramma has been in the hospital. She was sent home yesterday diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver (NEVER drinks). She also hasn't been able to eat at all but they say it's not related and after MANY tests can't figure out what's wrong. Anyway, it's been tough here and it really made me appreciate my vacation all the more.

Hope everything is going well for everyone. Did you ever get your sweatshirts back Scott? Tried to e-mail Julie a few weeks ago but don't know if it worked. Hope everyone has a great summer and some fun vacation plans for the future!
