I was just wondering if anyone has flown with ATA and what you thought about them? We would be flying out of Midway airport in Chicago. I can get a price of 838.00 for the 4 of us. Thanks for any replies on this!

Kimbra we used them in 1996 and are using them again in July. Or flights in 96 were fine. I was able to get 2 r/ts for $339 out of Midway the price dropped almost $100 just for taking the earliest flight home.

Have flown ATA numerous times from Midway to Orlando. Found them to be satisfactory, but they always seem to take a while to get your luggage off the plane.

I have used ATA on numerous occassions. More than I can even remember. I have never had a problem with them. (Knock on wood.) They are basically a no-frills airline, meaning there is no first class, no frequent flyer club and no meals on most of the domestic flights. They do have a beverage service, etc. They are currently replacing most of their fleet with brand new Boeing 737-800s and 757-300s. In fact we are flying them this August and we are scheduled on one of the new 757s. I was able to book R/Ts for 164.00 during one of their many fare sales.

We have flown ATA out of Midway many times (to Orlando, Las Vegas, LA). No frills, no food (okay by me, I hate airline food), but mostly okay in terms of on-time arrival. Baggage handling could be better. We usually have a long wait for the luggage to come out with Midway appearing to be the slowest. We are flying them again in mid-July to MCO.
