Doing an on-the-cheap trip to WDW in November, using frequent flyer miles, DVC points, and unexpired days on our old park tickets. We were unable to book into any of the DVC resorts for the period, so we are staying in a cabin at FW. Never stayed there before, and looking forward to it, but need to know if the resort has facilities for storing perishables for us since we will be checking in in the AM and want to get our grocery shopping done on the way. Can anyone confirm that they can do this, or will we have to go out for our groceries on our first evening in the cabin? Thanks all!!!

Oh Wow....good question......what DO they do if you show up with your groceries and they don't have a cabin available??? Course, it's YOUR problem...but WDW must have some plan in place....it MUST happen....

Since no one has given you the answer, I'd call the front desk and ask--they are very helpful! They even helped us find a clear route in to FW a couple of summers ago--many roads were closed due to smoke from the fires. That was an interesting trip...!

Thanks; I probably will call them soon to find out. I just assumed that someone on here would know; it seems like the DIS'ers know EVERYTHING! :)

OK, called today to the FW front desk to ask them. (Would've called sooner, but get unlimited minutes on my phone on the weekends...)

They do not have any refrigerated or frozen food storage at FW if you need it for your groceries. He said that any non-refrigeratables would be fine, as the baggage check area is air conditioned, but not to buy any perishables without knowing that our room is ready. Guess we'll just wait to shop after the first night; it gives us a reason to do Trails End that night!
