My DH seems to recall that there was a snack bar at the pool but it was only open limited hours. Can anyone confirm this?

That's right. We finally caught it open this summer--as I recall, just in the middle of the day. They had cold sandwiches and chips and drinks. That's about it. Most people eating at lunch time had picnic lunches.
