Hey, I'll bet this is a lot like winning the lottery.....
Have you already found a bunch of new best friends?
Are long forgotten relatives busting out of the wood work?
wait, maybe that is what went wrong with your bannister....mysterious relatives were already coming out of the woodwork and that was the favorite spot!

I also received my RSP yesterday, and I was surprised to see I won everything on the list (some 40 items) EXCEPT the Cats framed set! The good news is we won the Metamorphosis set (LE100), which we wanted the most!
The total amount due is bigger than our house payment! I think it's safe to say I'll be turning down some of the sets, unless someone wants them. If you are interested in the following sets, email or IM me, and we can work something out. I will be calling Disney before Sept. 10 and cancelling these items, if no one expresses an interest.
#10: Horned King (LE1000)
#40: A Dream is a Wish (LE75)
#44: Mickey Through Time (LE75)
#56: Through the Years With Mickey (LE300)
You can look at these items here:

I still didn't get my RSP, but I did get the one I sent in for my Friend.
I was very happy to read that she got everything she asked for. That was such a relief, I wanted her to have everything she wanted from this event.
So I guess I have to wait the weekend for my RSP until Tuesday! I tried to call event services but they told me they don't have access to the computer to see what I got and I have to wait until the mail comes. Tuesday is so far away. Peggie

Josh's RSP arrived, but mine did not.
But no problem because his RSP includes the two sets we wanted most -- Donald through the Years & Goofy through the Years.

James,
I would be interested in the Horned King pin. Although I am not going to be able to attend the event in person I am still going to try and collect the Artist Choice pins and the maps. So if you still have the #10 pin available, please let me know. Ah, the start of another pin adventure.
Jeff
We got our RSPs yesterday too. And, like most, we got EVERYTHING on our list which includes 2 Tinkerbell box sets and 2 Mickey thru the years 3 pin sets--both LE300. Will have to think about what I want to do.

I got mine back last week too. I was expecting for it to be like the toontown event where I felt lucky just to get what I really wanted and a few other pins to trade. I got 37 pins!!! The only one I didn't get was one of the skyway pins on the 2nd RSP. I wonder how many returns Disney is going to get. I may have to return a few before the event myself.
I also noticed that people have already put them on ebay. I've only seen one with a bid though.

This was posted on another board but I am concerned about it now too.
Do you thin k the computer spit out a copy of what everyone wanted and not the RSP the way it should have been?
It seems like everyone got what they asked for so far and that doesn't look good to me.
Are we going to get there on Friday and find out that there was a mistake and they sold out of the pins we asked for because they gave them out to the first people there on Thursday?
Just a thought. Who DIDN'T get what they wanted? Peggie

Peggie - I was starting to think the same thing until Mike didn't get 1 pin he asked for and someone else we know didn't get 3. And didn't they close registration somewhere around or under 12000? That would mean that a lot of people would get a lot of pins.

I think there are a lot of LE sizes that are greater than or equal to the number of registered guests (e.g. the logo pin with LE 2500). (Isn't the gift an LE 2500?) I think that's kinda nice. This way you can get the pins if you registered and ordered it. The litmus test is if more than 25 guests ordered an LE 25, which we have no way of knowing.

oopp........ NOT 12000!!!! The gift is limited to 1200 so there probably won't be more than 1150 regestrants.

But not quite all.
I don't think we have any gaping holes, except a Skyway pin for Deb-Epcotkilterfan. :(
I was careful not do duplicate except for our two top choices. So, we do have two Donald through the Years framed sets (LE 50) and two Goofy through the Years framed sets (LE 75).
So, unless I get gutsy and try to sell them very quickly . . . they'll be going back.

I don't mean this as a flame, just a question. Is it common practice to ask for everything and then try to decide what to keep ? I've only been to one event but I didn't ask for more then I had money set aside for and then ended up getting even less. I'm about to send in a RSP for another event and was wondering if it was accepted to use the ask for everything method. I regret a couple of items I missed out on last year but just thought it was part of the game. I don't want to disappoint anyone else on their wish list by getting an item and not keeping it.

I haven't actually done this myself but in answer to the question, this is the first year that people have been this successful at getting the items they wanted. The reason many requested more than they wanted is in the previous events they stood a better chance of getting more of what they wanted. As for returning them, if they return them at the event or refuse them, they would go into the third rsp for people who did not get what they wanted the first time.

I think this is a reaction to prior RSPs. Order everything you like and then worry about it if you get more than you can afford.
For example, last year I put on my RSP the Naughty and Nice Dragons that I wanted, but didn't put the Figment statue on the RSP, because I couldn't afford both. Well, I didn't get the Naughty and Nice Dragons, and the Figment statues were sold out, so I missed out on both.

I didn't get my RSP still, so I called today. Tina from Event services faxed me what I got, Everything I asked for. I am really worried now that there was a problem, it just seems funny that my friend and I both got both of the LE 25 sets.
Daber, I was upset about the Figment statue too, I thought it was a little too expensive, then when I saw it at the event I really wanted it, but it was sold out. Then they wound up GIVING them to everyone who ordered them for FREE. I was a teeny tiny bit angry with that one. I think if they were giving that set out they should have made more and given them to everyone. They already messed us up with the gift by making twice as many as they listed and people can't complain about the edition size if it is free. Peggie

I got everything i wanted, too incl. the LE 75 Genie set for my pinbuddy Robert here in munich....
Oh.. i did not get the LE 10 Set.. so any leftovers on this ??? .-)
So i will start a new thread for all the "leftovers" others might be interested in. Maybe we can help each other and i can offer space on my 3rd RSP, too
See you soon

Since we're usually working with more than one RSP among the family....we often end up with extras. I try to only duplicate the things we wouldn't want to miss. It worked pretty well this time.
I have those two framed sets to return, and just a few of extra pins.
But I agree with Dave's approach....put down whatever you want, because if you miss one of your biggies, and you didn't put down that other biggie, you could miss out on both.
And Peggy -- I don't think it's that odd that you and your friend both got the LE 25 set. Last year we sat at a table with a couple that received two LE 12 dragons, and two LE 25 something else! It's just odd like that with random selection.
But here's my odd question -- how many people did not get the Skyway pin(s) they put down? We had a total of four requested -- one on each of my RSP and Josh's. We only got one! I have a working theory: There may be a lot of anticipated breakage on this pin, and so they held back more than usual. I have no proof, no info, no rumor. I'm just wondering aloud.

i know they would be popular, so i did put them very high on the top places on my RSPs .. as far as i know they work them from top to bottom ... so maybe you had them on one of the lower places ????
Stephan
My husband and I both got the skyway pins and had them about midway down on the list, maybe around 10th. I have a few things to return. Still haven't decided if I'm keeping the second tinkerbell box set or keeping it as a HG trader later. Also got 2 of the 3 pin Mickey through the years box set.
