What dates and resorts are you being told are sold out for AP?

I'm on hold now. Thanks for all the post it's passing the time. :) Just curious those that are being told that their dates are sold out for ap rates, what dates and resorts are you requesting?

I have a Boardwalk ressie currently for 10/13 to 10/19 at rack rate. When I orginally booked it I was told the hotel was wide open. Hope I can get my dates covered

I asked about GF for Dec 1 - 6. Nothing available there, any room type. Maybe someone else will have better luck with their dates. We already have flights, so are locked into dates.

I just booked Carribean because there was no deluxe availability at an AP rate the whole week of 11/2-11/9. I am trying to look on the bright side -- I will be at Disney and will have more $ for food. ;)

There was availabilty for 10/18 check in but since I only wanted 2 nights I didn't inquire as to what they had for that date.

I booked a Boardwalk Garden Suite for 369/nt.

I was told that the WL is available Oct 13-16 and 19-22 but not the 16 -19 which is what I wanted! Waaa! So if you're interested in splitting up your stay you could always go there for part of it. Actually nothing I asked for was available during those dates except AKL which is where we're staying this weekend. Oh well, maybe I'll try again later....

In fact, my agent told me there was no AVAILABILITY (period) at the All Stars for 10/17.

Things seemed to open up on the 18th, but no moderates had AP rates on the 17th either.

We took the AKL, seven nights, $129 + taxes.

NOTHING at all for WL for 10 8-14 or at AKL or any of the AS's.
But I just got the Polynesian for $227.00 w/ tax per night.
I guess I should be happy I got anything at the rate.
And.... I only had to wait a total of an hour and a half to get it. UGH!
Update: The CM said Polynesian only property on site available for code AMI for above dates.

I was told there is nothing at GF for Dec. 6 to the 16. My dates. I have a reservation with a package, but wanted to see if I could get concierge. Nope. No Lagoon View either.

I'm going to try for CR Concierge later in the day. We'll see....at least there was some excitement this morning!

Had a GREAT CM about 9sh this am. My dates were 11/6 - 11/11, no availability at Deluxe or Villas but got CSR at a great rate. Forces me to try a new resort I have wanted to try. I mayl keep trying for a deluxe but she said the availability was slim to begin with on these AP rooms.

I wasn't able to get AKL standard view for 10/24 and 10/25, but did get water view for 368 taxes included for both nights. That's certainly better than the 240 per night AAA (taxes included) rate I had earlier.

Now if a savanna view doesn't come up, I'm sure we'll be ok.

This is DrMickey's DW. We got CBR for $99 a night. I "think" that included tax, but I see on MouseSavers that Mary lists some folks getting the Moderates for $79.

We aren't a AAA member but do have APs so this works great for us. Glad you were able to finagle such a great deal, too!

I was able to get Nov. 13-16 at BC w/v for 699.00 total w/tax. But I couldn't get AKL for my Nov. 8-13. What I am trying to find out is if there were any deluxe AP rates to begin with for that time period. ShouldI keep calling back?

when I called 1st thing this morning, by the time I got through there was only Poly GV, WL Concierge, AKL savannah and standard view and All Star Music. This was for dates 11/22-27.
I had previously booked BWI for $366/nt inc. tax; I booked All Star Music (per my BF's request based on the availability) for $386 incl. tax for all 5 nights. What I really wanted was POR...:(

When I called back around 11 AM, the only thing the CM said was available was the AKL Savannah, but she was pretty snotty so I don't know if this is true or if she just didn't feel like looking...

I guess I'll keep trying!

Yep, I crunched the numbers and it just wasn't worth it to me to book 4 days of our trip under a separate reservation and have to put down the additional deposit. There isn't enough value in the deal to make it worth it to us to change things out. I will be happy enough with what I already have. This also prevents us from feeling forced to go to WDW next year. We want to do some different things next year. It was a fun morning waiting on the phone though. Mickey

I was on hold off & on (and transferred between two CMs) for approximately 25 minutes until a very nice CM told me that no AP rates were available for October at the GF in any room category due to the huge popularity of the Fairy Tale Package.

I was booked at CBR at the AAA rate $106.40 + tax = $118.64. Got the AP rate this morning for a king room (all that was available) $89 + tax = $99.24.

Standard room rack rate is $133 + tax = $148.30
King room rack rate is $148 + tax = $165.02
AAA rate is 20% off rack rate.
AP rate is 40% off rack rate.

I was just checking for 10/24 for a one night stay b/c we check-in to BWV for the rest of the week. I was looking for a MK area hotel. Poly had no availability, CR had tower only for $278.00 and WL had conceirage only for 278.00. I didn't ask about GF. I checked on AKL too since we love it so much they only had deluxe pool and savannah rooms fro 251.00 and 255.00. Since its just for one night I was looking for the cheapest rates so I passed on all of these. May call back for a mod, but probably will do off-site now first night.

I was told all three monorail resorts were not available at AP rates on Dec 5-6.
Anticipating that I told my TA ANY deluxe resort and ended up with a very nice rate of $174 at Yacht Club.

Just got off the phone............only on hold a minute. I also checked GF from Dec 1 thru Dec 6. They didn't have the 5 nights available. They did have 4 nights available at the GF checking in on Dec 1.

We picked up the Poly from Dec 1 thru Dec 6. 5 nights GV, $948 including tax ($170 + tax per night). DW would have liked GF and $199 + tax is a great rate, but we had to have the night of Dec 5 which wasn't available. Poly at $170 + tax is an incredible rate.

Even though I posted after erik, I was on the phone for about 45 minutes making Luau and Candlelight Processional reservations. I guess it is possible I picked up one of the last Poly rooms for the night of Dec 5. The CM said it was amazing how many people were calling for AP rates today.

I had a reservation for a standard room at WL for Dec. 19-27 and was told there were no more AP discounts for a standard room during those dates.

So I was offered a woodsview room at AP discount for Dec. 19-27, so I'm happy! ($139.30 per night, tax included)

I had most of my vacation covered at the dolphin, but needed a day or two at the start. Called about CBR and AKL on Dec 6-13-just to see what was available and CBR only had king rooms for most of the nights. Made a 2 night reservation at AKL (standard and savannah available)which will fill in the dates that I couldn't get the AP at the Dolphin for.

so I finally have the rest of the year booked, this is how I'm handling future trips:

Labor Day weekend: Swan, special rate $99 per night

September weekend: OKW on DVC points

Halloween weekend: OKW on DVC points

November: 1 night at Dolphin (government employee rate), 5 nights BCV on DVC points, 3 nights AKL Concierge ($249 AP Rate)

December 6 nights: BCV on DVC points

I was told yesterday there was nothing (AP rates) available for my WL trip 12/6-12. I called back today and was offered an upgrade from standard to courtyard and still saved $300 bucks over my previous reservation so I'm a happy camper.

Called this morning and was told no moderates except for CSR 10/24 thru 11/3. I have rack rate for CBR but also booked yesterday at the Poly at 204 per night. I now have to talk my DW into spending 600 more for the room. 1440 plus tax for CBR and 2040 plus tax for Poly. That is a great savings of 1400 off rack rate.

Just some things to consider that probably helped sell out some of the resorts:

Other than MNSSHP being mostly on Fridays and Sundays, which helped book up the weekends in October, plus Monday the 13th is a Gov. holiday, making for a long weekend Oct. 10-13.

Plus the big official openning of Mission Space Oct. 9th (I think this is the correct date), which I would think, lots of folks will make the weekend out of it, especially the big wigs that will be attending (probably lots of folks from NASA and Disney--I think an invitation only event at EPCOT)

The golf tournament is Oct. 23-26, plus there are 2 MNSSHP (the 24th and 26th), making this a tough weekend to get a room.

The food and wine festival begins Oct. 18 and runs until Nov. 16.

Festival of the Masters is the weekend of Nov. 7-9
And if the crowds can get worse
there is also the Super Soap Weekend the same times Nov. 8-9

Tues. Nov. 11th is another gov. holiday, causing folks to take a long weekend Nov. 7-11

I also hear that this is Jersey week Nov. 10-14

And Nov. 15-16 is the last weekend of the food and wine.

And lets not forget that with the holidays, lots of family come in and visit with their CM relatives--so lots of CMs book the weekends for their friends and relatives and usually get a great rate.

Friends are meeting us at WDW. They just called today and were told no AP rates at any resort for 11/28 to 12/5. :( But AAA rates at all of the resorts for the same time period, Guess they should have called earlier.
