I have to admit to being a pretty picky eater (although in the last year or so, my tastes have expanded... I even went to a Vietnamese restaurant last week and fell in love with the food!). I decided to try Marakesh during my last visit. let me tell you, I stood out front, looking at the menu, then walking away, then coming back to look again... you'd think I was deciding the guilt or innocence of a man on trial for murder. Anyway, I decided to give it a try and... I loved it! The menu is pretty good about specifically telling you what's in each dish, and I had a great server who walked me through it. Plus, the atmosphere was SO cool, from the decor to the musicians and the belly dancer. Personally, i give it a big, big thumbs up.
As an added bonus, it seems to be a spot a lot of people either don't know about or are wary of because they don't know about the country's food. This means it's usually not crowded at all! Of course, that said, the week your going is pretty crowded to begin with, so people may wind up trying places they aren't familiar with rather than wait in line for favorites which are crowded. I would definitely recommend making a priority seating arrangement!

Most guest I have talked to are not too sure about going to this restaurant. But after they try it they love it. The food is very good. If you would like to look at the menu go to www.wdwig.com/menu/menus.htm
We have eaten there on several occasions and the food was always good.

I'm as picky an eater as they come, and I love this restaurant - LOVE it! :) The beef brewat rolls, chicken bastilla, and harira soup (tomato base, but nothing like American tomato soup) are all WONDERFUL. Plus excellent service and a beautiful atmosphere - what's not to like? :)

This is my favorite restaurant at EPCOT.
I have plans on eating there again in October.

I am your basic meat & potato eater on top of being somewhat picky ( :o ) and not adventurous at all (shoot, I was hesitant to try my first Kaki-Gori!).
But I LOVE Marrakesh!! My DW and I always eat there at least once, if not more often, on every trip to WDW. For lunch I really enjoy the chicken kabobs -- they are delicious and the sauce is not very exotic. In fact, if you wanted to play it really safe, ask the server for the sauce on the side or to hold it -- but trust me, you'll be missing out if you hold it. I also liked the beef brewat rolls (appetizer).
If you like salmon, their version is very tasty and again not too exotic. I think their herbs and spices really enhance the flavor of the salmon. BTW, they broil the salmon.
Another tasty chicken dish is the lemon chicken (done with olive oil and garlic), but the garlic is not overpowering. It's a lot of chicken (1/2 chicken) so be prepared.
For dessert, do try the Marrakesh Delight (fresh fruit topped with mint ice cream spinkled with almonds and orange blossom water. YUM!!!

It's one of my absolute favorites! We're going again in November. The food is great and the floor show is very entertaining.
Enjoy!
