I've heard just a little about it. It's supposedly set up as an awards type show, similar to the Golden Globes. My friend has seen the story boards and tells me that it looks pretty good. Can't wait to hear some reviews.

The Golden Mickeys premieres aboard the Disney Wonder beginning Aug. 28 and coming soon on the Disney Magic. The show combines live-action theatre with film, video, music and colorful pyrotechnics in a toe-tapping salute to Walt Disney and his legacy of classic animated films.
The most technically sophisticated stage show at sea, The Golden Mickeys is the newest performance in the line-up of
original Disney musicals aboard the Disney Cruise Line®. This new, character-filled, musical review uses all the glitz and
glamour of an awards show to honor the wonderful animated films and characters that have entertained millions for more
than 75 years.

As if attending a distinguished Hollywood awards show, guests entering the 977-seat Walt Disney Theatre are treated as
celebrities and given red carpet treatment lined with "paparazzi."
Once inside, this spectacular live stage show takes guests on a wonderful journey to celebrate comedy, romance, heroes
and villains of Disney films.

Wow! That sounds wonderful. I wonder how long before the Magic gets it too! We're going soon so I doubt it will be in time for this cruise. Maybe next years (yeah, mom wants to go and I just couldn't say no ;) )

I wonder how it will turn out! Looks like it's starting tomorrow!!! I hope that it will be on the Magic for my Sept. 20th cruise! Though I highly doubt it because that is the cruise right before dry dock. Ah well...it's something to look forward to for next time.
