Dollar Rent A Car

I know renting with National they demand a credit card but does any body know if Dollar will accept a Visa Debit Card as security. THank you

I don't know...but you might try calling their 800 # which is listed on their website.

I haven't tried it yet, however on the confirmation I received from them last week it says

"minimum credit card/debit card deposit, full rental amount plus 15%"

We recently rented a car from Dollar for a short trip to Tampa and we have a reservation with Dollar for our November trip to DW. We had absolutely no problem renting with our debit card in Tampa and asked about renting in Orlando with the card. We were told it would be no problem. According to the confirmation info we received, debit cards with a MC or Visa logo are accepted but you need to have the amount of the rental plus $200 or 15% (whichever is greater) available in your account. I always bring along a copy of our car insurance in case there are any questions too. Hope this helps!
