I read the age required is at least 13 yrs old and 52" tall.
My problem is that my DD wants to do this, but will turn 13 a month AFTER we visit SW. She's already 54" tall. Has anyone experienced this? I don't see what a difference of 4 weeks would make...but rules are rules....

I agree 4 weeks not that much diff but it may be to do with insurance and it may be very chancy too risk it my daughter also wanted this and she will just have turned 13 next year when we are going but I managed to convince her to do the dolphin swim and do trainer for day in couple of years when she is more older to enjoy it more:jester:

I did this when I was fourteen and I hate to say it but they are quite strict about ages (because of insurence and stuff like that) so I don't think your dd would be able to do it. Email seaworld and see what they say. I hope your dd is aloud to do trainer for a day because it is an incredible experience, good luck and I hope your dd is aloud to do trainer for a day!

thanks for the replies. I wouldn't jeopardize her in any way if these are the rules. She really wants to be a marine biologist and I know this would be an incredible experience - BUT - I will just take her along on the dolphin swim, I hear they are equally as exciting.

She is old enough to do the swim with the sharks experience, that might be a fun alternative for her!

The Trainer for a Day Package
* Trainer for a Day participants must be at least 6 years old. All participants under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a paying Trainer for a Day adult.
I got this from the DC website.
I started to get nervous while reading this thread, because I want to take DD for her 6 birthday.
