Hello, everyone!!

We'll be in Orlando in late October, and there are dozens of things on my "must-do" list. My sister, however, has been talking about just one thing since our last trip - she wants to get her hair braided, Caribbean style. I know there are several "hairwrap" stations throughout WDW, but what she really wants is the island braids that they put beads on. We saw a lot of people with them on our way home in March, and she's hoping to find out where they got them done.

Does anyone know if they do these braids anywhere at Sea World or Discovery Cove (or anywhere in Orlando - Disney, Universal), and, if so, have YOU (or your kids) gotten them?

They do do hairbraiding at Sea World - sort of up front in the park not far from where you come in. I don't remember seeing beads though. Could be the beads you saw last time were on people who did the cruise.

When we went on Sept 16th and Sept 19th, the hair braiders at Sea World were just outside of the Penguin Encounter (next to the Xtreme Games area)--they were doing wraps, braids, and temp tatoos. Some of the people getting braids were getting beads incorporated in their braids (at top and bottom of braid--didn't see anyone getting more beads than that).
The ladies up front at the Shamu Emporium (near entrance right across from where you pick up maps etc) were just doing wraps. I think it depends on who is stationed where because we've been before at other times and no one is doing braids then other times just the ladies up front (and sometimes in the Key West area near the face painting booth) were.
