DH and I are thinking of doing the 6:45 show and then eating afterwards..my ? is: Is there a special ticket to get into the seating area for CP? I know there was when we saw Shockwave! Also, how do you get the 15% off????

There is a dinner package that you can get with reserved seating that includes a 15% discount. You will be given a badge that can be used to get 15% off of most merchandise at Epcot the day of the performance--we always save more than the cost of the dinner package! The reserved seating is usually in the covered area of the theatre.

Right, we are going to get the dinner package...but if I eat after the show, how can I shop and get 15% off?

You pickup your badge and dinner voucher at your resort or the Epcot entrance, you don't get it when you enter the show. You can even pick them up before the day. I got mine when we checked in on Saturday morning for Sunday night.

That's what I was wondering thanks Deb! We can pick it up at the resort--we are staying at the Swan..they should have it, right?

If the 15% is important to you verifiy before you buy. Since the packages are not out yet, who knows what they will do this year. (I have NO advance knowlege one way or the other, but this is Disney where everything is subject to change!)

The 15% is not that important, though it is nice...
I am more concerned about how we get in...I plan on calling this week for reservations

Does the badge have the date on it? You can only get the 15% off that particular day you reserved the package for, right?

Yes, badge is date stamped for your day. And as said, can be picked up at Guest Relations at the park or your resort. I do know last year that also had a booth right near the pin area in front of the American Adventure, as I had forgotten to get my badge at the resort earlier. (not sure previous years because I did remember those years, LOL)

Thanks for the info about the badges. This year we are doing the CP dinner package. What a great perk to be getting 15% off in Epcot shops on the night of the show!

The Swan/Dolphin won't have the CP badges. You can get them at any DISNEY resort.

You could probably stop at the guest services desk at the Yacht or Beach Club to pickup your badges. They do have them at the tent by the theater but I would advise getting them earlier. When we had the package in 2000, they ran out of the badges at our resort (boardwalk) so they directed us to the tent. The computer at the tent was having problems, they said to come back later. Well I wanted to start shopping so I waited until it came back up. Last year I made sure we got them ahead of time at our resort. I saved over $20 in shopping discounts, I really rang up a bill in MouseGears! There are some items not eligible - collectables like Hummel, Swarowski, etc.

why do they always tell me to go to the CP desk outside the front entrance of Epcot...when you can pick the badge up at the reosrt or right there at American adventure...???!!!

You can get them at any DISNEY resort.

Thanks for your information...I know that the Swan doesn't necessarily have Mickey theming but it is called the Walt Disney World Swan...we can get e-ride tickets there...just because they doen't have mickey soaps it's not a disney resort? I know it's owned by an outside company, but we love this resort too...

CM told me there is a possibility the Swan would be able to give us our badges and tickets for CP...

I purchased CP tickets yesterday and was told there is no 15% discount this year. She was positve and volunteered the info.

No biggie...would be nice to have ,but if we don't have it it's no big deal..just shows the discrepancy among CMs

It may be possible this year, but I had to get my CP badges at the Boardwalk the past 2 years when staying at the Swan/Dolphin.

I meant Disney-owned resort - which excludes the Swan and Dolphin.
